  1. Sounds like an awesome spring break! I hope you have a great time mate and best of luck with school
  2. I didn't realise you'd been on GG for 7 years, that's awesome! I hope to still see you around on the server and I wish you the very best of luck with your business. Thank you for all the work that you've done over the years helping out in the staff team
  3. Sorry to hear about Blackbelt, that's a really moving story and I completely understand. My thoughts are with you mate
  4. A note for Nutter, when you're feeling defeated as though you're so close yet so far, and an unfindable LUA error ends what was otherwise a productive coding session; remember that by adding this system hundreds of players will feel the same sense of pain. That's exactly what we're after lmao
  5. +1 Confirming referral! I spoke with Ganja Goblin last month about applying, and I believe I must have given my referral then. I'd like to say that I've known him since last year, and he's always been one of the most kind and decent people I have met playing on the server. He genuinely cares about the other players, he has fantastic interactions with everyone that I have seen and is always very active and social. He helps other players who are in need of guidance, while also integrating well amongst the older players who've been around a while. I believe that he would be joining the staff team for the right reasons - that being not for the sake of status or power, but to actually and genuinely make some kind of difference in the community and protect others against toxicity, with the aim of ensuring the longevity of the server so that hopefully many more people can enjoy the same times that we have all had. He understands what it means to have been on the other side of that, which I believe puts him in a great position to better understand and help others he will undoubtably encounter in the same situations. He understands the rules well from what I have seen, and I'm counting on him to be a truly fantastic member of staff! I will say that it's exceptionally rare for me to give my referral, I hold incredibly high standards for staff on the server and don't believe that literally anyone is perfect (including myself). In fact, it's likely that you won't see me giving out a referral again, since becoming manager I remain largely neutral in order to better represent the player base. So please do me proud Ganja Goblin! Hold yourself to the highest of standards and never settle for anything less than perfect. I know you have what it takes
  6. I think these are some pretty good questions actually, so I'll do my best to go through them to help clear up the specifics: Absolutely! If I were to put this on a difficulty scale from 1-10, I'm literally aiming for 10. It should be brutally difficult to earn the Ironman title, which makes the unique reward all the more appealing and coveted. I'd anticipate that players would require multiple attempts to complete it, just as in a lot of other games, it's certainly not for the faint hearted lol. I mean it depends on the person, I respect your view on this and DarkRP has many different play styles, some people just want to play as a DJ and chill with others, some like to be a cop and search for criminals. This suggestion appeals to those who already enjoy jobs such as the Meth Manufacturer, Crack Manufacturer, etc; jobs which offer good XP. In fact you might find that some jobs (such as delivery man, or dumpster diving as a hobo) become a key element in the early game, given the decent gains of these classes are often overlooked. Even if you choose to base for the entire duration as a manufacturer, of course the difference here is that at some point you're going to have to leave the base and sell up to the NPC, the thrill of making it back safely and making some good progress is (to me at least) pretty thrilling. I appreciate it's not everyone's cup of tea though. I mean this is up for discussion. I'd say you don't keep the money or prestige, that's just part of the brutal price you pay for achieving this unique title. They could, but often people don't know for sure they're going to die and for most players, they'd die before they had a chance to disconnect. It's certainly possible but I don't think it will be very commonplace. They'd be sent to your "non-challenge mode" for want of a better expression. You'd only have access to donor weapons when you're not participating in the challenge. Nope, only on death (it could be linked for when the kill is shown). This means not on job change, respawn, reconnect, etc. Only on death. It would be tough shit lmao
  7. Description: The DarkRP Ironman challenge would start with a NPC you could speak to somewhere on the map (in the same way you can speak with the duel NPC for example). They would offer you a challenge, and if you choose to accept, everything on your players account will temporarily reset (don't panic, you get it back if you die / complete the challenge). This would mean your money, XP, levels, prestige, inventory, bank, donor weapons, access to custom class; everything reset as if you've just joined the server for the first time. The challenge is then to make it to prestige 1 without dying, which means levelling up 100 times and then purchasing the rebirth totem for $10M. Yes, you could absolutely loose all of your progress at level 99 because someone killed you by accident in the street, tough luck, that's what makes this challenge so difficult! If you die, everything will revert back to how it was before you started the challenge and you'll have to start the challenge all over again, if you want to. But if you succeed, you'll be given a reward (we can discuss what that might be) but my current thoughts are a unique point shop item to brag with perhaps, such as a gold coloured metal gear / sprocket as a chest centrepiece? Suggested additional limitations: - You can only take from your own printers (to avoid mass alting) - You can only be healed via a doc_kit, med_kit (You have to find someone to heal you) - Players can't give you money, but you can still give money in order to buy weapons or other items and services (so you can only earn it from jobs) Reasoning: This challenge would be just as exciting for both new and old players alike, and something that people could really get struck into. For players who have made loads of money and reached high prestige levels already, this could be a great new way to show off your skill and understanding of the game, while also offering a refreshing new take on what a life means to a DarkRP player! I would anticipate even old players might want to come back to give this a try perhaps? Additional Information: N/A
  8. Awesome work! The server is running better than ever and I'm pushing 200+ FPS with improved latency (which is important to me, given I'm in the UK) and a higher tick rate, all combined to make for smooth gaming This is honestly great. Plus I'm so happy the cinema is back too
  9. ACCEPTED What better way to show off your wealth then to have a stack of cash as a hat? This will be added to the server with what will likely be a hefty price tag to suit. Note that while this will be accepted here, it will still need to be passed over to the development team for a second opinion to ensure it's feasible to be added.
