  1. Alright, so I'm a little confused on what happened. So all he did was kill him and then walk by and just randomly shoot his orsis near him for the verbal warning? How does that count as a "Verbal" warning? Or was he verbally warned previously before this clip and then he was caught again so bendak killed him and then just shot his orsis normally to show what it normally is for the report?
  2. Not my job to ask them mate, it's yours. Even if they did confirm it was consensual with the way the rule is currently it wouldn't matter.
  3. I mean TECHNICALLY RDM is RDM, even if you are doing it to friends it's still considered RDM as far as I know. But it's kind of unfortunate that you got banned for it if it was consensual RDM because people that are friends on here kill each other for fun all the time. But yeah, if it were up to me and if you could prove that it was consensual RDM then I'd probably unban you (Unfortunately it isn't up to me lol). No need to be so toxic dude, calm down.
  4. +1 Pretty self explanatory tbh, decent written staff application, previous staff experience on here, and is well known/active within the community.
  5. Damn man, I'm gonna miss you. We didn't talk too often but when we did you were really chill. I'll miss ya man. Good luck on whatever future endeavors you may go through in life!
  6. I mean even if you did pretend you had cheats on while you somehow knew Jackal was spectating you, that was still kind of stupid of you to "pretend" to have cheats. I don't know what you were expecting to happen when you did that, but yeah. What a shame if you are hacking, I even complimented you one time in OOC about how good you were lmao. I'll stay neutral for now I guess, but it isn't looking good for you my dude.
  7. As far as I know the forums is considered OOC (Out Of Character) so if someone were to use the info that would be considered meta gaming.
  8. When I made these I wanted to try to "balance" between the two (Time efficiency vs how much I could put into the document) and I tried my best too, and honestly I don't think it will take too long with these (although I haven't tested it out as of yet). Really I just used the current RFR guidelines as a "Template" to see what I would need to write for the example, but I wrote this more as a "script" kind of so that RFR's can use easily and efficiently. The only NEW complete section I added was the "leaders" section, which I'm kind of iffy on whether or not that should even be in there lol. As for linking a doc in the spreadsheet, that seems like a good idea to me IMO. If you guys can figure out a way to make it on the spreadsheet though so it actually looks good and you don't have to read a block of text while recruiting that would be perfect for me as well though. In this day and age I'd be surprised if the average new player even had TS installed still lmao. good idea tho, im sure there could be like a new section going over how to join the TS and the benefits that come with it.
  9. True you right. I don't really know how to get into contact with Flame though but I'll talk to him about it somehow lol. Also mb about the leader thing when I heard Ethan got removed I must have fucked it up revising it lol. I mean it isn't that inconvenient to have two documents IMO. This is the current method the US uses and it works out just fine, I feel like the benefits heavily outweigh the downsides to having a document separate for RFR guidelines. But yeah I can see the appeal on having it on the same document I guess. Thanks for the reply.
