Re-appeal in 2 months and be completely honest and forthright. You even had people vouching for you believing your original ban was false or proof-less.

    Hello! My friends and I are big into escape rooms and I’ve recently done my 50th. It crossed my mind that something similar could be made on Garry’s Mod and could be fun to make and eventually play. So here are the details:

    Rewards (Obviously the most important detail): 

    1st Place: 60 Credits

    2nd Place: 30 Credits

    3rd Place: 10 Credits

    Rules

    • The judges will include myself and then any executives available. Priority would be Garnet > Proggy > Executive for the server > Executive for the player’s main server (If different) > Other Executives.

    • Your room's max occupancy can be whatever you’d like but must be at least 2. 

    • *You can prepare your room to be spawned and completed by the judges on any Garnet Gaming server.*

    • You will have access to all* of the tools available to us via Staff Commands.

      • ie: Giving weapons, teleporting, setting health, etc.

      • The commands will be available and run for you within reason. You should not build a room that requires 4 GMs constantly running commands. 

    • You’re welcome to utilize all the props that aren’t blacklisted, tools like textscreens/pulleys/ropes/etc, and NPCs*.

    Tips

    • Connect with the staff team for the server you are going to attempt to build on. Double check what tools and assets are available for their use and subsequently your use. The last thing you want is to build something in Single Player and it not be allowed on the server.

    • Make it a dupe

    • If you’re going to have different rooms (highly recommended), you should make them as different Dupes if possible. That way your prop limit and what not will be refreshed.

      • ie: If we are meant to walk through a door into another room, you can remove your first room and spawn your second room at no penalty.

    Rubric - What you will be graded on:

    • Creativity: How well did you utilize the tools available to you.

    • Entertainment: What features made us laugh, jump, think, say wow.

    • Story/Theme: How well did you set up the ambience and did the room capture the story.

    • Difficulty: Was it a cakewalk? Did it require Einstein? We’re Goldilocks and we want it juuust right. 

    This event runs through the end of the month and playthroughs will begin in October!

    AK-103 Buff in comparison to AK-74

    Yo! Safe to say I'm the biggest nerd in GG when it comes to CW 2.0, how to interpret it, balance it, etc.

    @Horse, you bring up some fair points where on the surface level, the AK-103 appears to be lacking comparatively to the AK-74. I want to bring up a few points to help you understand where I came from in having the weapons the way they are.

    A) Most important reason - Garnet has said that he will NOT ever give SOC better weapons than base factions. Rather, they will receive more advanced attachments at times. I understand why he's said this and 100% agree. The newer players should not also be at a weapons disadvantage when they're already way behind the learning curve.

    B) Stats aren't everything. And in this particular case, firerate and subsequently DPS, are not everything. Too high of a firerate, relative to recoil, can be a bad thing! A simple test of each gun with optimal (in my opinion and really in all attachment variations) will show that the AK-103 is much easier to control. The lower firerate, while giving it a roughly 11 (incredibly minor) deficit in DPS, makes it easier to control. Especially when you factor in point C.

    C) Attachments. The Barska sight is definitely a server favorite in the vision it offers. But the real difference maker here is the Foregrip. It positively affects both Mobility AND Recoil. Which leads me to point D.

    D) I'd like to point you in the direction of section 4. Out of all of the "Important Stats" the weapons are the same except in Mobility and Recoil, where the AK-103 eclipses the AK47 by 13% and 2-4% respectively.

    Conclusion: The AK-103 is in fact better than the AK-47 in how the totality of its' stats make up it's gameplay. You can be more accurate & way more accurate on the move thanks to it's combination of attachments and stats, while sacrificing near negligible DPS.

    Almost everything you said was wrong or predatory. However rules are still rules and now that Vet Mass is a 6-month ban, it applies to you as well. Regardless as to how much your appeal is off-putting.
