  1. -1 As an Afghan main I have had very few interactions with you, all of which have highlighted your negative attitude and poor behavior. You frequently complain in OOC about legitimate and legal playstyles, albeit frustrating, then turn around and knowingly break the rules by playing on recruit classes during war.
  2. Name: Oatlife Current Active Ranks: Green Beret Staff Sergeant Officer Experience: V DGEN (2019) / 1stSFODD COL (2022) / Many More Notable Accomplishments: My most notable accomplishment is Delta Force Colonel. Although Vega Dircetor General is arguable a more “sacred rank,” Delta Force Colonel was easily a more notable and proud accomplishment for myself. I loved my time in Vega, and I believe it was my “peak” of skill, however, I completely mishandled the faction, allowing my ego to take over my decision making abilities. I do not believe the Vega I led was up to par with the legacy Phantom, Jackal, and Gamma left behind. Nevertheless, I was a young, impressionable, 15 year old at the time, and ran into a crowd of individuals who obviously did not want the best for me in the long run. However, when I joined Delta Force in 2022, I achieved the rank of Colonel through my prior experience and effort put into the faction at the time. When I first achieved Colonel I had practically been running the faction for two weeks on my own. Once I gained the rank of Colonel I made Delta Force into what I believed was the “perfect faction.” I used my prior experience and mistakes to learn, grow, and create an amazing faction. I am very proud of the Delta Force I led, and I wholeheartedly believe it was one of the better Delta Forces in recent times. [I am aware there is some confusion on how my Colonel ship ended, if you would like details please private message me] Playtime: Roughly 4000 Hours Desired Rank: Public Offers Officer Current Rank in ISI (If Applicable): N/A What does the term Professionalism mean to you?: Professionalism to me means setting a strong precedent for all players on the server. This is means taking the role of Public Affairs Officer seriously both in game and outside of it. Showing respect to other community members no matter what the situation (obviously exceptions for serious crimes). Most importantly though, through setting this strong precedent, allowing the faction to grow and become desired, feared, and respected. How do you hope to improve ISI?: I plan to improve ISI in a wide variety of ways. To begin, activity is a very strong suit for myself, and I can improve the faction by showing ISI presence on the server. Additionally, if appointed the rank of Public Affairs Officer, I can further that presence on the server by building relationships with all factions, allowing ISI to be properly molded into the Director General’s vision. Alongside this I am incredibly experienced in all aspects of the server and the requirements of the role. Having been around for nearly 5 years, I have learned through many failures and successes how to be productive and essential to a faction, and I plan to put all the skills I have learned over the years to proper use. Are you willing to completely commit to the Faction?: Yes. What skills do you bring to the table?: I believe I bring all the essential skills, pvp, roleplay, etc. However, my largest skill that I can bring to the table is my strong leadership ability. Across the multiple Garnet servers I have ran nearly every type of faction in one capacity or another, and I am especially knowledgeable and skilled when it comes to a high tier faction, such as ISI. My leadership abilities stretch much further then just within Garry’s Mod however. Throughout my life I have always been in leadership roles, and especially now. About six months ago I was given a serious administrative job, where I constantly am required to train and assist real people. Alongside this I have taken multiple public speaking courses throughout my first year in college (as per requested by my employer) and truly believe I am the best candidate currently for this role. [I am more than happy to go indepth about my employment privately, for obvious reasons I dont feel comfortable outing it publicly]

  10. Preface: If an application is accepted that does not mean you will receive the title of XO. Once an application has been accepted you will be moved onto an interview stage with Navy. Following the proper steps the new XO will be placed into a two week "probation period" where their rank will still be volatile. Requirements: Must be Staff Sergeant or higher within the battalion. Must have no previous offenses on the current iteration of the server. Must be Fifteen years of age or older. High daily activity. You may not be planning to leave 501st anytime soon. They may not have a secondary life or gain one while being XO. Note: If accepted the new XO will lose all affiliation to their current sub-battalion if they are in one. Additionally they will not be able to tryout or join one as an XO and will be required to be on the "executive officer" class at least eighty percent of the time. As a perk the XO will not have to write any more applications to progress to higher ranks, they will simply be promoted. 14. In-game name: 501st CO 2LT Oatlife Age: 17 SteamID (https://steamid.io/ STEAM_0:0:161534046 Warns: None Timezone: PST (California) Playtime?: 800+ Hours on the previous version Do you have access to TeamSpeak and a microphone?: [YES/NO] Do you have the ability to record Garry's Mod videos?: [YES/NO] Referral(s): [What administrator recommended you to apply?] None Past experiences as a Game Master: [Optional] GM/S,Mod on the previous version of Garnet’s StarwarsRP Why should we choose you over other applicants? [minimum 2 paragraphs] I should be chosen over other applicants because of my immense experience with Roleplay in video games. One of my first experiences within the Garnet Gaming community was joining Ethan’s SSO, which I was a member of for multiple months, and roughly 600 hours of in-game time. Ethan was someone who heavily emphasized roleplay and taught me how to effectively create my own RP. Along with Ethan I have worked alongside of others such as Shrimps which has allowed me to gain an even deeper understanding of roleplay. Additionally, I have been able to prove my roleplaying ability within SWRP itself. I was able to retain a large player base within my 91st Battalion because I created roleplay scenarios and situations for my newer members to do. On top of that I taught my officers how to create roleplay for the new players, (such as scouting operations) and was able to create a self sufficient faction focused on RP. Furthermore I have been a part of the community for a very long time, and have held many Staff/GM positions. This means I have been able to experience how Staff and GM act, operate and create roleplay. I have been able to watch successful events being made and operated. This is important as it will allow me to quickly grasp the duties of GM and be able to host events quicker and more effectively with less training. Finally I have hosted various of my own events on StarwarsRP, once again affirming I will need far less training and cause less hassle then other newer applicants. Have you ever been banned or punished on any server? If so, Include details I was permanently banned on MRP, but was recently unbanned: https://garnetgaming.net/forums/index.php?