  10. Idk if I should post this here or just under the 2GA sub forum but someone just told me to put it here so I am, sorry if it's in the wrong area lol. What I am proposing is the total and complete rework of the 2GA RFR Recruit guidelines. As it stands, they are not only outdated but they are also not written very well at all in my opinion. The current guidelines are written out in a way where multiple "sections" are lumped together to create a large brick of text, which is (for me at least) annoying and hard to read. Also, I understand having the guidelines written out on the spreadsheet itself but when you do this it doesn't look good at all and also forces you to lump up text like it is currently. I suggest that the RFR guidelines are updated and switched to a google doc rather than having it on the spreadsheet, and with doing that it should also be updated for the current map as well. It should also be re-organized in a way where it shouldn't be so confusing to go over and read. Below I have made an "Example" document, which I tried my best to add and update what's currently on the RFR guidelines and also add some new sections as well. I made this when I was very tired though so I mean it probably isn't the best document, feel free to use this though or make a copy and change anything you feel is fit for the document. Tbh it took me a fuck ton of time to make it, so I hope you appreciate it lol. Here's the link: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1mWcKxvJVRYGxGa1HpoB29Enc9fSfPtRGsB6BFmw5nZ4/edit?usp=sharing Lmk what you guys think on the matter, because having an outdated RFR guideline isn't really good. Especially for newer SGT's that aren't as aware to the change to the new map, so they might get confused or some shit. kthxbye TLDR: Current RFR Guidelines need to be reworked and updated for the new map, and just in general because trying to read it the current way it is, is really fucking annoying. I made an "example" doc below. Feel free to use or make a copy and change it any way you feel fit. (srry if in wrong subforum section i didnt know if I should put it in here or 2GA subform lol) https://docs.google.com/document/d/1mWcKxvJVRYGxGa1HpoB29Enc9fSfPtRGsB6BFmw5nZ4/edit?usp=sharing
  11. Again, I wrote this back when I was active in the US, I am no longer a US main so I don't know how much has changed since I left. You're right about I should have PM'd you first before I wrote this, and I'm sorry for that. At the time when I wrote this I was so pissed off at the current state of things I jumped the gun and wrote it. As for not mentioning officer names, I didn't because I didn't really want to call out people in specifics other than you (The leader of 1MD/MARSOC). When I wrote the OP I wanted it to be more of a rant than an actual full blown suggestion, but I guess I did a pretty bad job at doing that huh. As for killing an enlisted during DB, I still don't believe that is the proper course of action. You should either honestly call an admin to deal with it if it's that severe or implement some sort of RP to the situation, not just fucking blow their heads off. Again, just my opinion. It doesn't take long to just report the dude typically, and if you're having DB that close to war there's a problem in the first place. If it's that close tell one of your officers to deal with him and A. Report them, or B. Make an RP situation out of it. As for the comms thing, to me it seemed like you are actually acting that way towards me. Typically when you give a suggestion to someone they don't go off on you like the way you did to me, how was I supposed to know it was a joke? I barely even know you so for you to assume that I would know it was a joke is kind of dumb. I asked you in PM's (which is OOC chat technically) to refrain from prolonging DB by having your "own separate DB" while I was trying to host US DB, and you started to go off on me in a public chat. To be honest I kind of want to just put this into the past, as all this post was to me was releasing some anger I had towards your factions/US in general, I never really wanted it to go THIS far, I expected some debating but not a full out argument like it turned out to be lol. This will probably be my last response to this thread. You're correct I should have PM'd you first with proof about specifics in your faction and I'm sorry for that, but I don't regret my decision to make this post in general public, as I believe it still brings out a lot of problems the US in general has.
  12. So you can't control how your officers act in debriefs or just in general? I don't really see what 11B has to do with any of this, as this forum post was made from my personal quarrels I have with the Marines/MARSOC side and others in the US in general. I don't represent 11B really in any way, nor have I to my knowledge said I have in the past. Other officers in the Army may not side with my opinion, so I really can't speak for them. I'm happy that you're trying to "mend" relations with Army I guess, but I don't see what that has to do with the OP. This is what I requested should be fixed/implemented to the US to overall increase the "atmosphere" in the side. We need to start teaching our enlisted more about the server as they play and build/improve our relations with them in general We need to stop minging in US Debrief and killing each other for fun in front of the enlisted while US DB is active We need to stop killing enlisted for talking out of PTS and instead teach them the correct ways to go into after war/pre war DB We need to able to take criticism more maturely and use the criticism we do get to improve our factions for the sake of the United States side of the server. I am speaking from my personal experiences with the Marines/MARSOC officers, and what I think needs to change from them. Army has nothing to do with the OP. Again it isn't in my place to tell you how to run your faction, but please just take a look at the suggestions above and try to implement them to the best of your ability. If you don't think anything needs to change then so be it, I'll just continue to play on RU. These, again, are just my opinions on what desperately needs to change within the US side and how marines are affecting it.