  10. DENIED This job / player model is not something that we are looking to add to the server at this point in time.
  11. DENIED This is a unique and fun class added to give those who've earned a lot of XP over time (and therefore a high enough level) a new role to explore, and the level has been set as such. This is not something that we are looking to change at this point in time.
  12. DENIED There's a large variety of weapons that are currently available on the server and so this is not something we are going to be adding at this point in time.
  13. ALREADY ACCEPTED This is already against the server rules as it stands. The no-collide tool is restricted on the server, and so the only way for no-collide props to exist is via exploitation of other tools, which is a banable offence. With that said, enforcement will be increased to ensure that everyone is following the rules.
  14. DENIED The no-collide tool is restricted in the server, and so as it currently stands, the only way to have no-collided props (whether that be glass or anything else) is by exploitation of other tools which is a banable offence. This is not something that we will be changing, and enforcement will be increased to ensure people are following the rules.
  15. ACCEPTED Due to the amount of positive community support, this will be added to the server and will likely be featured in the point shop as a rare / unique item (just as it is in OSRS) to show your support for this wonderful game. It will likely be either priced to be rare, or obtainable through only certain limited times and events, although the specifics of which are subject to change during implementation.
  16. ACCEPTED This feature will be added to help incentivise new players to join the server, while also potentially rewarding those who invite their friends to join and stay in the community. The benefits will be balanced to ensure that there is no risk of exploitation, so the current suggestion (subject to change) is as follows: A list of some of the benefits for new players who get referred may include: - Limited time double-XP boost - Pointshop Reward - Small !credits reward (in-game, not donator credits) - Some low-level !unbox crates If the new player remains in the community and reaches a certain level, the player who referred them will get benefits such as: - Forbidden Crate (or a multiple of) - A unique hat / accessory to show off their companionship
  17. DENIED The suggested system isn't something that we are looking to add to the server at this point in time.
  18. ACCEPTED This will be added to the server with 50% of the bail to be paid into the PD vault. This will help ensure that money is redistributed fairly and without the possibility of exploitation, while also encouraging more players to want to raid the PD more often, given that the vault will fill up much faster, adding to the RP element of the PD system. Please note that accepted suggestions will not necessarily be implemented into the server, but rather passed over to the development team for a second opinion, at which point they are free to decide whether the implementation is feasible
  19. Sorry to hear you're leaving mate, you're a decent guy and you've helped a lot on the server during your time here! I wish you all the best and I hope to catch you around in game
  20. Congratulations to everyone who's worked hard over the past month, kicking 2023 off to a great start and keeping our server a fun place for all A huge well done to our MVP's @X12_ @Harm @plungy for all of your incredible work, you guys have some crazy sit counts, you should all be proud! Thank you to everyone for your kind words, and congratulations to @KingMash on also being promoted to manager, he's a truly great guy and of course a true DarkRP legend! I'd like to say though that you can all achieve anything you want to in life, from a position here in this staff team to your dream job IRL, nothing is unachievable to anyone reading this. If you put your mind to it, work hard, overcome challenges that are presented to you in a logical and composed manor, and manage to hold on while life's rollercoaster throws in some twists and turns, you'll be sure to go far! For those who didn't quite meet the mark, don't be disheartened. This moment marks the start of a new day, a new week, and a new month; what better opportunity to move forwards!? And if you ever feel you need assistance or aren't quite sure where things are going wrong, please feel free to reach out, we're a team and we want to see everyone to succeed. Here's to another month, cheers
  21. That’s ok, it’s the staff member who issued the ban who’ll need to provide their evidence in order for us to make a roper judgement.
  22. @Ghostieee Please could you provide your evidence
  23. Hi there @Ethanstull41305 Please could you add your SteamID to your appeal? If you're not sure how to find it, go to the link provided (https://steamid.io/) and you'll be able to search for it there. It will be given in the format STEAM_0:0:00000000. We'll need your SteamID in order to process your appeal further.
  24. +1 I've spoken to you many times in game and you've always come across as a polite and well mannered guy who seems to get on well with others and abide by the rules. While the reasons that you've given for wanting to join the team wont win any awards, it's not an English exam and I think you've given a reasonable and true account of who you are and what you'd like to achieve. You've got a clean record with no previous bans over the 106 hours that you've been playing on the server which is good. I think that overall you seem like a decent guy and I don't see any reason why you shouldn't be given a chance to join the team. Best of luck
  25. -1 As mentioned in your previous applications, this is a major red flag for me. If you truly had the best interests of the player base at heart, jumping on an alt account to cause chaos would never have crossed your mind. While I understand you regret that decision now, I don't feel comfortable with the idea of you re-joining the staff team, given that this took place so recently. Even in general, I personally believe that anyone who wants to join the staff team should realistically demonstrate perfect behaviour for a decent period of time, given that the sole purpose of the staff team is to enforce the server rules. I don't dislike you by any means, and I'd be happy to have a good laugh with you in game, but as for joining the staff team, it's a no from me.