/topic/17557-oatlifes-ban-appeal/ How much time do you have to contribute to the role?: 2-4 Hours on a weekday 4+ Hours on weekends In your own words, what are the responsibilities of a Gamemaster?: The responsibility of a Gamemaster is to retain a player base by keeping them engaged through roleplay and events. A gamemaster can go above their base responsibilities by teaching players of the server how to create their own rp to continue growing the server even while game masters may be busy. Additionally, a Gamemaster needs to be able to accept criticism and show potential of growth so they can better their events and roleplay in the future. Describe how you would contribute to RP as a part of the Gamemaster team: I would contribute to RP as a part of the gamemaster team by not only hosting events to keep the player base content, but teaching players how to create their own RP. Once they understand how to do so and would like to start venturing into more complicated ideas, I would assist them in making and hosting their own events and thus expanding the GM team as a whole. Explain your single most creative idea for contributing to the RP environment of the server: The clones are tasked by the emperor to perform a “mock” infiltration mission on a nearby abandoned moon. Depending on how well the clones preform will help with the Anaxes bases funding for the year, which incentives them to practice and perform well for this event. The clones will be transported to a nearby moon, where they will preform an infiltration mission on training droids. The event will go smoothly, and the clones will be in high spirits. On the Venator trip back the clones will notice one of their fellow clones are acting odd, but because everyone is in such high spirits they pay little attention. The clones have an admiral sanctioned party on the Venator, but are prepared to get back to work as soon as they return to Anaxes. The one clone who was acting odd is not present at this party. The clone who is not present has been infected by a brain worm while on the thought to be abandoned Moon. While the party is ongoing the infected clone must “infect” other clones without being caught. Once the Venator returns to Anaxes the clones continue their life as usual. Meanwhile, the infected clones continue to infect others. Once a sizeable amount of clones are infected they will begin a hostile takeover of the base. The non infected clones will try to negotiate and see if they can find their friends within the lifeless infected clones, however after realizing the harsh reality, the clones begin an all-out war. Because the infected clones have no brain activity, the clones will have to shoot the infected in vital areas such as the heart to stop them. Please list and explain 5 unique event ideas of any scale: [Be sure to include any additional context that may be necessary to your explanation] While on a regularly scheduled scouting mission, a group of 91st alongside their commander go completely missing. This causes a panic within the 91st faction that the republic navy need to defuse. The navy must decide how to precede with the situation, whether that be send more bodies, or creating “fake news” to cover up the situation. Regardless, all of the 91st besides the Commander have been killed by a small group of CIS forces. The CIS will contact the Anaxes base with the request of weapons. The navy can decide to negotiate with the CIS or have a more hostile approach. A group of villagers who live nearby the Anaxes base are beginning to be upset with all of the dangers the clones bring along with them. After constantly being ignored, a small militia made up of villagers infiltrate's the base and commits a hostile takeover by holding the Admiral hostage. The clones must either negotiate with the group or take a more hostile approach. The Anaxes base receives a transmission from a nearby planet. The clones are not able to decrypt exactly what the message is, but are able to understand that something has gone wrong. Because the nearby planet is apart of the alliance, the Navy decides to send a small group of clones to the planet to investigate what the transmission is about. However, while on the ship to the planet the clones realize they did not send a translator with them. The clones must investigate the planet, and attempt to communicate with the natives. Once they are able to understand one another the clones quickly realize that nothing is wrong and that the natives are in need of a food re-up as they had overindulged themselves. A group of spice pirates infiltrates the Anaxes base and board themselves into the main spice pantry. The clones may try to negotiate with them, but they will quickly find out that they have no intentions of talking. A small group of players will be the spice pirates and must try to escape to their ships with the spice will the rest of the clones attempt to stop them. If the pirates getaway a group of pilots will attempt to dogfight them in the air, however, each side will only have 1 life. If the pirates are able to escape they win the event, and vice versa for the clones. On a seemingly normal day on the Anaxes base, the lights suddenly cut off and the alarms begin to sound. The clones come out of their bunks and are greeted with an enormous horde of zombies. The clones must try to make it to the navy bunks so they can be tasked on how to fix the situation. During this events the players will have 1 life, if they are killed they will become zombies themselves, however quite weak. If the clones can make it to the bunks, the navy will task them to go outside, where an enormous creature is located. The clones will then have to kill the creature and destroy its eggs before they all perish.
