Do you have access to a microphone?: YES
Do you have the ability to record Garry's Mod videos?: YES
Referral(s): Discreetian, Kaf, Sam, Jotaro, Splicer, Quads, Conway, and other ex-admin members (I prob missed a few, I asked a lot of people for referrals and I can't keep track of all of them I'm afraid)
Past experience as a Game Master: I was a GM for GFL for a year and a GM for other small servers occasionally.

Why should we choose you over other applicants?:

The reason why you should pick me is simple; I am a commander of specialized forces within the 34th battle group, and I think it’s important for someone in my position to be able to run my tryouts, trainings, missions, etc. without having to worry about whether or not the person that’s taking care of the entire thing is either qualified enough for the content of the plans, or can be trusted enough to do exactly what I want/need for these types of things. I’ve been on the server for a while, and while I’m not entirely interested in hosting full-on battle group off-world events, I would be lying if I said I couldn’t lend a hand to the GM team. Specialized missions for batts, certs, etc. are just as important to a CWRP server as regular off-worlds.

That’s not to say I don’t have ideas for events, quite the opposite. I’ve hit roadblocks concerning my planned missions where it gets too big in scope and the only way for it to continue the way I’ve been planning out for weeks is to turn it into a full-scale event, which means I have lots of great references to pick from when it comes to campaigns. If I were to host events of these types, I would need the help of the GM team to assist with ECs, drop pods, and general set-piece ideas when it comes to events of this scope, but it’s not impossible. I’ve seen and GMed on servers with fewer add-ons than Garnet and they’ve all gone well with enough care and effort put into them. I will bring my preferences and skill sets to the GM team to improve the server.

How much time do you have to contribute to the role?: I work 3 jobs, study for school, and am actively going for my license, yet I still have at minimum 20 hours a week to spend on this server.

In your own words, what are the responsibilities of a Gamemaster?: To make sure the people inside the server have fun, while also following the rules set in place by the admin team.

Describe how you would contribute to RP as a part of the Gamemaster team: RP is as much a GM thing as it is a player-base thing; you just need the right people interested in the right kind of RP. While I have my ideas for RP, it's just as important to explore your ideas as it is to go along with other people's RP and enhance it with your GM role (so long as it follows the rules of the server). My role will be to help people turn their ideas into reality, assisting with any RP they may want to do for their battalion, certification, etc. If there is downtime and no one wants to do RP, I can begin doing my own. Simple things such as a contaminant outbreak, power outage, hell even a republic auditor, can do wonders if done right.

Explain your single most creative idea for contributing to the RP environment of the server: Actually having RP that can build up to an event/mission. Most events nowadays start with a call, then a deployment, when there could be passive/active RP that can enhance the story that the GM wants to tell. Good events have things to work towards, and things to do both inside and outside the initial map change.

Please list and explain 5 unique event ideas of any scale:

The CIS has captured an entire system of planets and set up a command center in the heart of it all. Rumors are they're currently mining a very special type of material, only harvested by a "living planet" the locals call a Balmera. This material seems to be some kind of energy crystal, any further information on it has been hidden away in CIS fleets around the planet. Other battle groups have reported that a single munificent-class ship has been loaded with one of these crystals as well as some odd experimental weapons, and they've successfully been able to both supercharge their shields and use their offensive turbo lasers without having a single weak point to exploit. The muni has been able to singlehandedly take down a small fleet without even getting a scratch, and chances are it's still floating around the system. If this project of theirs becomes mass-produced, this war will be over in weeks.

We can't have that happen.

