I'd like to see what you have to say about this, but I guess it is easier to just react with "disagree" than to have an opinion on the matter.

Both of you know that the meta of the server is absolutely fucked because the server is not appealing to newer players and the meta tends to answer to the cries of veteran players. In my opinion, this needs to change for the sake of the server's health. The only answer vets have when new players complain about the current meta of the server is along the lines of "skill issue" or "try out for a SOC faction." I've had a handful of friends, who are not bad players in FPS shooters, who play the server but stop playing because the combat is brutally unfair and unforgiving for new players - New players are given an assault rifle and have to face vets with one-shot snipers who have thousands of hours on the server.

Consider this and ask yourself why this is, why are all of the SOC factions that don't have one-shot snipers asking for them? It's because they're tired of trying to play with the guns they have and want to resort to the simplest way of playing the game. GB, 055, and TSFU have been asking for snipers that can compete with DF, ISI, and Rangers. Objectively speaking, if snipers were only one-shots due to a headshot, then the server would have a significantly healthier meta and would be more forgiving toward new players.

I'm going to be brutally honest, I'm sick and tired of veteran players having their heads so far up their asses that they can't see how fucking boring the server is towards newer players. The server is dying and vets fail to realize that their beloved server is in dire need of a facelift. It's not about implementing RP, doing events, or faction-based activities - It's about the recurring event that happens multiple times a day, war. If war is boring and unfair to the new player, then we will never have a sustainable population on the server.

Disagree with me all you want, but the scope of my views go beyond the petty faction-level grievances and encompasses the well-being of the server as a whole. The complaints of newer players mean much more to me than the complaints of vets. Player retention is the biggest problem we have on the server and if we don't address this now, we're fucked.

We can't keep putting useless bandaids on the problems the server is facing. DMRs would be more viable if the snipers were not so overpowered. These weapons, ie. DF Barrett and ISI JNG, are absolutely massive and are incredibly hard to control when shouldering them (especially after running with them). I would be absolutely stunned if someone could run 100m and still put an accurate shot on a target.

Of course, the SOPMOD will outrange and outclass the MP40 at any distance that isn't close range. The MP40 is supposed to be an SMG, so I don't see why a 9mm bullet needs a damage increase. The fire rate and the easy handling of the MP40 are what made the weapon so devastating. I understand that GG isn't trying to be a mil-sim, but if that's the case then why don't we aim for a more arcade-style format? It's not fair that a 9mm SMG is going to have more base damage than 5.56/.223 assault rifles.

If this MP40 damage buff goes through, then I want a damage buff on all 9mm weapons and a damage buff on all weapons that use a larger bullet than the 9mm. It's crucial to understand that it's not the gun that does the damage, it's the bullet.

I understand where you are coming from. As realistically none of the weapons on the server would be able to do this in real life. My issue being your ideals still fall under the massive overhaul category. And doing something like this will dramatically change up the server. People have been used to the current style of gunplay for almost a decade. Something like this still wouldn't happen in my eyes. As I said me and @Reynoldshave found some solution to DMR's issue being will it be implemented or not. Snipers can be changed with a additional hand paralysis debuff including a massive speed reduction. But it would need MASSIVE community support as I said earlier in how people are already used to the current style and would need a alot of adapting to do something like this.

In regards to the MP40 the sopmod still outclasses it. It is still a better CQC option even though of the MP40's decent firerate. And if a damage buff does not go through a reload speed decrease is needed. Test out the weapon yourself and you may understand where I am coming from.

I understand that TSFU's guns are incredibly weak, but this goes against my preferences for the server's meta - A massive overhaul needs to be considered. Personally, I think the time to kill on the server should be much longer. All of my personal friends who have played the server once or twice complain about being sniped by an SMG or being one-shot out of nowhere.

    Here are my ideas:

Snipers should only be a headshot one-shot and do 70-85 damage to the body.

SMGs should have medium damage dropoff, a fast reload rate, a fast fire rate, and low base damage per shot.

ARs and battle rifles are underutilized because they are outclassed by snipers and SMGs. They need lower damage dropoff, a slow-medium reload rate, a medium fire rate, and about 25-32 damage per shot. The effective range of an AR-15 in real life is about 500 meters with an MOA of 1 per 100 yards. ARs are incredibly accurate, but it's up to the shooter to manage their shots at long range as the recoil is rather difficult to manage at long range.

Shotguns are in a decent spot. Devastating at close range with a nasty damage dropoff. I would like to see different types of ammo be available.

Massive Overhauls are extremely unlikely in the current state of the server. However, a DMR overhaul in general will be pushed out soon (I hope). The MP40 does need some spicing up in addition to the g3a3. Some weapon swaps are possible like G3A3 to the militant class (just an example). The main issue with TSFU is its inability to compete against weapons like its counterpart Rangers. The Sopmod outclasses the MP40 by far and the SVT TSFU has little to no chance of competing against the SR338 that the Rangers have. Yes, you don't want to make the server 1: 1 but Rangers outclass TSFU in every way. From explosives to better primary weapons. I do think a sniper is not essentially needed for the faction to become better, however, a change of the SVT-40 is 100% needed. This also goes for every DMR on the server in general.

  4. What is recommended out of players is if you are applying for a Gamemaster Application you would go to Gamemasters for referrals as it makes more sense to do so. For staff, you would go to staff members. This does not mean you can't go to Gamemasters for a staff application. It is just what is recommended.

Your recent actions have been pretty interesting, and I personally just don't believe you're ready for staff. I don't believe you have proven that you are ready and that you are committed to the server and the staff community. I don't believe you have really made a name for yourself in the community, try to make more of a name of yourself by reacting to posts, ingame content, and being around more players. Aswell as being active in teamspeak which I see you in there most of the time, discord, forums, etc. And another thing, I was told by Drax that he never said you could have his referral which is a bit odd as you put his name in your referral list. Plus, Drax is a Gamemaster, I wouldn't put gamemasters in your Staff application, it just doesn't add up.

  5. Activity has been getting better however you do have much more to prove to warrant yourself a staff position. Interact with both AFG and US, engage in suggestion/discussions and you can see yourself in a staff position eventually.

  6. This rule isn't really specified within our current MRP rules. Players can throw some slander but it is breaking staff rules to do it. So technically players can do it but it should be kept to a limit.

  7. Most trainers do not cover majority of the training manuals. I have said this to many of my enlisted in where you want to get the big points out first. You can reference things like PTL and PTE but not go to deep about it. As far as removing DS and RAC it seems completely unwise to do something like this. Training does act as an roleplay aspect to an extent. And I fear incorperating something like this will just cause more issues on the server then there already is.