  15. Your In-Game Name: Oatlife Age: 17 SteamID (https://steamid.io/ STEAM_0:0:155811266 Warns: N/A Timezone: PST (California) Playtime: N/A (Roughly 600-800 hours from the previous version) Do you have access to TeamSpeak and a microphone?: [YES/NO] Current Ranks: None Position you are applying for: 501st CDR Appo Referrals: None Past Experience: [Optional] RC DELTA BOSS, 19thAW CDR, 91st CDR Neyo, SWRP GM/S-Mod, MRP T-Admin/H-Mod Why should we choose you over other applicants? [minimum 2 paragraphs] I believe I should be chosen above other applicants because of my strong past in regards to StarwarsRP. Throughout Garnet’s previous server I worked hard and received many high ranking positions. These positions included 91st CDR, RC Delta Boss, 19thAW CDR, and Shock CAPT. I believe the most essential example of why I am a strong applicant is my work with the 91st Battalion. 91st was the first Battalion I joined on the server. When first joining it was in a rocky state. The first commander handed it down to his second in command very early on in the servers lifespan. This new commander simply did not have the time to invest into the battalion. This led him to appointing me to 91st 2LT, to run the faction when he could not. When I received 2LT I instantly went to work, reworking docs, tryouts, lightning squadron, and other miscellaneous tasks. Along with this I hosted multiple tryouts every day, sometimes up to ten a day. This work instantly changed the faction. Within a few weeks it became the most popular faction on the server. After about a month of running 91st the commander resigned, and appointed me to Commander. The faction continued to thrive, and stayed the largest and most active faction on the server. At the faction's peak, I had 6 officers under myself. If given the opportunity I will put forth the same effort into the 501st that I did with the 91st. Another reason I am a strong applicant is my dedication and hardwork I have completed in the past, and will complete again. Along with my work in 91st, I simultaneously held many other high ranking roles. During my time reconstructing 91st, the shock commander abandoned the server to play on another rivaling one. As a result of this, Phantom appointed me as Shock Captain. My role was to run the faction until another suitable leader could be found, which is what I did. Similarly to 91st, I remade the docs, tweaked the tryouts, and ran the faction for about a month. Once I found a suitable Commander, I appointed him. At the same time as running shock, and 91st, I was also a part of the 19thAW. I was the first person on the server to pass the tryouts, which led me to rank up very quickly as the commander needed someone to assist him with the faction. I quickly became an officer, and hosted many of the tryouts that occurred at the time. On Top of these three important roles, I was also a staff member, and held other minor roles such as Navy LT. In conclusion, I believe I am the best candidate for this role because of my strong past and abilities. I have proven many times my dedication, ability to help the server grow, and most importantly my ability to be a strong faction leader. Have you ever been banned or punished on any server? If so, include details. I am permanently banned from MilitaryRP. Complete details of the ban can be found here: How would you use the role you are applying for? I would use the role I am applying for to better the server, more specifically grow the playerbase. 501st is one of the most popular factions, which means it will attract many new players. I will be able to retain this new playerbase, and show them the ropes of StarwarsRP. Along with mentoring them, I would teach them how to effectively roleplay, create their own roleplay, and eventually how to run tryouts, edit docs, and finally, run a faction. How much time do you have to contribute to the role?: About four hours during weekdays About six hours during weekends If you have any, what hobbies or activities are you involved in outside of Garry’s Mod? Weight lifting, running, cooking, other health and fitness activities. Did you read the application rules?: Oatlife
  16. Preface: I recently (today) discovered through Jake that someone had been an issue for the staff team under my name. That person was not me, more under 2. Alternate Accounts Since this ban was so long ago, no evidence is no longer present. Therefore I had Gythem confirm the events of what occurred via Discord messages, found here: In-game name: Oatlife SteamID (https://steamid.io/ STEAM_0:0:155811266 Staff members in-game name: Gythem Staff members SteamID (/id (name): STEAM_0:0:161534046 Date & Time of incident: Around May 2020 Timezone: PST Ban Reason: Intentional Mass RDM How long were you banned for?: Permanent Proof of Ban: What happened? (include any proof): This event occurred roughly a year and a half ago. I had already stopped playing the server for almost a year at that point. I hopped on the server to mess around a bit as I would occasionally throughout the months (by “mess around” I do not mean malicious activity or harm towards the server, just playing with friends). On this day many frogmen were on the server, many of them, such as Crypt and Whiskey, were players I had known for multiple years. I jokingly