  1. Well your paragraphs are really short and don't make you stand out as much as some of the current staff members did, but it seems like there are plenty of staff here that know you well enough even though I don't know you at all. I'll go ahead and +1 you because you seem to have made a positive impact on plenty of people on the server. +1
  2. Even with the knowledge you gained from owning a server for a short time, there isn't really enough that makes you stand out for me to +1 this. Between that and the fact that most of the staff haven't heard of you before, including me, doesn't bode well for a potential applicant. Get to know some of us first and then maybe ill change to a +1. -1 for now
  3. Even after the changes this shows absolutely no attempt at impressing current staff. There is barely a paragraph here and it doesn't explain why you would be better than other applicants at all. It simply talks about how you would do the job that staff are supposed to do. Even with over 200 in game hours, I have not once seen you in game and you haven't been spoken about by staff or other players. I can only assume that you aren't on very often or you simply haven't made an impression on any other players. I recommend that you look at some of the application of players who were accepted as staff. Many of whom have 3 to 4 paragraphs speaking of their experience and reasons why they are better suited than other applicants. Still -1
  4. Haha, sounds good my man. I'll do my best
  5. I understand the kind of situation you're in, and many of my friends have been in similar situations. You've always been really cool with me, even when I was fresh to the server. You're one of the people that convinced me to be staff here and actually stick around on the server. Before then I had always just server hopped. You're greatly appreciated as a friend, and i wish you the best of luck in recovering from this. I hope to see you back soon man.
  6. I've spent a fair amount of money trying to get printers by unboxing them. I am known for having terrible luck though so that makes sense. I feel like they're fine as is, some people just ahve better luck at getting them than others. In order to really benefit from them anyways you would have to spend a fair amount of money, so it only benefits people majorly if they already had plenty of money to spare. I don't think they are an issue. -1
  7. Clearly hasn't bothered to read the application format, the darkRP rules, or even talked to any staff about joining staff before. -1
  8. I definitely don't think this would cause enough lag to be an issue, and there is totally precautions already in place as well as explained in the request itself to help prevent anybody abusing it. There definitely would have to be role rules for it to avoid issues like spam or blatant racism, but that's as simple as a staff member having the radio and being able to record what the person is playing across it.
  9. HUGE +1 from me. I have probably s[ent around 1 out of every 10 sits or so explaining that theres a lockdown going on and thats why they got arrested. This would definitely waste less time on useless sits.
  10. I have seen some people with dupes that are wrestling rings where they put a textscreen basically announcing that its for a fight club. I would love to see this integrated as an actual job. Always a ton of fun and would give some people a better thing to do than RDM. Big +1 from me
  11. Considering the nature of this case, I can see how it would be hard to come to a quick decision on this. Since it is not a fairly worrisome warn and there are multiple people saying they witnessed toxicity I am at odds as to how to go about this. It was a false report even if you didn't know at the time, and basing rules are written in the rule page. Regardless of any toxicity that may or may not have been involved, since we have no video of this, I have to base my decision off of the rule broken to receive the warn, and from what I can see it was a false report. -1
  12. See I may be wrong but the difference is that while you used stacker to make YOUR base hard to raid, that still seems to be allowed. Youre building your own base and as long as you didn't make it actually unraidable that doesn't seem to break any rules. If you did it to propblock then it would make sense that you should've gotten into trouble. These players couldn't have known what the inside looked like and therefore could've propblocked the entrance entirely. That would be extremely against the rules since it would have made the base unable to enter or exit unless the players removed the prop to let themselves in. I don't understand how you can defend this type of action regardless if they are actually new or not. It is just plain unfair for those in the base.
  13. I can agree with this. Anybody doing this in this manner knows exactly what they are doing. Their props were placed to make it easier for them to break in without getting killed. I would want a more severe punishment for these players. With this kind of knowledge, they know the rules regardless if they say the don't. This hsould be unacceptable.
  14. Even if the rules are broken, just about any player could use this excuse. There are players who very well know the rules and just hop server to server to break them. They would appear as level 1 and still are not exempt to the rules. It doesn't matter if they are new and don't understand the rules, the rules are clear and fairly obvious most of the time. Anybody who jumps into a server like this should know to not run around spamming props everywhere, kill a ton of people, etc.
