    Skrt Ban Appeal

Look, this is going to pain me to say, but I agree with @Jackal - you turned the server to a competition with cheaters, with people you fully well knew were also cheating, and everyone else playing naturally/normally suffered the consequences. I always think Ban Evasion is such an interesting thing, had you appealed before trying to Ban Evade, you likely would have 10x a better chance at being brought back, whether conditionally, under surveillance, etc - but the act of going to presumably great lengths to not get caught also while evading, is something that can't be overlooked, at least from my perspective. While you did apologize for being immature in your comments (or at least that's how I'm reading it from sentence structure/wording). I'm not sure if anywhere you actually apologized unconditionally to those who suffered as a result of your actions, and your deceit in trying to cover up/deny virtually any allegation of cheating, which you did, to great lengths at some points. As well as no apology for evading. I appreciate that you were trying to prove you can be a contributing member, though you did it in the worst way possible, you still lied and deceived staff and players with evasion. If you did apologize for hacking/cheating or evading, fantastic, but it certainly doesn't appear here (firstly or again) where it should (Someone can link me to it and I'll happily remove this comment if it does appear outside this thread). If you didn't apologize anywhere, I'll leave that up to your consideration. Regardless of whether the appeal is accepted or not, because frankly, and by no fault to you, cheaters/hackers coming back and remaining on the server as a contributing member is a notoriously low success rate, with a high rate of being re-perma. I wish you luck in the appeal process, and hope you're doing well outside the realm of GarnetGaming, but from me it's a -1.
  2. Thanks for the update! Added for the British Tank Man
  3. +1 - This may be shocking to see, BUT - despite everything, I do think special always has good intentions and can be a huge asset to any team. Though we may disagree/butt heads every so often, in terms of a staff member, there are few more competent, dedicated, and motivated than special. Good Luck.
  4. +1 - Quite literally more mature than some 18+ year olds we have (sad but extremely true). The event ideas are solid, practical for the server/community, they could do with some refining/expansion in some areas, but that's what T. GM is for!
  5. +1 - As straightforward as I can be: Missa is one of the more active players we have and would be a very solid addition to the staff team.
  6. It's got the juice (in some parts) - Overall - I'd +1 except for the following parts which are -1'ed for the listed reasons This argument is immediately nulled by any donor sniper, that is purchased outside a class. Giving every single medic smokes may be a bit annoying, especially since Medic/Support Tryouts aren't a thing for entry factions. I'd stick with the armory and call it a day.
  7. I made sure to add it onto Garnet's to-do for you and Missa.
  8. +1 - If you truly think it can help the population, and it's temporary - Fuck it, why not? Also none of y'all can beat my Spetz Mountain time.
  9. I think Theos already let @Nutter know that you two were left off :)!
  10. Glad to be aboard the Death Star as Grand Moff! Congratulations you 3 :)!
  11. It's a pleasure to work along side a community that is finally LGBTQ+ friendly. My hope is other communities, like Garnet, follow suit.
  12. Rust career on Garnet as dead as the 41st Elite Corps. Disappointed events played out the way they did, but happy you handled the aftermath well, makes the transition easier. Good Luck on your future endeavors.
  13. Ah thanks for clarifying. Trees are hard because of the foliage/leaves so not much done there, as for mountain walls - definitely should not be the case, if you can grab a video and post them in the #bug-reports channel of the SWRP Discord, of any specific areas/instances. We can have them looked at! Thanks for the reply :)!
  14. Very much so. Thanks for the update :).
  15. Just to clarify It's not "argo no matter what range", it's "agro if you damage them or get too close" - don't want to be engaged back? Don't shoot and don't be too close. But as @Theos mentioned accuracy is controlled to a degree by GMs. My OCD can finally stop malding. ----- Thanks for the update! One of the larger updates we've had in a while, a good mix of QOL and new content!
  16. Looks way better than transmit_blue. Nice radio system
  17. Let me preface by saying - the application could use some work, expanding on some of the ideas, adding more detail, etc HOWEVER, I can see where you're going - though you have no GM experience, I think with extra training and TLC, you'd be a perfectly fine addition to the team. Based on in-game observations of you, I can tell you do want to pitch in and truly help. In the end, Trial GM is designed for people to assist other GMs and learn from them, I see no harm in giving you a shot. I would however recommend you expand on your ideas so that other people can see where you're going with them. Here are some areas I would expand: Make each of these 5 unique event ideas two or three sentences at the least. Who, What, Where, How, etc - any tools used, any event characters, support needed, etc. Example: My 1st event idea is XYZ. The backstory of the event is XYZ. The storyline could play out like XYZ. Resources needed would be XYZ. Hope this helps! Good Luck +1
  18. +1 - Seeing you from server open and watching you climb the ranks, your heart is in the right place. Your application is good, the event ideas are practical for the server/community, current resources/tools, able to incorporate everyone, not overly complex, and fun - which is a good balance of what events should be. You'd be a solid addition to the GM Team.

