The Garnut Nutter 15,168 Posted August 23, 2018 The Garnut Share Posted August 23, 2018 Other than a ton of areas I've fixed that had visual errors/mistakes I had made during mapping, I had a major focus on the area around fountain where most the players on our servers seem to gather, and I actually managed to make some awesome FPS gains with newly acquired and lesser conventional techniques for optimization. Fountain I am easily obtaining 300+ FPS (Gmod caps at 300) at fountain on my main rig, and 220-240 on my laptop which is sporting a GTX 1050. I would say this area has made a 10% FPS gain at the very least! I had heavily optimized the buildings found on this block as well You can easily expect your FPS to have a 10-20% gain when this is released. Finally, the old fog was removed for the map, replaced with a slight white hue that is present everywhere. The map is currently brighter and more orange in tone. 2 Quote Link to comment