  15. +1 I haven't encountered this before but I can see this being a pretty major issue. I think a spam chat rule could be included with this and it would be a good addition.
  16. +1 I agree that this should be punished immediately, but I think that they should be brought into a sit to be questioned. An instant ban would be unfair as it would technically be propspam/block and maybe failrp. That should therefore lead to a longer jail sentence or warns. I +1 being punished for this but -1 being instantly banned for it
  17. +1 I would love to see this added to the game. I enjoy the DJ class but it is too easy to spam media with this. If the job required other players to also purchase a radio to hear him, this is a wonderful fix to that.
  18. -1 I think it is important that people are able to see and react to comments on their application. If they react in a toxic manner, then that reflects poorly on their application and their character. Any toxic behavior will show that the person is not fit to be staff. It is too important for a potential staff member to understand why they did or didn't get accepted.
  19. +1 I have seen multiple new players not understand the NLR and what its bounds are. Giving specifics would be a great help to new and old players. I have seen servers that have an automated NLR where if you enter the area you get placed into a spectator like mode. This may be difficult to code however, but it shows that it is possible to have a specific definition for NLR, its bounds, and how long it lasts.
  20. Description: I would like to see at least some kind of rule against baiting players, such as baiting them into a base so that you may kill them or tricking players into giving money. I know many different things that would be considered baiting are seen as simply failRP, but I would like to see some clearer definitions of what can be considered baiting, as well as some punishments for it. As it is a very vague issue, muhc like failRP, I would just like to see that new players aren't being taken advantage of by our veteran players. Reasoning: I have seen multiple new players come and go from not only this server but many others, all because the veteran players are using the server's rules and pushing them to their limits without technically breaking them. I believe that placing clear limits on what is considered baiting, as well as placing a clear punishment for this kind of behavior would bring about a more legitimate experience for all players, new and old. Additional Information: I have seen proof of multiple players tricking low level players who don't understand the rules being tricked by players who know the rules well. I believe that this behavior gives our server a bad name and anybody caught of doing so should receive at least a verbal warning, if not an actual one.
  21. I have not seen you in game before, but that won't affect my decision. If you stay on late I would absolutely love to see you on more because I am also often up late on the server. You put more work into your paragraphs than most do and you're very specific with a lot of the things that we look for in applications. I would love to have another player up late because I took nearly 30 sits in two hours late last night and many of them hdad to end in a warn stack since there was nobody on to put bans through. +1 and i hope we'll work together in the future!
  22. I have only seen you on a few times before, but when i have seen you its been positive interactions. Your paragraphs are a bit messy and generic and you really don't explain what time you are going to put in on the server. If you were staff before and left due to inactivity thats totally fine since that's what I did as well. I would like to see you take a more active role in the server before applying so it'll be a -1 from me. I encourage you to change that and reapply sometime in the future if you don't get the role. TLDR - I don't see anything that makes you stand out to me, weve had positive experiences but nothing that really pushes me to +1 you. Take a more active role and I will consider changiong but its a -1 from me.
  23. I have not seen you on the server very much, but the few experiences I have had with you have all been very positive. Between that, your paragraphs, and your past experience, I can see you being a great addition to our team. I've never seen you get reported in my time here and that is always a big plus even with how little I see you, although that can be chalked up to us playing at different times. I think you'd be a great addition, +1
  24. I've had a few interactions with him and overall seems like a good guy. The paragraphs seemed a bit generic, even after editing due to other staff asking for it. The time available seems a bit far fetched as it basically says that you sleep for four hours and would be on for 20 hours straight. As a gamer myself with college going on, I am on for maybe 4 or so hours a day and since becoming staff have spent almost all of my play time taking sits. Since I'm normally on at night I took around 30 sits in two hours and was pretty bored by the end of those two hours. While my experiences with you have been mostly positive, I don't think that your application or gameplay gives enough for me to +1 you so it'll have to be a -1 from me. TLDR - Seems like a good person and a good addition to the team, but its a -1 since I don't see anything that really makes you stand out from other players. I don't see you putting in sits or being that active of an RPer. I'd like to see you apply again once those change though.
  25. Anytime I have been on he has been on playing and sending legit reports in consistently. I believe he would make a great addition to the team. He is extremely active and very fair when it comes to others breaking the rules of the server. It's a +1 from me for sure
