  1. Not only have I almost never seen you join TS at all, but if I'm not mistaken you were crying in OOC and bickering with kermat and ended up getting muted.     Weapons Revert

    Description: [description of what you are suggesting, one paragraph minimum] I am suggesting that we revert back to the old weapon system, but with a few changes to it. These changes include a few things, one of which being the sniper fast fire fix. A big issue with the snipers before was the fact that they could easily be abused by fast firing, especially the mosin. But a fix to this was introduced with all the other weapon changes. Another change would be keeping the shotguns how they are right now. With the old guns, there was a good balance for what guns players would use in war. But that has completely gone out the window with current weapons. This suggestion would also mean removing movement speed debuffs on guns. Another compromise could also be to just remove the speed debuffs and continuously work on the current weapons. Reasoning: [how would this benefit our server?] It has been long enough for people to realize that the current weapons are not what they were told to be. Before all the weapon changes, the server pop was steadily increasing as a lot of older players were coming back and having fun again. But after the change, everybody I have spoken to has lots of issues with the weapon update. This has caused lots of players to leave or simply not play war anymore because it isn't fun. This is because there is no point using any weapons in war anymore except for Assault rifles or a marksman rifle. Using an SMG will get outclassed by an AEK or base class gun any time. Shotguns are useless, LMGs are useless. Even snipers are useless when pinned against a marksman rifle. The old weapons actually promoted a wide range of use, with shotguns and snipers being the two main issues. But these issues would be mitigated with the changes above. For as long as I have played, the thing people liked about the war system was the fast paced gunplay and constant action. TLDR: Revert back to old weapons with a few changes regarding snipers and shotguns due to lack of balanced weapons and the range of weapon use. Or simply remove movement speed debuff and work on current weapons more
  4. You seem like a nice guy that genuinely cares about the server and could do a good job. I have heard from Naas that you are respectful and friendly. But given that you only have 76 hours, you are barely making it past the requirement. Before you become staff I would like to see you interact with the community more and get to know more people. As long as you keep up the good work and play for a bit more, I believe you could be a good fit for the staff team.

Description: [description of what you are suggesting, one paragraph minimum] I am suggesting that the sniper movement speed be buffed in order to counteract the DMRs that can easily dominate all the snipers. Specifically the snipers on the classes that contain them. For example, the m95 on ghillie or the jng on Vega. With these classes being sniper specific, it would make more sense that they would be able to run faster with their snipers than other classes. This would also mean that the donor snipers like the orsis and mosin would keep the current speed. Another alternative could be just making every sniper have upped movement speed since the fast firing exploit was fixed. Reasoning: [how would this benefit our server?] With the recent update of all the weapons, it has become pretty evident that Marksman rifles are miles better than the snipers currently. They have much more movement speed, and can still output enough damage to one shot somebody to the head, or 2 shot them in the body. With the upped speed on sniper specific classes, it would not only give a reason to play these classes over using the donator snipers, but would also be a good counteraction to these DMRs. This way long range battles could be a lot more balanced. Additional Information: MK12 On US. Can Sprint with about same speed as with an AR when on base class. Same speed as RU Marksman SVT-40 Orsis. Can not sprint on base class. Snipers on elite classes, can sprint a bit if on speed boost, but if you are on a faction sniper class, you can not sprint.
  9. Description: [description of what you are suggesting, one paragraph minimum] This is less of a suggestion and more of a bug fix that has been recently noticed on the server. Me and others, specifically @Ting have seen that sometimes the Russian class, Mercenary can sometimes bug out in war and cause you to not take any damage. While on your screen you cant see the bullets actually killing you, for others they can see the blood coming off of you. This can be especially bad when in war. As of now, we are not sure what causes this glitch, but so far it seems to be mostly on Mercenary. But according to others, it has happened on classes such as Frogmen too. If you have any clue as to why this happens feel free to let me know. Reasoning: [how would this benefit our server?] You wouldn't be glitched in war and cause an unfair advantage.   10. Description: [description of what you are suggesting, one paragraph minimum] I am suggesting that we swap back to the MRP Hud/System that we were previously using before. Recently we swapped to the DRP System Hud because it was supposed to increase performance a bit. But all the players I have talked to have said that they have actually seen a dip in performance since this was added. This may be due to other reasons, but there are still many flaws with using the DRP System. One of these problems, and probably the biggest one is the proximity chat. The use of proximity chat in war is basically wallhacks. You can see if there are any enemies around you by simply holding down push to talk. A few other issues include the removal of some useful staff commands such as /unown. The overlapping of /party and the HUD, making party sort of useless. Another small but sort of important thing for some players is the different color chat and the removal of medal of honor in the names. And one last big thing is that binds/emotes no longer work due to the DRP emote system. This also added the voice lines of things like saying cheese in chat. This has gotten so bad that staff has had to intervene and mute players spamming cheese. Reasoning: [how would this benefit our server?] It would fix a lot of unnecessary issues that were not a thing when we were on the MRP HUD. Even though we have the KDA working now on tab list, compared to the other things that we lost because of it, it seems like it would just be a better choice to swap back. The DRP HUD is meant for DRP after all, and the MRP HUD was working fine as it was. One of these classes include T3 SSO not getting the sks. It is also happening with the US Elite : Venal according to @Pluto It seems to be happening to random classes/weapons, so as of now im not sure of all the classes that have this bug. AFSOC Controller is also not getting its weapon, the M249 It seems to be happening to random classes/weapons, so as of now im not sure of all the classes that have this bug. Reasoning: [how would this benefit our server?] Fixing the classes would give people a reason to use them, and would be giving the classes their correct weapons. Additional Information: Example on SSO, only are given the sks-d and not the other sks.
  12. The only sus clip is the one of him jumping on stage. And even then, its a 3 second clip that could literally be anything other than cheating. Yes, there is the 30 day rule on ban appeals, but if he wasnt cheating why would he still be permad. And btw, if he was smart enough to cheat for that long, he wouldnt be dumb enough to lock onto you in a DB. Not enough evidence to say he is cheating, literally a topshot v2. +1 For unban
  13. The recent updates with guns have made it an AR only war system. As it stands right now, if you arent using an AR or sometimes a sniper, you will get shit on. As much as I like the idea, the old weapon system actually promoted the use of almost every weapon.
  14. +1 Ive known DRose for long enough to know that while he may be a bit wild sometimes, he is good when it comes to staffing. He was one of the better managers that I had seen, being that he didnt cause lots of drama as some others did. I have no doubt he would be a good fit for DRP. And hopefull you plan on staying 0.0

