We've gotten off topic, but I'll take care of this one for @Merk. Other than Garnet or myself, checking IPs, there is no absolute way to verify if an alt is the owners. Even then, VPNs exist. This would be an arbitrary rule, that no one could enforce. Banning the usage of alts, doesn't by any means, stop people from using them for Ban Evasion. As cringe as alts are, this is unfortunately denied.

Chargebacks indicates fraud, which is not this. Garnet gets slapped with fees and taxes, when someone charges back PayPal doesn't give those fees + taxes back. Simply if someone asks for a refund because they were genuinely unaware, he's always refunded, from anytime I've seen. People who complete chargebacks themselves are usually committing fraud, since they often have to lie to their bank and tell them they didn't authorize it, when they did (legal term for that is "Fraud Misrepresentation"). Unethical wouldn't be fair to say, simply because Garnet has no control. The reality is the webhost we use doesn't allow Garnet access to anything, unfortunately moving webhosts would be way more expensive, and we'd be starting from scratch on the forums and a lot of other things. There's just way too much data (from 9-10+ years of being around) to move over, just looking at the forums alone, forgetting the server databases (DarkRP, SWRP, etc) - which also are on the same host. Just as an example, I wanted to setup a subdomain to get to the support center easier (support.garnetgaming.net) - 7 messages to the host, it still doesn't work. Funny thing is, it's as easy as adding a CNAME record, which if myself or garnet could do would take less than a minute, if we had access. Garnet has posted many a times on not only how to cancel them, but posted a few warnings, included editing the store itself to signify the packages are recurring, on top of the warnings PayPal warnings as well. I'm not sure how its been labelled on DarkRP, but a few times on StarWarsRP, players have approached Garnet for a refund or help cancelling them, and he's done it with no thought :). But there are warnings on the forums as well about it, we do the best we can with trying to warn and support something with little control. On a side note, I get an email with PayPal anytime a subscription is set to auto renew and I always cancel when I get that email.

Ban Appeals only apply the the ones mentioned, such as Community Bans which do not have a forums section. It does not apply to server bans - those will always be handled by creating a topic and the respective Admin/Management Team of said server. Some examples of the messages you get try to make a ticket in the respective departments you mentioned.

Members may no longer post threads in the donation support forums, and in a few days they will be archived and any users needing support will directed to the Support Center. The main factor in support of this decision is that allowing members to log in with a display name can pose a security risk for your account, because display names are public information, giving malicious users/bad actors an avenue to attempt to gain access to your account more easily by knowing 1 of 2 login elements. Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is available for any user in the "Account Settings" section, and it is always recommended to be a best practice for the best possible security. DarkRP Staff didn't ban a clip of someone no-clipping (which could be staff abuse, like what you just did), in a clip that has no identifiable information (No SteamID (/id), No Stean PFP, Tab Menu, Voice Chat, Nothing concrete beyond /name (which anyone can do)). ANARCHY!!!

Banned - Cannot currently access the forums or a majority of its content - Badge of Shame Member Notes Added an internal notation system for any Admins+ or Forums Staff to utilize. These notes are only viewable by staff. Navigation Bar Expanded the old navigation bar to a streamlined menu, highlighting any important links, or forum sections. Chatbox It's back! Server List Updated Server List to include Discord links for ease of use, as well as *hopefully* fixing servers appearing offline Duplicate Account Detection Updated the Duplicate Account filters to better detect those pesky ban evaders/alt-ers! Visual Updates Fixed Topic Author, Moderation Actions, Report Post, etc and other low-contrast/hard to read, but import options/assets! Content Moderation Added Auto-Mod settings, content that is reported by several users, will be hid until a moderator can review it.
