  1. I stopped arguing with the vega princesses in OOC to read this? gtfo of here with this
  2. On behalf of the Naval Special Warfare Command, A.K.A. SEAL faction: 1. We do not represent this behavior, nor do we reward players who behave this way. 2. We do not tolerate clear disregard to the server rules, much less the very explicitly clear faction rules that outline these types of actions. Normac (FORMERLY KNOWN AS NSWC SR Legacy) will be relieved of his position in the faction, and punishment will be dealt accordingly as per CAPT Hoskins approval. I'd like to apologize on behalf of Normac's actions, as I've just stated previously, we do not condone this type of behavior, and will never accept players that believe they are above the rules because they belong to a SOC faction.
  3. Take it easy buddy, you were a great help to the faction and I was happy to see you climb the ranks the way that you did.
  4. Take care buddy, and dont worry about being blacklisted. I just came back to try and help out since ghost left, and I dont want to see the faction die. I made sure to talk to Hoskins and I got you put in for SR Reserves. Take it easy and good luck with whatever faction you choose next.
  5. +1 respectable and going to be a great leader. I know hes going to be an invaluable resource for the staffing team if permitted.
  6. -sigh- I feel like it is probably a little while coming now, but I have been pretty inactive on the server, partially due to full time work and full time school at the same time, but I also let myself catch feelings for my current girlfriend, and if anyone reading this has a girlfriend or at least someone they've cared about deeply, it's not easy to find time for anything but for being with them. So with all this on my plate, I have been spending less and less time trying to further both the server and my faction; which for me is unacceptable. I guess I'll break this up into two different sections, one for my SEALs, and one for the staff. STAFF: I appreciate the opportunities y'all have provided me with, and while I'm not putting "STAFF OF AN ELITE GARRYS MOD MILITARY RP SERVER" on my formal resume, I had a lot of fun getting to know everyone, and furthermore helping the server to function like a well-oiled machine, and grow as a community. Don't change, @Phantom. lol. SEALS: Alright. This is going to be a little more heart felt. For those who don't know, and as a tribute to those who do, I'll spell a few things out. When I joined SEALs, I really worked my ass off to get in. 3 tryouts and a miracle before they would give me a rank that was lower than the one that I had in the Army. But I knew that I wanted to be a part of the faction, regardless of my title. I was determined to be something bigger, and I loved the secrecy of the faction and how well they seemed to function as a team. When I was picked for the Captain position, I knew that I had huge shoes to fill, and the pursuit to reclaim the SEAL's old image that they had back in cs_desert was no easy task, but I swore to do it. Through trial and error, (semi)-strict rule, and a huge help from both old players and close friends on the server, I set my resolve, and made amends with many of the factions that were so eager to help me out. I couldn't have done any of the things that I achieved without the constant help of such a great community, and I don't regret a single thing that I've done for SEALs. SEALs, keep up your professional image. Keep being the guys that those enlisted can look up to, both in character and in question when they need help. Keep striving to better yourselves, both in the server and outside of the game. When met with what seems like the impossible, know that you can always overcome, as long as you remember: THE ONLY EASY DAY WAS YESTERDAY. To those who I feel like really helped me in my leadership, and along the way, I should give mention. @Uncle Burger For being there when I first took captain, and every step of the way. Youre a great leader, and I wish you and the rest of the Green Beret good luck. @Android For being a real fucking headass all the time, I love you man, and I hope you find some better rappers to listen to @Chris Branch For being a straight up G. I could always talk to you about anything, and I seriously dont understand how you deal with the enlisted. Keep up God's work my man. @Phantom For all of the help and guidance, with the faction and staff. You were an invaluable resource for me as a newer player, and I cant forget that. @Hoskins For coming back with a vengeance, and not taking shit from anybody. You were an ideal second-in-command, and you're going to be a fantastic leader. Don't change a thing about yourself, and always walk with confidence in your decisions. Don't let the majority opinion sway your decisions. If you know it's right, follow your own path. @Neptune For being rarted, yet always active @Trip for being a hardass all the time. Your leadership is hilarious to watch. @Ethan you were always a great friend, even though we fought for different teams. I appreciate all of the sims you agreed to, and the mutual respect between SSO and SEALs. @Deag Shoulda joined SEALs. @Shrood I almost forgot this shoutout, lol. Had to edit it back in but you were my fave army officer. You are o funny and I loved talking to you. I hope you fare well and keep it real. @Greasy Dan Your soundboard is legendary, and I hope you do well in school man. That's illegal. Again, thank you to everyone that ever reached out and lent a helping hand. I really appreciate the opportunities, and I had a blast.
