[minimum 2 paragraphs]
I am going to be honest, I have made this app for SWRP and this part right here, I was not looking forward to it at all. With that being said, I do think I could help bring in more RP to MRP, I currently try to host events, and successfully hosted 2 so far. As a GM I could stop relying on the Managers and people who have the rank already, therefore allowing me to host events on my own. This is a very short paragraph I know, but I am dividing up my two as they both have different main points.
Paragraph two, speedrun time. I think I would be a better choice than most players because I am a dedicated member of this community, ever since I have joined in November of 2018, I have only taken a few breaks from the servers, even then I am still active on the forums and try to post every day, even if it is something small. I know a lot of people have left since the time I have joined, but the few that are still around can say that they recognize me from a while ago, and that they know or have even just heard of who I am. I have no intention of leaving the server anytime soon, and I hope that the time I have put into this community shows the people here that I can handle a role like this. Have you ever been banned or punished on any server? If so, Include details: Nope How much time do you have to contribute to the role?: Other than school, I generally don't have too much going on these days, so after school and on weekends are when I will be on for the most part.
In your own words, what are the responsibilities of a Gamemaster?: To host events, keep RP going on the server.
Describe how you would contribute to RP as a part of the Gamemaster team: In short, been a GM in the past, I enjoy hosting events and doing RP, I enjoy this community and love the people here.
Explain your single most creative idea for contributing to the RP environment of the server: I enjoy "campaign-like" events. Dont understand what that is? If not, I enjoy creating a story with one event, then having the events that follow it influence what will happen next. Example: You need to rescue a hostage, if rescued, he helps supply our troops, if not, he helps supply their troops.
Please list and explain 5 unique event ideas of any scale: [Be sure to include any additional context that may be necessary to your explanation]
And time for the second thing I was not looking forward to, but hey, I will show a few of my events that I was thinking about doing. (Possible spoilers ahead).
So this one is simple, I have tried it actually.
Hostage Situation
"Always a pleasure to help out the locals."
I pretty much explained this one earlier, but I will do so again in detail. (Also I am writing these as if I am debriefing you and a team, so, just expect that.)
A few local insurgents have holed up in a nearby construction building, they are holding a local government official hostage. Your mission is to go into the building and clear out the insurgents, and rescue the hostage. Issue is, we believe that (Insert opposing side here) is trying to get to him as well, so clear out the insurgents, then deal with the (opposing side) as you see fit. You can go about this in a civil way, or a guns-blazing way. Got it? Good!
Lets follow this story as an example right?
Supplies Retrieval
"An old stash, far behind enemy lines."
After rescuing the hostage, he has told us about secret weapons caches, we need to go there, but we know they are deep in insurgent territory, we need to go there, and rescue the supplies, pure and simple, right? Yes, be sure to watch your backs though.
In the case the team succeeds, they discover the supplies include chemical weapons, bombs, more specifically. (For the sake of my sanity not wanting to write out every situation that can come from this, we will continue along this one path, though there would be more than one way to follow up this event.)
Chemical Warfare
"You said they are what kind of bombs?"
So, good job collecting those weapons, slight issue, those are chemical bombs. We cannot use those, so what do we do? Good answer! We need to destroy them, or detonate them in a place far away, I will leave that up to command, but we need to get them out of here before that. You are all being ordered to defend this explosive convoy-style, be at the ready, we are passing through insurgents and (Opposing Team) Forces. I would like to not write letters home tonight, so be careful, and watch your fire, that thing is old, we don't want any accidents.
(Continuing along the path of the bomb getting detonated on the road)
The Old Days
"Alright, lets move, lets move! Everyone in the bird!"
The bomb was detonated, nearly there. Balls deep in enemy territory with a team of (Spets/SOC Faction) lost. We need another team out there and fast, hence why we have a chopper en route with (Other SOC).
The mission is simple, get there, and take out anyone nearby, we are dropping you into the hot zone, masks on. Imagine this is World War 1, we have lots of gas in the air and a lot of contenders for getting us on "war crimes". Do the right thing, make sure no one finds out, and while you are there, grab their tags.
(Continuing along the path that they live through the encounter.)
Off The Record
"A scout team saw you? Take. Them. Out."
Nearby a certain FOB belonging to (Opposing Team) has sent out a small scout team that has spotted our men.
Your mission is to go to the FOB and wipe everyone out, we may send in some air support, but get in there, and clear the place. Also! While you are there, get as much intelligence that you can, computers, files, folders, any of it might give us an advantage, we will be in contact with you via radio, and we have UAV above, so we will let ya know if they send anything else in, got it? Good!
Okay so i just came up with this series, I enjoy doing these types of things, they can have numerous outcomes and the story can go lots of places, the story could have ended with the first one, like if the hostage was killed, the bomb could have been safely transported to the disposal location. I hope that this way of doing it doesn't or hasn't confused you.
And thats about it, hope you all have a good day.
