Update:
Everything's already done and pretty much in the testing phase
Just need @Nutter to test with me and then hopefully we can adjust things where needed and yall will see it on the server asap
(Also, you will not be able to toggle your fading door when it gets cracked by the deployable cracker, so once it's open, its open ;))

I made crafting rarity-based weapons random. So if you craft an ak for example, the chances of you getting a top tier ak is going to be super rare. So don't expect 100 ppl to be running around with insane guns lol

We may want to take a look at the in-game credits shop for inspiration. Similar to the limited time use of those items, maybe you could craft those items for limited time use aswell. Let's say you make a medkit for example. The medkit could be limited by time or only lasts for 1 life but what I think works the best is having it be limited use so once you use all the heals then it gets taken away. This could also apply to guns so once you've shot x amount of bullets the gun "breaks" and needs to be repaired or another made.
Cosmetics might be an addition in the future

Now for an actual +1/-1. Total +1. DarkRP meta is too strong, and in a way, stale. Any way to crack into a base and whoop a level 95 with 85 gorillian dollars without being cooked by a DLore is great.
If someone steals your printer and you steal it back. It'll still explode after the 2 hours from when it was initially claimed, it will not explode. This is to prevent people constantly disconnecting then reconnecting after an hour and reclaiming their printers from their friends so they don't have to rebuy the printers.
Also, once a printer is claimed from the initial owner, it can be claimed by someone else but the 2 hour timer will not reset. That would mess it up for the original owner because now it can take longer than 2 hours for them to be able to rebuy printers

Here are some of the things I've done that can potentially be added in the coming updates if the community seems to be for it and nutter butter is down
Lets be honest...
Right now, the meta is:
- Build a base with a tight ass entrance
- Buy printers from other people
- Sit inside for hours at a time and never get raided because it's impossible/pointless since you can disconnect and printers vanish
- Become a trillionaire
Here are some ways we can shake it up a little bit
Printer claiming
- If you successfully raid a base, you will be able to claim the printers, so that if the printer owner disconnects, they wont disappear.
- The printers are automatically destroyed after 2 hours if claimed
- The original printer owner will not be able to rebuy printers (even if they reconnect) until their original printers are destroyed.
- Printer farmers will still be able to buy other peoples printers, they just shouldn't claim them because they'll end up blowing up after 2 hours
One major flaw to this...
The main issue with this was it would be terrible for new players who can't build good bases. They'd get completely gutted by more experienced players who'll just come and claim their printers for two hours...
The solution: (Shoutout to @TheBigMike for this idea):
I've made a separate printer (which would be cheaper) that can only be upgraded 2-3 levels (whatever garnet sets it at). This lower tier printer CAN NOT be claimed and will serve as a replacement for people with less money who can't even afford all the crazy upgrades
So basically printer claiming will incentivize yall to raid, and incentivize yall to build better bases
Also, if someones printer gets claimed, they're more likely to RP as another job (like pd) until their printers explode
And now for the more controversial one...
Deployable Keypad Cracker Buff
What this buff can potentially bring:
- Deployable keypad crackers will now be stackable. Meaning, you can have more than one at a time. There has not been a decision on how they will be sold to players (BMD, NPC, or F4 Menu), but you'll be able to get into a base just using deployable keypad crackers
- Fading doors will open for a LOT longer. This number hasn't been decided (Garnet wants 30 seconds but thats too pussy) I think something more like 1-2 minutes would do the trick
- Also, so this isn't too OP. You will be notified if a keypad cracker is placed on one of your keypads
What is the point of this?
Be honest, those bases with tight ass entrances are impossible to raid, so theres no point in even trying. One step in and your cocked by a dragon lore. If you get together in groups and use deployable keypad crackers, your chances of raiding successfully are a lot higher, and it forces people to be more creative with their base building
Also, whats the point of printer claiming if you can't even get into a base
Cameras
I still don't know why cameras we're disabled, but I'm looking into getting whatever they were removed for fixed (like making them not physgunnable, or whatever). Don't get too excited tho I have no information about this yet
Again, none of this is confirmed 100%. Please let us know your thoughts on this potential update. Since it would kinda of shake up the concept of raiding/basing currently, any suggestions help. Thx