  13. If you wanna consider this resolved then fine, I kind of wanted to just let this post die to be honest because I don't plan on playing US anymore for the foreseeable future (and I'm sure you can guess why that is). Most of my points still stand, although in general from what I've seen you yourself have gotten better with how you talk to people in other factions. Can't say the same about some others though on the US side. I wish you good luck with running MARSOC/Marines.
  14. This gonna have to be a -1 from me. Haven't listed playtime/most likely you don't have enough hours Under the age requirement for staff | You can try to get permission from a manager+ (I think that's the minimum rank that can do it anyways) to apply for staff while you are under the age requirement. Your application is "decent" from what I see but it's kind of hard to read when you make your paragraphs one large block of text, I recommend actually indenting your paragraphs so it's easier to read. I'm sure if you get the required number of hours and you play more on the server and you become more known within the community you can easily get staff in the future. But for now I don't think this application will be accepted. Good luck on future applications though!
  15. Oh would you look at that, you answered your own ban appeal. That's what exactly I'm going to do and say. Now I'm not going to lie, I don't know what you were perma'd for but I imagine if you did get perma'd you must have pissed off a lot of people and done some shitty things. Even if you have "Changed" you still have to deal with your past mistakes and deal with the consequences of those actions. Again appeals aren't for apologies, and aren't treated as such, so if you don't have a actual valid reason on why you think you should be unbanned then I doubt you will be. You have to wait for the ban wipe, as you have little to no chance of getting accepted.
  16. It'd probably take a hell of a lot of time to make, but honestly I like the idea of having a whole "Section" of the map devoted to a side, it would give the US/RU a lot more room to do activities and it could look amazing if done correctly. If Parent is willing to do this then I would +1 for sure.
  17. I can agree with that, I guess it wasn't in my place to tell you how to run your faction, and I'm sorry for that. That's kind of the solution I wanted anyways, I just didn't word my argument right or something. As long as you proceed with caution with other factions then I'm fine with it.
  18. I don't care that it's a gmod server, if I think something is wrong and should be fixed I talk about it.
  19. I don't see how that makes me look ridiculous as a former general, but if it does then whatever I could care less. I'm just speaking what I think is best for the server and the course of action i think we should take to fix these issues. If you call that ridiculous just because I did it in "public" then whatever. These are PUBLIC issues, I don't see why I would need to bring these up in private. Even if I did, I doubt he would have listened because judging from this and past experiences it doesn't look like he's keen to criticism. But hey, at least people know now. If you want to dumb it down instead of listening to what I have to say, then sure. if you want to be a "big meanie" towards people then go ahead, again I can't stop you. This was a rant for me to get my feelings and opinions out, I didn't really think anything would change. Have fun leading a faction where your enlisted hate you. tru u right. I don't really care though I had to say what I had to say lol.
