aparhs3rdacc 4
In-game name: PVT Marcus Aparh Turtle Age: 18 SteamID (https://steamid.io/): Warns: 0 Timezone: EST Playtime? 1000+ Estimated Do you have access to Discord and a microphone?: Yes Do you have the ability to record Garry's Mod videos?:Yes Referral(s): Past experiences as a Game Master: GM For both SWRP/MRP previously Why should we choose you over other applicants? To get straight to the point, I have a better than normal understanding of what players want in their events. I’ve GM’d for both SWRP and MRP in the past, most of my feedback for my past events in the last iteration of MRP were positive. I won’t argue that I know MRP like the back of my hand anymore, I don’t. It’s evolved since I’ve last played, new players, new style of playing, it’s a completely different environment. However, one thing I’ve always been good at is receiving criticism, good or bad. Being able to adapt my events to what the players around me are feeling, whether it's shorter events/longer events, more or less PVP/RP, etc. Being a good gamemaster requires the ability to change, hosting events that no one enjoys is genuinely boring, for everyone involved. I personally get enjoyment out of seeing other people have fun, I get enjoyment in seeing my events play out differently, having unexpected curve balls thrown at me because a player made a rash decision. I’m not here to climb the ladder of the GM team and chase the ultimate power or whatever the hell. To be quite frank at the end of this paragraph here, I’m a college student now, I have tons of priorities that preside over Garry's Mod but I do genuinely enjoy running events, putting on 2-3 or more good events a week for the server and having a few hours of fun feels like the break I need from the rest of the stress. So with that being said, If you decide you like my events and whatever else I said, I can promise you consistently good events. I will also promise to myself, and the server, the moment I feel like I’m no longer providing good events consistently I will step down from the position, I will not be pushing out dogshit rushed events for a quota. Thank you for reading. Have you ever been banned or punished on any server? No. How much time do you have to contribute to the role?: 8ish hours a week (2 Large scale events/ 4 Mini events) In your own words, what are the responsibilities of a Gamemaster?: In the literal definition of a “gamemaster” they’re meant to coordinate and officiate the roleplaying in a multiplayer game. The responsibilities in this case stretch far beyond creating events and having participants. Gamemasters should uphold RP standards when they’re running the event or participating in other GMs events. In this new iteration of MRP, I believe it's important to run well executed large events but also taking the time to have smaller more individualized scenarios for specific units to perform their specialties while building on their Individual RP skills. GMs should have good standings with all leaders across the server along with great communication skills to be able to efficiently coordinate events with whoever is involved. Short but sweet answer, keep people engaged, make them have fun, and promote RP on all levels of interaction to boost entertainment for everyone. Describe how you would contribute to RP as a part of the Gamemaster team: Contributing to RP as part of the Gamemaster team comes in two ways. The first way I previously stated is by providing in-depth, well thought out, collaborative events. Events that raise stakes, give players something to lose, make them feel like they care and are a part of it. On the other hand, I would help by contributing to passive RP. Not every bit of RP or advancement in the server has to be a largely hosted event, GMs or players have an open world to do as they please in, those actions can then be curated into larger more important events or just left as nothing. The beautiful part of that tho is that anyone can do it and whether I am a GM or not, I will be trying to lead that, participate in it, and teach others how to do the same. Please list and explain 5 unique event ideas designed for only your side to take part in: Civilian Operation : A group of civilians over in the nearby village are requesting for the US to drop off some supplies, food, water, flashlights etc. The US operations command agreed to deliver a certain amount of food under the condition there’s no contraband or weapons found in the village. The civilians must successfully hide their contraband or else tensions could rise. Terrorist Blockade- While a local group of small town Terrorists are passing through a gas station they decide to set up a blockade and search any vehicle that passes through to rob loot of their own. While doing so they must be careful to avoid both super power forces or else they could get themselves in trouble. Possible Ending ^: They end up stopping US/RU soldiers and have to battle it out. While either militaries attempt to arrest and prosecute the terrorists. Their fate will depend on their evading and fighting skills. Cold night: While setting up an outpost to spy on nearby activity from a multitude of groups, the US experience a cold front during the winter months. Snow and harsh weather conditions force them to hunker down. Unable to receive back up or new resources they must survive for themselves until it passes and hope no one discovers their location. Off the Rails: While Civilians overseen by the US are working together to try to get the train system back up and running with a group of construction workers and engineers they have to secure the area and hope nothing throws them off course. The civilians must successfully fix the track in order to get supplies they desperately need in the village. The US must protect them so they can transport more soldiers efficiently. Will something throw them off? Sunday drive- A group including a General and 2 other COs fly into base to survey the area and see what's going on, upon arrival the Soldiers stationed on base must set up a perimeter outside the base and inside. Before the General leaves he requests to meet with the 3 Highest officers on base at the moment and survey the area and Local Village/ Mining outpost to make sure things are running smoothly. The US soldiers must take him and the COs around and provide different locations of cover and a convoy of vehicles and securely hide the general. Please list and explain 3 unique global event idea designed for the entire server to take part in: Mining scheme: While a group of US special forces are patrolling the mining outpost per usual they run into a coal mining company, while everything seems normal on the surface, the coal mining company was hired by the Russians to help power a coal power plant. This doesn’t immediately worry the US Soldiers, however, they continue to investigate. Under further investigation they discover the coal power plant is being used to power a factory producing high powered machine guns. Depending on the actions of both sides, this could be stopped before the upcoming conflict. Otherwise the US might have a serious disadvantage. Kidnapping Operation: A group of Spetsnaz soldiers attempt to kidnap a regularly patrolling group of low ranking US Soldiers. If successful, they will use their outfits to break into the US base and attempt to acquire names of COs. If successful, 3 names of random O1-O2 officers will be released to all Russian soldiers for a follow up mission. ( Leads into a part 2) Pure violence: An unheard of special operative group from Russia flies in and commits war crimes against American Citizens/Soldiers before eventually trying to flee. Once the US soldiers stationed at base fight out they are outraged by their heinous actions ( to actually be performed via RP, up to the players). Attempting to follow the group before they attempt to escape VIA helicopter. Route 1: The group successfully escapes, while trying to track them down tensions near base rise with the nearby stationed Russian soldiers. Both sides aimlessly attacking each other in retaliation. Until finally one of the COs decides to make a counter attack and track down the special group to a specific location while Nearby russian soldiers are called in for back up. ( possible offworld) Route 2: The group of special operatives is caught before being able to flee by the US and prosecuted in a large court trial filled with anger right on base. Russian soldiers nearby get word from the higher ups, interrupt the court trial and retrieve their men. Either dead or alive. ( US could torture the captured RU if wanted) ( RU soldiers could plan a rescue mission either thru force or smarts, or could plan a mission to eliminate their fellow soldier) 2 2 Quote Link to comment
Riskii 199
HUGE +1 Aparh has been a devoted player within the community and has nothing but positive impact. Before submitting this, he asked for my opinion as a player whether it is interesting/fun or not. With this, it shows that this guy is welcomed to feedback which is one of the important quality of becoming a GM! Edited September 17 by Riskii 1 Quote Link to comment

Nelson 33
+1, I had seen what he's done as a prior GM and it'd be great for the new server for him to take GM once more. Quote Link to comment
