Past experiences as a Game Master: [Optional]
I do not have any prior experiences as a game master, but I would be happy to learn from others.
Why should we choose you over other applicants? [minimum 2 paragraphs]

I believe I should be picked over other applicants for a few reasons. The first reason is cooperation. I believe that I am good with working with others and contributing to their ideas rather than taking them over, as well as providing constructive feedback to others to help them improve. Likewise, I am always open to constructive criticism to improve my own events. Due to the size of the server, I believe that this is a crucial aspect to ensure that all players in the server are included in events and are not left sitting in places and getting bored.
Another reason that I should be picked is due to my ability to adapt to new situations. I feel like I am able to quickly get the hang of new things (like GMing) and improve relatively quickly. Another point in which this is helpful is during events if something doesn’t go as planned, I can quickly adapt existing plans or create new ones to fit the situation. This would allow me to create fluid events that do not feel like the players are being “railroaded” down a specific path, and that they have options, which I feel is very important. My events might not be great at the beginning, but I feel with practice and feedback they can become better.

Have you ever been banned or punished on any server? If so, Include details No
How much time do you have to contribute to the role?: 2-6 hours on weekdays, 4-8 hours on weekends, depending on how my schedule will line up this summer.

In your own words, what  are the responsibilities of a Gamemaster?:

In my mind, Gamematers have two main responsibilities. The first is to ensure that players are engaged with the server via fun and immersive events. The second is to help facilitate roleplay when needed via the spawning of props, narrating events (that need it), helping with tryouts, and other similar tasks.

Describe how you would contribute to RP as a part of the Gamemaster team:

As a member of the Gamemaster team I can contribute to RP in a few key ways, mostly fulfilling the responsibilities I listed above. The first is via creation of environments. I have a strong understanding of the tools that are used on the server (AdvDupe, stacker, precision tool, etc) and I can use this to create what is needed for RP. Another way I can contribute to RP is by enhancing player-made RP scenarios and bringing them to life via NPCs or event characters (friendly or enemy). I feel like this would encourage normal players to create their own RP (within reason), as it would have a chance of becoming something more.

Explain your single most creative idea for contributing to the RP environment of the server:

My most creative idea for contributing to RP is to allow for players to have an impact across many events via continuous content. What I mean by this is writing down major impacts that clones have so when EC’s return they recognize clones and act differently based on what they did. For example, if a clone kills an EC’s brother, that EC would act much more hostile towards that clone. This would cause players to think more about their actions as they can have future consequences that can impact the whole server.

Please list and explain 5 unique event ideas of any scale: [Be sure to include any additional context that may be necessary to your explanation]

5 Events. All of these events are kept vague but descriptive to allow for GM’s to change aspects.
Event #1:

  • This is a relatively simple but hopefully fulfilling event that would be easy to run for GM’s. In this event, a tactical droid in a CIS shuttle has crashed near Outpost Aurek, in addition to a good amount of battle droids (w/ 2-3 EC droids). Without an overarching objective, the tactical droid falls back on its programming and decides to try and request reinforcements. The droids take over and defend comms tower, and try to send a message. This sends an alert to the Navy telling that the Comms Tower has been hijacked, and the GAR needs to take it back before the message can be sent, otherwise we’ll be attacked by much larger forces. For the mechanics of this event, it will probably take around 5-10 minutes for the message to be sent with clones getting an update every 20% of the progress. To stop the message, the clones will need to either force the tactical droid to surrender or kill it. If they force it to surrender, they can extract data that can be used as a precursor for another event.

Event #2:

  • After a buildup event such as my first or third event, the GAR has received intel of a factory that is building a bioweapon designed to take out the clones. The fleet has sent the 34th battlegroup out to investigate these claims, and destroy the factory safely if they prove to be true. When the clones arrive on planet, the attack battalions will be creating a FOB (constantly being harassed/attacked by waves of droids) while patrols try and find the factory (41st/SOB/etc). This should keep everyone occupied and ensure that their roles are being used. A tank can be deployed to fight enemy tanks if the clones desire. Once the patrols locate the factory, they must clear it of droids with suits sealed, and then EOD will plant explosives to destroy the facility. But, while the clones are in the factory, commando droids (2-3 EC’s, moderate health) will be activated and start a hunter/killer program to try and repel the clones. Once the commando droids are destroyed and the bombs are planted, clones will evac with explosions going off in the background, and head back to Anaxes.

Event #3: X marks the spot

  • This event can be used during downtime in the server or in-between other events as a means to keep players engaged. For this, 4-8 (population dependent) “keys” (props with textscreens) will be placed on the map. Navy will receive a briefing that CIS special agents have placed an info cache at Aurek and scattered the encryption key throughout the area. Clones must form squads and find these “keys” to create an overall password to unlock the data cache. GM’s can then use this data cache as a buildup for any event

Event #4: Jedi vs Force Infection
(Jedi-Focused Event)

  • For this event, Sith forces have started a ritual in order to attempt to corrupt some of the force around Anaxes, from the inner room in the crystal caves. For this, CIS forces are also attacked at the same time in order to serve as a distraction. Clones will be deployed to fight off the CIS forces while Jedi will use the force to locate the source of the Sith ritual. Once they make it into the caves, they will have to fight a Sith EC to stop the ritual. During this, the clones will fight back the CIS forces and repel the invasion. This is a relatively simple event but aims to allow Jedi and Clones to work together while not excluding any of them.

Event #5: We’re going down.

  • The venator is on a routine patrol around the sector when a surface-to-air missile catches the venator by surprise and takes out its engines. The venator classes into the planet but the 34th manages to make it out alive. They must establish an FOB while defending from CIS forcers nearby. Similar to event one, a reinforcement message should be sent out by ENG troops instead of CIS to request another venator to pick them up. During this event, GM’s can start side-quests that involve anything on the planet, including taking out the SAM missile battery that took out the venator. ENG can also repair tanks from the broken venator to pull out. Once this is done, a venator will appear to pick up the battalion.

HEY DR TURTLE!

The only reason I ever applied for mod was because you were one, and I looked up to you within my battalion (kinda sounds cringy).  But in all honesty, you are an outstanding player, and outstanding RP'er.  Your application looks good, I'd love for you to join the SWRP Gamemaster team.