told them to come group up for a photo, where I proceed to shoot a rocket and kill them all. Gythem, who was a manager at that time, banned me. To my knowledge no one reported me for the incident, regardless, I understand why he banned me. Why should your ban be removed?: I believe my ban should be lifted for various reasons: The incident causing my ban did not cause any harm to the server. In many cases a Mass RDM is disruptive to the server, interrupting a debrief, pieces of training, tryouts, etc. However, in my incident, I did not disrupt or cause damage to the server whatsoever. I took a group of people I have been acquainted with for multiple years to a secluded area of the server and shot them. To my knowledge, no one was upset by the incident or looking for some sort of justice. The incident was roughly a year and a half ago. I personally do not believe that a player should be banned permanently for an offense that was not disruptive nor malicious towards the server. I believe that I have “served my time” so to speak. I believe I can be beneficial to the server. I can not personally speak to the state of the server as it has been many months since I have actively played, however, I can promise, that given the chance to play once again I will help the server. I can train, help newer players, participate/help in events, and other actions the server may need. Similarly, I have been beneficial towards the community in the past, especially on Garnet’s more recent StarwarsRP server. On the server, I was one of the first few staff, ran a very successful base faction, and took over and handled RC fairly well. I left when the upper management stopped caring about the state of the server. Regardless, I think this experience showed how I had already changed from how I previously acted on MRP, and how I continue to grow as a person. As it has been many years since I have interacted with the server, there are a few things I would like to clarify/bring light to. Toxicity - I am fairly aware I do not have the greatest reputation throughout the server. Whether that be through the way I acted when I previously played, or through something I did not do (more in the alternate account portion). I do not look back fondly on my actions when I previously played the server. I believe I had an extremely inflated ego, was incredibly annoying, and hostile towards others when I had no reason to be. I dislike using the Cliche that people change over time and do not think that I have entirely changed. However, over the past few months, I do think that I have cooled down. I have had many life experiences during this time which has shaped me quite a lot. Regardless, I can still be annoying and mingy at times and it is something which I actively work on in my life. Alternate Account(s) - To start this off I would like to preface that I only ever played on one alt account. It came to my knowledge (the day of writing this 8/31/21) that there have been multiple accounts claiming to be me, disrupting the server. I have only ever played on the alt KAP, which I created prior to my main account being banned, and played every now and then. I decided to play on the alt account heavily when I found out that another one of my school years was going to be taken by COVID. In hindsight, I should not have, but the past can not be changed. While on this account I caused no harm to the server. I joined Rangers and worked my way up to 2LT, where I stayed for a few weeks, and left the server once again. During this time I received no warns or bans, helped with army enlisted through leading DBs (both separate and main), played war, and was on friendly terms with almost everyone. Today, I gained the knowledge that someone under my name had given problems to the staff team. This was not me. Regardless or not of the outcome of this ban appeal, I would like to make it clear that I did not make alt accounts to come and be disruptive on the server. I do not know how I could prove this, but if there are any ideas I would be happy to try them. Hypocrisy - During my time being banned I have minus oned many people’s permanent ban appeals, each time stating how I believe that it is permanent and they should wait until a ban appeal. However, after reading this comment: I decided that I may as well give it a shot. I understand that permanent bans are permanent, however, there have been exceptions, and I believe I am eligible for this category.
  17. I don't understand why this is so hard to understand. NO. The rule literally states ban appeals are not for apologies. You are free to apologize, but not in your appeal. I cant control upper management, but those appeals obviously should not have been accepted and don't give you any leverage. Favorites and bias occur in every community, deal with it. Literally not a single person has come out in favor of you. Time wont change that. You were community banned by Garnet, given a second chance (may have been more then 2 chances im not sure) and messed it up again. You had your shot at coming back and lost it. A third try wont make it better.
  18. Rule means: was the ban wrong? Was your ban wrong? No, therefor you cannot appeal it. Also Literally not supposed to do this ^
  19. Dont you praise people when they resign from the server?
