[MRP] Make new players spawn as Islamic Forces : Recruit

To put it blankly, Taliban is completely dead and it is basically on its last knees only upheld by a handful of SOC and the singular marshal. I feel to help with Taliban population, all new players should spawn in as islamic forces recruit instead of being put as civilians. This would greatly help Taliban in its numbers as well as to get recruits. I would much rather have recruits spawn into Taliban base rather than the ooc room, and before the OOC room was introduced that is how recruits used to spawn. Obviously people can still go on /civilian to go to the OOC room, but to help Taliban I feel having recruits spawn as AFG would serve to be a great help. For people unfamiliar, this is how recruits always spawned and this is certainly the reason I am in AFG right now. In Gas Station, there would be instructions on how to join US if a recruit pleases, but to start from the basics I feel this change could help Tali to get new recruits.

+1 this was originally what was set in stone. However, with the addition of a casino and other civilian-like activities they made it to where players automatically become citizens. If Garnet has plans to resume things like this and allow for more civilian RP during peacetime and other opportunities for passive RP then I would -1 this suggestion but if not +1.

I want to propose a POSSIBLE alternative to this issue.

 

Current System for Recruits:

Recruits spawn in the OOC lounge, where they are met with a long hallway and text at the end of that hallway. This text is basic instruction on how to swap to either US Army : Recruit or Taliban Army : Recruit and how to get hold of a trainer with the server.

 

 

Possible Change with System for Recruits:

Where the basic instructions are located, under them are NPCs that the basic new player can access with "E". When the new player interacts with the NPC (whichever they choose), it will ask if they are sure and if they click "confirm" they will be teleported right to the Taliban/United States recruit room.

 

Some Possible Other Features

• Above the NPCs can be text that can promote about your side of the server such as the ROE (Taliban incentive), SOC factions, weaponry, etc.
• The NPC can automatically give Support role, just incase nobody is on to train the recruit.
• A popup box can also show up that lets the new player type in their name, this is so that their name can automatically be set to 11B PVT (Name) or Tali PVT (Name), this defeating the major confusion that some recruits have at the start of training.

 

I think this idea could give a new player more choice on the experience they want to be apart of while in the server!
