not a propblocker's ban appeal

Name: not a propblocker

SteamID: STEAM_1:0:143841419

Staff who Banned you: Bantom (in LegionLion's name)

People Involved: @LegionLion, V Zoro

Reason You were Banned: Mass RDM

How long were you banned for?: 1 Week

Proof of Ban: Unavailable (Ban website is not working for me atm)

Your side of the story:

I was basing in the area right outside of spawn with two trees and a large courtyard. The dupe I was using had a large wall all the way around the courtyard, with one no-collide and see through. My KOS sign applied to anyone touching/past the no collided prop, so naturally I killed everyone that passed. After a while, I was brought to a sit by LegionLion. He told me that what I was doing was mass RDM because my base was a fail base and that he was going to have me banned. This confused me because not only have many staff members based with me while i was using that dupe, but one actually helped me critique it while I was building it and told me to add the no collided prop so that the base would not be breaching any rules.

Picture of the base (Wall extends all the way around, no other way in besides the no collided prop):

Like I said, I've been told in the past that KOS lines outside of building interiors do not apply, as stated in the rules. Rohan himself told me this before, along with other staff. Every time I came up to tell you that the KOS line was not allowed, you killed me.

when walls connected to the building are expanded out UP TO (NOT ONTO) the sidewalk, the INTERIOR is expanded, which makes the KOS sign valid, considering the fact you own the front doors, and the property is connected to the building itself.

+1 for un-ban.

That is the interior of his base, not a building. Buildings have walls and a roof.

The walls fall within the area of the base and therefore is part of the base. I believe this is part of the building in my opinion. This is one of those things that is a technicality in the rules and since it is still on his property should be fixed to allow this.

The rule is  clearly talking about the interior of BUILDINGS that are part of the map, period. Ya'll know what Garnet means in the rules, anything beyond that is just semantics. If anything, I hope this ban appeal, regardless of the outcome, establishes a standard for this rule so that confusion over this rule that has gone on for months can be put to rest.

@The King of Rohan I know for a fact that you've told people that KOS lines outside of building interiors are not allowed, as I've had you deal with similar situations before. Could you please clarify whether or not the rule is still the same?

Uuuh, I mean, you're not supposed to have a no-collided prop and you can actually be permabanned for exploiting lmao. The no-collide tool was disabled, so uh....you kinda admitted to having a no-collided prop when it's disabled, so...

So you're saying if I spawn a dupe with a no collide prop I should be perma banned?

I did the ban last night because Legion was confident in the fact that Prop should be banned after discussing it with Fupert, Prop, and Zoro. I was the only one on last night to be able to ban and Legion was confident, and I also read the rules and it made sense. If anything, Legion should not be given a strike, even if this is accepted, since there seems to be a mass confusion about this rule between staff members.

I mean, unless if Garnet says otherwise, I would assume so. As Garnet said there shouldn't be any more no-collided props. Ask Garnet for clarification.

You... you're joking right?

"Pretty sure garnet allowed it last time i checked" -Rohan,

your own supposed white knight is going against you.

Look, I don't want this to turn into a pissing contest over who is more correct. I know for a fact that Rohan made people get rid of similar KOS lines in the past. In fact, I think Prop should be unbanned because of the staff team's inability to be on the same page of this one rule. I just want this rule to be clarified once and for all (in a public forum post) about whether or not KOS lines such as this are allowed now or not.

@The King of Rohan Please get with the staff team and come to an agreement about this, then make a post about it. Thanks.

i think u just recently got staff and were never told that, everyone else was aware already lol.

Even so, it appears there should be a verdict on this thread that all players can see so they know for a fact what is allowed and what is not.
