PUNISHMENT: Demotion/removal of rank. Serve as a role model for other players. PUNISHMENT: Demotion/removal of rank You may punish someone that breaks a rule in front of you (provided you have the evidence). You don't always need a sit to do your job as a staff member. You must never handle your own sits UNLESS deemed necessary. PUNISHMENT: If caught handling your own sits when there are ample staff available, you will receive a punishment ranging from Staff Strike to removal. NEVER harass other players. PUNISHMENT: Demotion/removal of rank. NEVER question the final verdict of a higher up, in-game. If you disagree with a higher-up’s in-game decision, take it to the forums to be viewed by an Executive or Garnet if need be. Admin+ are the only authorized staff members to cloak during war. The only exception is if an Admin+ has given you permission to do so. NEVER request a promotion. PUNISHMENT: Possible demotion/removal of rank. NEVER make your own rules or alter the server rules in any way without going through the proper channels. PUNISHMENT: Immediately set to User and sent to Garnet to review a Comm Ban. NEVER physgun doors or props, unless it is necessary to do your job as staff or Gamemaster. PUNISHMENT: Dependent on severity. Ranging from verbal warning to demotion. NEVER abuse commands. (Noclipping aimlessly, jailing for no reason, using materials/colors aimlessly) PUNISHMENT: Dependent on severity. Ranging from verbal warning to demotion. It’s required to cloak when noclipping around the map. If you are not able to cloak, then noclip under the map. You may only use administrative commands outside of a sit room if time is of the essence. (Get the name of a pre-capper, stop a masser, catch the name a peacetime car thief, etc) This rule does not apply to voice or chat mutes. PUNISHMENT: Dependent on severity. Ranging from verbal warning to removal. Do not use administrative commands on a higher-up unless necessary for a sit, or requested by the higher-up. PUNISHMENT: Verbal warning. Repeated breaking of this rule may result in a Staff Strike. Do not set your or anyone else’s job to something they're not whitelisted for or own. Exceptions include tryouts, RP, and events. Tryout setting may not include donator tier classes Setting to any donator class for an event or RP requires Admin+ approval. The Admin+ need not be on the server, as long as there is written confirmation of the approval. Do not whitelist anyone for a job they did not earn. PUNISHMENT: Ranging from a verbal warning to a demotion. Do not warn someone twice for the same reason in a single sit. Ie: RDM x2 is a single RDM warn and jail for 10 minutes. However if someone breaks a rule in the sit (racism, rdm, ltap) they may be punished for the original rule break in addition to the rule broken in the sit. PUNISHMENT: If staff incorrectly apply multiple warns, they will receive a verbal warning, and if excessive, a demotion. Do not use an auto-clicker / 3rd party software. Straight demotion and staff strike. Zero-tolerance policy. Make sure that the person, duration, and reason is correct in a command string. Incorrect players being punished will result in a verbal warning and staff strike if excessive. Two staff strikes for this offense results in an immediate demotion Incorrect duration will result in a verbal warning. Staff strike if in excess. NOTE: If new info develops after the punishment, resulting in a new duration required, the staff member will NOT be held responsible. Gamemaster Rules & Guidelines Setting Jobs Jobs may only be set for events. NEVER for idling in base or war. It is always the GM's responsibility to make sure people are not left on a class they do not have. PUNISHMENT: Verbal warning at first. Continued lapses will result in a staff strike and may result in a removal. Spawning Props The current prop limit is 70. Props may be used for events or for spicing up war. Props do unspawn after swapping off Gamemaster. It is always your responsibility to make sure all your props are removed after use. PUNISHMENT: First offense will be a verbal warning. Repeated offenses may result in a staff strike and eventual removal. Spawning NPCs The current NPC max is 50. NPC's may only be used for events. If anyone is caught farming money via NPC's, they will quickly be removed from GM or demoted to HeadMod. NPC's do NOT unspawn after you swap jobs. To ensure you don't leave any lingering NPC's, Q > Utilities > User > Cleanup > NPCs. PUNISHMENT: First offense will be a verbal warning. Repeated offenses may result in a staff strike and eventual removal. Claiming Gamemasters must claim any land they wish to sole control over for the event. (If they are just crossing a bridge or using a road, they needn't be claimed unless there will be combat.) Gamemasters may claim multiple locations unlike normal players. Sims & Combat