  20. Although it's more focused on him, there are still things related to officers in general.
  21. I'm not saying you need to be "nice" and constantly suck up to your enlisted, I'm saying that you need to stop being such a dick to everyone around you. There's a difference between RP and actual disrespect. Remember, this is a game there's no need to act like your high and mighty on a Gmod MilitaryRP server. Even if it is RP, you need to learn to be respectful and not such a dick, it makes people not want to play. Sorry, I don't know the exact amount of your officers but again most of them do act like this, I don't see how that changes. I can guarantee you that isn't why you have more numbers than Army, and I don't know why you're bringing this up in the first place as it has nothing to do with the disrespect you have with your enlisted/army's enlisted. You aren't just disrespecting your own enlisted, you do it to Army as well. Just because one doesn't cuss and swear at players doesn't mean you're treating them like children, your treating them with RESPECT. Again, there's a difference between roleplaying and just being a disrespectful person towards others. If you can't see that then so I be it I can't be the one to change your actions in game, I just brought this up because I hoped you would see where I'm coming from. You think people agree with you but from what I've seen so far people have mixed opinions of you. I'm not victimizing anyone, I'm just saying the demographic of who plays on the server. They engage with you because you are their leader, so obviously they are going to follow you even if you are disrespectful. That's not to say people leave because they don't like you, I talk to people all the time that say they leave the marines because they don't like the disrespect. Disrespecting people may be your play style, but I can tell you most people rather not want to be screamed at over mic because of a game. Yeah, you are correct. I talked with Gildarts about it after I posted this thread. When I mentioned him I was mainly talking about how he was a role model and a teacher to the newer recruits and how he doesn't blow out their fucking head because they talked out of PTS. There's nothing wrong with some banter, but when you constantly have this disrespectful tone you come off as a person no one wants to hang around with. And when you disrespect people that don't really know you (me for example), how are they supposed to know your "kidding"? Usually when someone gets insulted at they don't take it as a joke. Maybe in the future you should be careful on who you shittalk against. Just because you have numbers doesn't mean people like you or your officers. Army has a weak point when it comes to recruiting new players, and that's something that needs to be addressed but has nothing to do with this situation. Most of the people that are on marines are new players that usually leave the server/faction. Hell most of them don't even know who you are because they don't play that long. Point is there are different factors of why marines have more numbers than army, and implying that this has anything to do with that is completely stupid. People leave your faction, they don't stay it's just that you recruit more than army does. First of all, I'm not a "butter-bar". I was a higher rank than you at a time so don't say I don't know what I'm talking about. I understand that I am second lieutenant reserve but I still feel like my word has some effect when it comes to leading a faction. The fact that you can't handle my criticism shows that you're either prone to criticism or just incompetent. Secondly, as far as I know PM's are OOC, so it technically it wasn't in character of me to say that. You say that i'm pushing my "victim complex" when in reality I'm just showing proof of your disrespect/narcissism. I'm not crying, I'm addressing something that I believe is an issue. You're taking this "Military Officer man" roleplay way too seriously if you think that is what it is. If you don't want to listen to my suggestions then fine, I'm not one to force you. But just know that you aren't fun to play with when you're disrespecting people but you are fun to play with when you are not being a dick.
  22. Before I continue my rant, I just want to say I am not doing this out of "spite" but for pure concern for the faction and how it's affecting the United States during war time/debrief. Since I have made my "comeback" on the server I constantly see the narcissistic attitudes and ego's coming from the Marine/MARSOC Officers and how they handle affairs within the United States. This is very concerning to me as I fear if it isn't addressed it's going to continue to get worse and affect us even further. Keep in mind this is MY opinion and this is just what I personally see every time I get on the server, and I don't expect everyone to agree with me. Also, not every officer within the Marines/MARSOC is like this, but they take up a HUGE portion of their officer staff. Some of this stuff also applied to other factions in the US but I mainly see people in Marines/MARSOC do it, hence why this is oriented towards them. The first thing I would like to address is the blatant disrespect and immaturity of some leaders within the MARSOC/Marine forces. Day in and day out I see marine officers complain about people "minging" within the US DB even though they do it themselves. I constantly see marine officers kill people randomly in Debrief for no valid RP reason, Hell I even see people that are in staff that do it. This is a problem because when you do this you do it in front of the entire enlistment on and it gives them the idea that it's alright to do these kinds of things. They also kill enlisted when they talk