[minimum 2 paragraphs] With the recent resignation of lots of staff, and the highest ranking staff currently being HMods, I figured that I would finally give staffing another shot. Lots of people on the server see me as a toxic kid that doesn't really care much, but I really do care about this server. And for the people that actually do know me, they know that when it comes to staffing, I fulfill my duties both correctly and professionally. I understand the rules very well because of my time and experiences I have had on the server. For how I plan to actually benefit the server, I plan on doing my normal staff duties such as sits and warns/reports both on the server and on the forums. I also plan to help with ideas or input on server/map changes to help better the server. If given the opportunity, I think I could work well with the other staff to help the server stabilize and get back on its feet again. As for activity, I am fairly active, and most of the time I'm in TeamSpeak. If I am not in TeamSpeak, either I am sleeping, or at work. However most of the time I will be on the server and be available for everybody that desires help. I'm also open to any suggestions, and tips on becoming an overall better individual in-game. Applied again afterwards, but was denied due to Lack of Community Input. How much time do you have to contribute to the role?: 3-4 Hours A Day, depending on if I have school or work. But I usually find time to hop on after work.
  20. When i was first in SSO with Ethan on taiga, SSO had the ak103 im pretty sure. (could have been the 105, i mix them up a bit) But i know a lot more people used that gun when we had it. It was actually a decent gun instead of the SA80 that we have now. And from the people i have seen in SSO, barely anybody actually uses the mac11, even though imo it is crazy when firerate broke. Unless my memory is buggy, we tried to get rid of the SA80 before this, and had decided to either replace it with the SIG or the AUG. The veresk is a decent weapon, was actually insane when first person wasnt locked in war, but we already have an SMG. The SIG is a good weapon that could work with some tweaks.
  21. Some Other Issues that would be good to talk on. (just ideas, feel free to add more) Basecamp Weapon Balancing CQC Player base RP With the new map recently coming onto the server, it comes a lot of unforeseen issues that we simply could not see during map testing. This is because it is hard to tell what will happen unless we actually put it on the main server. One of the biggest issues right now is the basecamp issue, especially with RU base camping that absolute life out of US. I'm posting this so that EVERYONE can give input. I don't want to be sitting here arguing or being the only one coming up with ideas. This is meant as a sort of idea post to see if we can find a way to fix these problems. And we are not limiting this to just basecamp or the "sniper meta" If you have any other issues that you want to bring up regarding the map, please post them instead of complaining about it. I believe that if we actually speak about this as a community we can make some good changes. Below I have posted some screenshots to sort of explain the current basecamp situation on both US and RU. Keep in mind there is no right or wrong answer to any of these issues. RU Side of the map As you can see in the screenshots below, there is a lot more buildings near the Russian side of the map. While it does make it a bit more tricky to basecamp, it is still completely possible if you try hard enough. These are only a few spots I thought if in a few minutes, and there is bound to be lots more. US Side of the map. You can clearly see it is much more open on the US side compared to the RU side. There is virtually no cover. And even if you were to add some trees or some bushes, the basecamp is probably going to be just as bad. Again, this is just a few spots out of many. One last thing before I wrap up this post. I have noticed that these walls are acting as literal funnels. Both sides are forced go to a certain spot in order to get to the objective. Players need to walk out of these walls to go anywhere in the map. It makes it really easy to basecamp because we already know where they will be coming from. The good thing about other maps in the past was that you could run pretty much any direction from base and were able to flank fairly easily. But this map doesn't really have that many flanking opportunities. But at the same time, I feel that if you simply got rid of the walls, basecamp would be just as bad if you didn't add any other building or cover to supplement the missing walls.

No matter how much we change the map it is still the same thing. -_- And its not that easy to just make the map cqc with the current war system and play style of the server. .......... *cough cough* Cs Desert *cough* Chaharikar *cough* literally any taiga map *cough* echo *cough* delta If ima be honest this is the most cqc ive seen since ive played the server. Also, over the years, the war meta had changed to snipers. Now with old third person back.... *wink wink* But fr, you really cant change how people play. Regardless of the map, snipers will be used