Gamemasters do NOT always have to start sims for combat. IE: Assassination missions, open RP where a conversation gets hostile, etc. Gamemasters may balance out combat by assisting a certain team. However they should be weary about forcing a script too often. Gamemasters should advert Sims Go & Stop to give participants understand when combat is and is not happening. Conflicts with the first rule under this subsection because this is a gray area. Use your best judgement. COMBAT RULES No player may use third person in events. Players and the GM(s) should communicate as to what is and isnt allowed for weapons. IE: no explosives or snipers. Respawn/New Life orders must come from only the GM(s) or the Commanding Officers Money Bags & Generated Orbs GMs will need approval from the GM division director or an executive to spawn money bags and generated orbs. Spawning these entities without approval will result in a severe demotion or removal depending on the severity. Abusing GM Powers GMs are trusted with some of the strongest permissions on the server. Abuse of these permissions will result in a demotion or removal depending on the severity of the actions. Abuse of GM power is defined as using the bestowed permissions in a sense that does not contribute to RP. Punishment Guidelines Mic Spam PUNISHMENT: Verbal warning. If it persists, /mutevoice. If further mic spam, /mutevoice and a warn for mic spam. Disrespect in OOC DISCLAIMER: This is highly subjective. Up to staff discretion. NO THIRD PARTY REPORTS ARE ACCEPTED FOR DIS IN OOC PUNISHMENT: For playful banter that slightly crosses the line, verbal warning. For slightly aggressive behavior, /mutechat and verbal warning. For persistent or outright aggressive behavior in OOC, /mutechat and warn for Dis in OOC RDM PUNISHMENT: Warn + 5-minute jail. /forcemotd is a command that we are hoping to get fixed. When it is, staff will be expected to use the command on newer players. Harassment PUNISHMENT: Warn + 5-minute jail. 3 warns for harassment (throughout their entire playtime) results in a month ban for toxicity. Self Promotion PUNISHMENT: 2-day ban if self-promotion persists after staff intervene to fix. RDM & LTAP PUNISHMENT: 1-hour ban RDMx2 & LTAP PUNISHMENT: 2-hour ban Impersonation PUNISHMENT: 1-week ban if continuing to impersonate after being told not to by staff. Mass RDM Accidental Mass PUNISHMENT: 1-day ban A mass that is entirely accidental. ie: An officer presses the wrong raid bind and a player gets 3 kills. Non-Malicious Mass PUNISHMENT: 2-day ban. A mass that isnt accidental but a result of an obscure rule or situation. ie: A 2GA believes that 3 MARSOC are a part of a kidnap, and the 2GA kills them as a part of a counter-kidnap. Malicious Mass PUNISHMENT: 5 Days + Warn for "MassRDM" Blatant mass. ie: 11B PVT Derek Chauvin mows down the Army line in debrief. Mass RDM bans will stack. If a player already has been banned for Mass once, then that player will receive a 10-day ban. So on and so forth. Accumulating Bans (3+) (Up to Executive discretion) PUNISHMENT: Ranges from a 6-month ban to a permanent ban. Depends on severity of bans. DDOS Threats PUNISHMENT: Permanent ban. Bringing up DDOSing is not punishable. Directing it at a player or the server is. Racism / Sexism / Homophobia PUNISHMENT: 1st Offense: Verbal Warning/Optional Warning (Depending on Severity) 2nd Offense: Warning & Chat/Voice Mute 3rd Offense: Warning & Elongated Chat/Voice Mute & Jail Time 4th Offense: 3-Day Ban 5th Offense: 1-Month Ban 6th Offense: Community Ban Hacking/Cheating PUNISHMENT: Permanent ban Advertising PUNISHMENT: Permanent ban Breaking the advertisement rule requires bringing up another server or community in an effort to take players away from GG and onto the advertised server/community. FailRP PUNISHMENT: FailRP warn + removal from event/RP if that’s where the rule break occurred. FRP are actions that are not explicitly mentioned in the rules but are reasonably not within a Semi-Roleplay context. Examples: Radioing your location while kidnapped and having your comms stolen Changing classes to return to base because you saw an inbound raid. Changing classes to avoid a kidnap Not valuing your life. False Advertisement (In-game /advert) PUNISHMENT: Verbal warning and warn for False Advert is the actions persist. No intent to roleplay (NITRP) PUNISHMENT: 1 week ban When someone breaks 3 FailRP rules within a 5 minute period. NITRP bans do not always require 3 FRP infractions. For example, if staff witness recruit 11B PVT Figger Naggot just mic spam in the RR, they may ban after verbally warning the player to comply. All players are expected to be on any whitelist besides the Recruits & Citizen. MEANING, if you have whitelists for both countries, staff should not see you be on any of those 3 classes unless required for RFR/DI training, RP, or an Event.