1. If the claimer disconnects printer will disappear same as normal. If the original printer owner disconnects/reconnects they still wont be able to buy printers until their original printers disappear/are destroyed.
2. Same as what happens now if someone switches to a non printer owning job. If they switch back they wont be able to buy printers still if theirs are claimed
3. I made our current printers so I can integrate it easy. I had already made a claiming feature (without auto destroying) but took it off as it can be abusive
4. If a printer is claimed once, and then again an hour and a half later, it'll still only have 30 minutes left. Basically if your printer is stolen and claimed your time without printers wont go over 2 hours no matter how many times it is claimed

Yea so if it's not claimed by the raiders, its there till you log off (this is for people that sell their printers and AFK). But if they feel like you're going to leave so you can rebuy printers, they can claim them to be safe and after 2 hours it's gone and the original owner can now rebuy printers.

If you really think about it, nothing is really changing a crucial part of DarkRP. The only thing that might shake things up is the breaching method but I think thats needed since raiding is impossible now.

1. 3 Minutes might be too long but I think we'd need longer than 15 seconds to have enough time to breach all the doors one by one
2. If the raider doesn't claim the printers, they'd simply vanish when you disconnect, so they almost have to claim them to be safe. If you reraid them and get your printers back, the time would be cut in half until it destroys itself. This is to prevent people from constantly claiming the same printer for hours without having to buy another one.

Here's an idea to make raiding more doable and gives players an actual incentive to raid
Printer claiming:
Note to printer farmers: YOU CAN STILL BUY PRINTERS FROM OTHER PLAYERS AND HAVE THEM AFK, THIS IS JUST A CHEAPER AND MORE FUN WAY TO DO IT, JUST DONT CLAIM THE PRINTER!
If you were to get raided (haha get shit on), the raider will be able to claim your printer for 2 HOURS (can be longer can less, depends on what we agree on). Within that 2 hours, you can no longer buy a printer. After the 2 hours passes, your printer is destroyed (to prevent infinite money rats) and you can now buy a printer again.
Once a printer is claimed once, it CAN be claimed again with another raid, but the time is now cut in half (instead of 2 hours, it's 1 hour until it explodes), and so on (1 hour, 30 min, 15 min, no more claiming...)
Pros:
- Incentive to raid
- Make more money if you're good
Cons:
- None because everything i make is flawless (events wasn't my fault)
Base security system:
For all the paranoid/to scared to go outside their base people, I can make a system that notifies you whenever a keypad is being cracked/a door is being lock picked that is owned by you. Make this cost like $5k or some shit idk
Pros:
- Leave your base in peace
Cons:
- None because everything i make is flawless (events wasn't my fault)
NEW BREACHING METHOD:
Now here's the controversial one...
Raiding now with the current tools is pretty much impossible. This is why people like me resort to hacks (which still doesn't help). I want to make a tool that is placed on a fading door (for 15-20 seconds), and if it isn't disabled (or shot?) will open the fading door for 3 WHOLE MINUTES. This provides enough time to breach the other fading doors without being trapped in a 10 inch square where you are 100% going to die
This tool would be bought from a black market dealer, or for Police, it would be bought from an NPC in the PD (PD gets a better version of it).
Make each one cost a lot because it can be seen as OP (not really, just defend ur base better)
Pros:
- Makes raiding easier/more realistic
- More of a reason to become a black market dealer
- You won't be demolished by a Dragon Lore as soon as you turn around to crack a keypad
- You will HAVE to be more creative with your base designs
Cons:
- None because everything i make is flawless (events wasn't my fault)
Everything I've mentioned I can easily make within the span of a few days.
Please leave suggestions on wether or not you'd like to see something like this and the reason behind it
Suggest improvements (realistic ones plz)

1) Low tier printers can't be claimed but still can be stolen. But, if you disconnect and come back they'll disappear and you can just buy it again. Raiders can still destroy them.
2) That's a good idea, but I'd rather for now people just report fail raiders and have their money refunded to them and money taken from the fail raiders. And if you take your printers back it doesn't stop the countdown. This is to prevent people from giving their printers to their friends for 2 hours so they can disconnect to do something else just to come back and keep their printers
3) Nothing, there's a little menu that pops up that asks if you're sure you want to claim the printers, so that should stop people from spam claiming 5 printers in 2 seconds. Other than that, you just gotta keep ur printers safe
