-1 People have suggested things like cars, bikes and other forms of transportation in the past but they just don't seem to fit in on a server like Garnet's. One of the qualities Garnet has that many other servers don't is its simplicity (In comparison of course) It's nice to load into a server and not hear loud lightsaber noises and seeing sports cars speeding down the road sometimes. And the second you start adding vehicles it starts losing this feature. With the hobo job being one the more popular jobs as it always is, there is 6x6x6 huts scattered around the streets all the time so these forms of transportation are already more efficient and less annoying to use than moving props. I don't think the size is the issue here, it would be the 30 props moving around the map at high speeds. Finally this introduces yet another (Extremely effect) way to Mass RDM, unless of course hitting people with cars would do no damage which opens up even more issues like car blocking/stacking which I remember being an incredibly annoying way to block peoples entrance to important areas on the PoliceRP server which had all kinds of vehicles. So in all there is really no good things I see coming out of this. (Racing sounds pretty fun actually)

Yeah I get that he thinks it should be a verbal warning but this isnt really a place for opinion, the staff member handling the sit decides on the punishment. "If you weren't involved with or have evidence regarding a situation, don't respond to the thread." There's already too many uninvolved replies on this thread including mine, so opinions on the punishment from somebody not involved have no reason to be posted.

Aj I’m not sure what you mean by “the sit could have had a better talk” obviously Communist was told what rule he broke, and why it isn’t allowed. He was told that misclick isnt a valid reason to shoot somebody and the only real reasoning in this appeal is him saying that it’s annoying that its a rule. Explaining would do nothing here, its up to the staff member to decide the punishment, even if it was a mistake.

Idk then, swep could just be a glitch but I'm just guessing.

Sounds like you're losing friends. This is exactly why consensual rdm is a controversial rule, by killing two friends and two randoms you're still rdming two random people. I have no more reason to respond to this post as I'm not involved but I thought I would point out your fault in this.

You may not see it often or may not see it as bad but the recent occurrence that caused this suggestion to be made was seen as an issue by not just staff or the people who made this suggestion, there were reports, people attempting to kill the guy inside the hut, people complaining in ooc, and people even trying to warrant the hut just to get in and kill the one doing this. I think it's safe to say people most definitely had issues with this. We shouldn't force people to turn down their game volume just so they don't have to here that damned *Clang Clang* every second, and voice problem as I stated has it's issues, some people are not only too quiet, some people are insanely loud for some reason. There shouldn't be any reason that this server forces anyone to change their normal volumes. The hobo swep's voice lines have a cooldown of atleast a few seconds and their range isn't nearly as huge as a crowbar hit.

I think you guys are missing the points, "" There's a difference between using a hobos job to micspam to make people angry and a hobo or a player spamming a crowbar. Micspam can be muted client side using tab at any time and has a small radius and can be muted globally for a while if they use this micspam to interrupt active sits. This is where the crowbar issue is, someone can sit right outside of spawn in a completely closed off box (as hobos cannot have keypads but are allowed fading doors) and spam a crowbar on a metal object which causes the sound to reverberate around half of the map. This sound can't be muted client side or globally and forces any active reports in that half of the map to type, especially with the recent Garry's Mod update, though some mics in game sound better many people have been having issues with people being too quiet, and having a metal bang in your ear twice every second doesn't exactly help that problem. A good amount of the sit roofs on the map are in the massive radius of where the crowbar spamming normally takes place and when you have multiple staff online taking reports when they're at their peak, not every roof is available. Someone will still have to deal with the noise. As Proggy already said, this should just fall under this rule and doesn't really need a suggestion, but I thought I'd explain why this is an actual issue.

Not sure about the possibilities or rules behind something like this, but I recommend just reaching the minimum of 72 hours on this account which really isn't a whole lot. I believe doing this would show a great example of dedication to the server so I hope the rest here goes well for you. Again, might want to read over these a bit more.

Well unless you have access to the other account you'll have to /playtime ingame for your account that you play on now to see if you meet the minimum.

Yes you changed the 4k to 3k but that doesn't really answer my question from before if you could read it again.

I'm guessing you mean on Garry's mod and not the server as someone with this many hours would normally have some forum posts at the least, but just to clarify, this question means server time, not total Garry's mod time. I also recommend looking over this a little more closely.

Because one of the first rules that greets you when you open the server is this one, you shouldnt need a warning.

I also believe I’d be a good choice for staff due to my previous rank as an Admin which I had never gotten any strikes or warnings during and I resigned from by my own choice. I get that, shit happens, it's just from the staff's point of view he doesn't really have any way of knowing if it's true or if someone is just trying to avoid their sit. And if he just let's it go he could also have problems with the reporter for just letting it go. I shouldn't really even be replying to this thread anymore as I'm not involved, I was just trying to get more evidence so something could be done. So it's really left up to @GrandDaddyStalin 's side now.

Just a screenshot of the being banned screen, I assume it's to avoid someone appealing with someone elses steam id. As for NITRP, which would be breaking 3 rules (In this case False Warrant, Evading a sit, and diss in sit) This basically depends on if the warrant was false or not which requires you to have proof which you do say you have, (Might want to post it here); All Civil Protection requesting a warrant could be held liable for a false warrant if proof is not shown when asked. If this is true and I do apologize if it is but something like this has about as much credibility as "My brother came on my account and massed" it's still a rule broken. Though I think this would be pretty petty to count as 'diss in sit' if it is all you said, I'm assuming they factored this into the 3 rules broken which would warrant a NITRP ban. If all you said in this report was all that really happened then this should be resolved as soon as you post proof of the printer inside of the reporter's base.