out of PTS, which is a HUGE violation and something they should never do. We should be TEACHING the new privates/enlisted, not randomly killing them just because they talk out of PTS. They constantly yell and beckon towards the US enlisted telling them to "shut the fuck up" and disrespecting them in general. People need to realise that this is a GAME. We are all here to have fun and relax, we need to stop treating these poor 12-16 year olds like they are actually in the United States Armed Forces with the disrespect and all. They don't come here to get screamed at they come here to play some fucking PvP. Hell, it's not even a bad idea to have some realism in your faction if that's what you're going for, but please look at how @Ethan is running his factions. They don't constantly yell at the base factions/kill them if they talk out of PTS, they are respectful and actually TEACH their enlisted how to do well in wars and tryouts. This is probably the main reason why we are always getting our fucking asses kicked in war. When you build good relations with the enlisted, not only will you have more fun but the enlisted will have an incentive to stay in your faction/the server in general. This leads me to my next point, officers need to learn how to take criticism and deal with what people say about how they are running their factions. I'm going to give you an example between me and the general of marines Gotham. I am not doing this out of spite, I am only doing this because I feel like I need some sort of "proof" to go along with this. Basically I messaged Gotham about how he led After-War DB and some things I had wrong with how he led it, and instead of responding in a mature way he decided to make my PM public and start to backlash at me. From there we had a heated "Debate" on if I should be critiquing him or not and eventually he stopped responding to me. This is not how a leader should be taking criticism, this should honestly be embarrassing for the Marines on how their commander in chief reacted. They actually were, I had one MARSOC general PM me and ask me to get in TS and when I did he apologized for Gotham, agreeing that he was acting rudely. At the time I didn't want to make a scene out of it, but my patience is wearing thin. If you want to read the exact messages we exchanged, you can read them here and decide for yourself who was in the wrong. Another example is from earlier today, we were in after war DB when someone in Army talked out of PTS (even though technically US DB was over) and so they decided to kill them immediately, not even talk to them or tell them to not talk when PTS is active. I got fed up and "exposed"/confronted them about it and how they responded is basically saying "Calm down, stop arguing" repeatedly and proceeded to dismiss their enlisted to their separate debrief. Again, we should be TEACHING these new people/enlisted not killing them on site. We as US officers should be able to take criticism more seriously and maturely, not get upset because a "lower ranking officer" told us what to do. I mean seriously Gotham, I understand that you lead two major factions within the United States but that gets you NO RIGHT to abuse and manipulate your lower command. I was also a General, so I know the stresses of when you get called out for not leading correctly but you need to handle those situations better, same for officers in general. Really, all of these complaints could be applied to other factions as well. We as the US side need to stick together and cooperate better with each faction, not force outside opinions out because they are a lower rank/not in your faction. Again, this is just a rant but I feel like I needed to address these problems or else they are just going to continue to get out of hand. Here's what I think needs to happen ASAP: We need to start teaching our enlisted more about the server as they play and build/improve our relations with them in general We need to stop minging in US Debrief and killing each other for fun in front of the enlisted while US DB is active We need to stop killing enlisted for talking out of PTS and instead teach them the correct ways to go into after war/pre war DB We need to able to take criticism more maturely and use the criticism we do get to improve our factions for the sake of the United States side of the server. Please, everyone that is in a position to lead the enlisted need to do a better job, not just Marines/MARSOC. The only reason why I focused these factions is because I see them the most do these kinds of things. I understand people might not like what I'm saying, but I feel like it's important to address these issues. If you're going to reply PLEASE do it in a mature manner, I'd love to have a DEBATE, not a flame war. With that being said, I have concluded my rant and I thank you for reading it. - 2LT AR PrisonNightmare
  23. Lowkey excited as hell for Rangers to come back, I'm probably going to try to join it as soon as it gets set up and becomes public or whatever. Best update in a while Garnet, keep it up!
  24. Wait is this really against the rules? I've had so many people do this to me before it isn't even funny lmao. Hell even high ranking DarkRP staff members have done it to me just because I didn't agree with what they had to say or I negatively reacted to one of their posts. If this truly is against the rules then I +1. People will say "it's only online points what does it matter" which is semi true, but it still represents you as a member of this community and for people to negatively react to your posts out of spite or some stupid reason is upsetting. If it isn't against the rules to do this then I highly recommend it does become against the rules because it's mildly infuriating to deal with.