  20. While I do agree with the suggestion that a change needs to be made - largely for the reasons you pointed out @Reynolds. I think others like ( @PraetorDon@Smity_and I can't believe I'm saying this @Horseyyy ) have very valid points/counter-suggestions for how it should be handled. You don't need to remove them entirely, just fix the fact that there are factions with 30+ people on reserves and it's being shelled out to people who are still playing, just on another side, with no intention of coming back/helping again. If your keyboard is broken you fix/replace it, you don't get rid of your PC. There are definitely valid reasons someone needs to go on reserves, effective uses for them, etc. The system with-out-a-doubt devolved from it's original purpose and got a bit too much of a contest of who's friends with who. As opposed to previously mentioned, who deserves and/or needs them, as well as who's actually going to come back and help at a later date. +1 to the idea the the current system needs an overhaul and it's gotten a bit out-of-hand. -1 to the proposed solution, there have been better counter-suggestions in the thread.
  21. In-game name: Conway/Fleet Admiral Huxly/CG Provost Marshal SteamID (https://steamid.io/): STEAM_0:0:138807332 Staff members in-game name: Ziggy Staff members SteamID (/id (name): STEAM_0:1:171244538 Date & Time of incident: February 26th, 2022 Timezone: EST Ban Reason: Original Reason: Tampering with Documents | Subsequent Ban: "You are the biggest stain on GG history since release" How long were you banned for?: 2 weeks, then updated to a permanent ban. Proof of Ban: https://prnt.sc/z8ModkNkowZz What happened? (include any proof): As part of the 5 person team in-charge of "rebooting" this iteration of StarWarsRP, being largely known for phrasing, being good with google sheets, aesthetics, etc - I created a separate Google Account/Google Drive Account due to the shear number and widerange of docs needed. As opposed to other GarnetGaming related documents that were on my personal email, and are still available from early as 2016. This email was deleted/deactivated following my mutual departure (to clarify: I was offered to remain T. Admin, but declined as I felt the prospect of working together with the remaining management members would be too much of a possible conflict), this action subsequently deleted/archived/private any documents created. At the time, I was told by the then Superadmin that I would have a "right to do so" Why should your ban be removed?: This question/prompt on ban appeals is always very difficult for a lot of players, and I'm not exempt from that. Simply put, I broke the written rules, rules I was entrusted to enforce, and probably wrote a fair few of them, despite what "permission" or "clearance" I thought I had - I was not thinking clearly, given a tough proverbial pill to swallow, and consequences of my actions were not something I was concerned with (even though they should have been). Though I myself have denied many appeals for "appeals are not for apologies" - I feel an apology is owed: To start I'm sorry - to Garnet, to the then staff/gamemaster team(s), battalion leadership, and to the players impacting directly or indirectly, then current or future; I'm deeply sorry. I understand the severity of my actions and the negative impact they had on the community. Deleting community documents, especially without fully comprehending their significance, was a mistake, plain and simple - it was an impulsive decision that caused a great deal of inconvenience and distress to numerous teams/staff and the community. I acknowledge that these documents were crucial to the server's smooth functioning, and my actions had put a strain and impediment on the server/community. I want to make it clear that I am fully responsible for my actions, and I want to take this opportunity to again express my sincerest apologies for any harm or inconvenience that I have caused. I also understand that my actions have compromised my trust and integrity within the StarWarsRP community, and I wish to rejoin the server to prove and regain the "public"/servers trust and be a contributing member.
  22. +1 - Eli is genuinely one of the most committed team members you can have, specifically one of the few that would care and put genuine effort into the server he is apart of. The events listed as examples are practical for the server and practical for a single gamemaster to complete, all while maintaining a good mix of combat and roleplay. Simply put, Eli is more than competent for this role; on top of possessing relevant experience (with a good track record of success in the role). Good Luck.
  23. I forgot to add a comment but: I hope Dude continues to have a great recovery.
  24. -1 I'm personally not a fan of an applicant replying with someone's opinion of them, and essentially telling them they're wrong about their opinion. Event Feedback is a BIG part of developing as a GM, you've just got to say thank you to the feedback, use it constructively and move on - this is a good indicator that, this wont be the case.
  25. You wont be able to refer someone for GM as staff. You would need to be a believe it's Admin+ to do both - @Ziggy can confirm.