  7. It IS stated in the rules as a disclaimer that other things that are common sense do not need to be listed, and that it is assumed that the player is using their fair judgement in the process of all of this.
  8. https://gyazo.com/02fd003b364d642cada1eebe173e94eb There's the evidence of the event. I already had this conversation with you in person, and I spoke with Jasmin on the issue as well. I understand that it doesn't seem like it should be a big deal to joke around about these types of things, but there a few lines that we as staff just can't let any one cross without taking action. I suggest that you think about what you type before you type it next time, and furthermore that you review the rules posted below in addition.
  9. I actually spoke with him and clarified and would like to request that the ban be replaced with a 1 day for accidental mass. I have screenshots: https://gyazo.com/6488a5d9da330f8e323ab9e1747eddcc The ban was made in a split second as soon as I saw the feed come out but on further review he apologized profusely and had several witnesses that claimed it was an accident as well.
  10. Why type the whole "Just to be difficult" part? This was a completely legitimate question until that. And no, I am simply asking for a visual change that is already implemented into the server, (so it would not be difficult at all) and would benefit the SEAL team because of it's current structure. From what I have been told by several very old players, there was once a DEVGRU class in the server, and it was used back when SEALs were thriving, however, due to very lackluster leadership between then and now from other leaders, it has been removed. In my time as leader, I want to bring the SEALs back to their former glory, and possibly even achieve higher regards than they once had in the past. I want DEVGRU (known commonly as ST6) to be what it once was, and I want the SEALs to be able to look forward to making into the team.
  11. As a SEAL team member, you are taught the ways of CQC, and the only reason we ever find it neccessary to utilize the breacher class(which is close quarter, given it has shotgun and grenades), is when we are trying to get into comms, which is extremely niche-case. We sim, live, breath, and die along side that SEAL mp5, and we are very effective at using it to our advantage up close. Therefore, it's not a commonly used class, other than when people first pass the tryouts, they like to have a different model to use than they're used to, so they use it to change things up. Now, before anyone gets confused, I should add that I am not asking for the weapons to change, as I want this change to be low-maintenance. However, it would offer more of a use for the SEALs, since, as I've already over-stated, the importance of DEVGRU trumps pretty much all of the other classes, and we would love to see the tactical class replaced because of this.
  12. While I understand where you guys are coming from in that you don't see the necessity of this change occurring, I offer this for your consideration: What real use does the tactical class offer, in light of DEVGRU? If you're willing to compare the Russian Frogmen and their relationship with the VEGA team, you would find that there is a strong resemblance in that DEVGRU is a step up from SEAL (Just like frogmen are a "next-level" for VEGA). When you become a DEVGRU member, it is meant to be the peak of accomplishment in SEALS, it means that not only is your character extremely strong, but you put the effort in to achieve what others may view as impossible. DEVGRU stands for so much in the SEAL faction that I find it both worthy of this change as well as nearly necessary to be put in, to replace the tactical class as a whole. That is, I'm not asking for anything additional, simply a way that people would know, outside of your MOS, that you had really earned something inside of a faction that is already difficult to be a part of.
  13. Sure thing! And I'm so sorry Tayler I didnt even look to see it was you xD I'll ask Phantom and Shrugger to provide a picture, I think one of them has one. I'll also include a picture of the player model as soon as I can get a hold of Phantom, as he's able to spawn in the NPC, so I should be able to screenshot it and show it to you that way. :) PS: I have signatures turned off (mostly because every time I read Shrugger's posts its another five minutes of scrolling to get to the next post. xD
  14. @Church of Zero Two The only reason that SSO and Vega dont ask for these things is because their factions haven't undergone several different leaders that have tarnished the name of the factions, and resulted in the various downfalls of many aspects of the faction.m That, along side with the fact that they have everything they need. In the past, there has been a DEVGRU class that SEALs could only have if they made it into DEVGRU, so I feel as though it would be not too difficult to re implement the class, since SEALs have taken on a more serious approach. All I am suggesting is that the DEVGRU model replaces the tactical model that is currently in the game, why would you deem that an unecessary change? If it helps my factions run more efficiently, and causes no harm or change to the overall server, then how does it deserve your -1?
  15. Ok just to clarify, Current SEALs have four classes. Assault, Medic, Tactical, and Commander. I would like the tactical class to undergo a model replacement with the former DEVGRU model, which is still on the server today. It just isnt a proper class that we can select. The reasoning behind this is because in the Navy SEALS, there is an even more elite team called SEAL Team Six. We have this team as well on the server, but no model to show for it, which is why I suggested tactical to be the one to be replaced. And referencing the latter statement you made, there WAS a DEVGRU class in the past, which is why the model is still on the server to this day. It was taken away because SEALS had too many models at the time.