Our job is to liberate this system and put a stop to this project. This will not be an easy fight. Not only will we have to forge a path to get to the command center, but we'll have to worry about this ship prototype flying around. We can't let it see us. The republic cannot send any fleet ships for support, however, the CIS have been regularly sending and receiving many freighters across the planets. Naval has been able to grab the schedules that they run on and found an anomaly that we can exploit, sending a captured CIS freighter in with our troops, but not every freighter can hold vehicles, so we'll have to work with what we have to complete this campaign. If a trooper dies and respawns, they will be placed in limbo for 3 minutes until they can be released. If every trooper dies and there is no one on the field, or the mission goes on longer than the time limit that is given, it will be considered a failure. If a mission fails, the republic must pick a different planet to attack and occupy. The Republic is not allowed to research the other planets and must go in blind. If there is no way to proceed, and every planet that can be accessed can no longer be accessed due to failed operations, the entire campaign will be locked out and will have a 2-week cooldown before everything gets reset. (Mission OBJs and modifiers will be changed so as not to repeat the same event, but the planets will be the same and so will the progression.

RP between events:

Each mission will have vital information for naval/engineers to find and sift through back at Anaxes base/Venator that concerns every single planet that they can go to if the mission is a success. If the data collection RP is sufficient enough, the information can contain the difficulty of the mission, the exact count of droids and firepower they have, if the muni is around the planet, and more, however only one planet can be researched at a time. If you research a planet and naval decides that the planet is too risky to go to and want to go to another planet, they'll have to go into that mission blind, only having an objective and direction. After each mission, Naval can choose which planet to go to next, each of them having different objectives and win/fail states. The engineer RP will be simple at first, getting more complex the harder the mission is. Naval can have a meeting to discuss with each other to see where they should allocate the battle group to, the more difficult missions having far more enemies, but also far more crucial information. Chances are, if naval sends the battlegroup through the hardest planets and we consistently win, there may be top-secret information about the CIS (or the Republic, depending on many factors) that can make the final battle a lot easier.

Event 1: Thecetis

Difficulty: Harmless

Freighter class: Light (no vehicles)

Scouts have found a weak point in their defense of the system; a planet called Thecetis. This planet isn't occupied by the CIS (save exposed (but limited) relay stations and scanners), however, there are hostile wildlife that inhabits the area and will attack anything that it deems a threat to their planet, including us. Our job is to get in there and take control of any CIS relays and scanners we can while neutralizing any enemies that pose a threat to us.  Depending on how quickly the republic can do this mission, there may be a small window in which we can build our own outpost on this planet, and begin siphoning any information that we can get our hands on. There also may be some interesting creatures/materials that may be scattered around the planet, something that R&D might be interested in. This will be the only mission in which the Republic cannot fail, consisting of a clean sweep and easy RP. Every mission past this can be failed, and there will be consequences to failing, some being minor, while others being devastating.

Event 2: Cuephus

Difficulty: Easy

Freighter class: Light (no vehicles)

We will be attacking a desert planet that the CIS is currently controlling. The OBJ is to overtake an outpost they have and find another weak point within their relay network. [ALL INFORMATION PAST THIS MUST BE FOUND VIA NAVAL/ENGINEER RP] The 96th battle group attempted to take over this planet a few months ago, deploying many heavy tanks and vehicles but were intercepted by the prototype muni and were quickly taken care of. While the clones were fully wiped out, the vehicles may or may not be usable, they will just need a large amount of work to get them operable. Repair kits are necessary to get these tanks in working condition. There is an outpost on the surface with a sizable amount of droids, but so long as we're able to get in and target their communication relays before a distress call can be called, reinforcements shouldn’t come. If a distress signal is called, the difficulty goes from Easy to Hard, as many CIS vehicles will begin operating in the area, and the munificent will be called to find and destroy all of the troopers. You will have 5-30 minutes (depending on which planet the muni is stationed at) to complete the mission and extract before everyone dies and the mission is deemed a failure.

Event 3: WORST CASE SCENARIO
Difficulty: ???.
Freighter Class: ???

The muni has intercepted your freighter and has taken everyone hostage. Mission OBJ: Get out at all costs. Your weapons have been stripped away from you. Find what you can. Escape with your life. The failure rate is obscenely high, but not impossible. Good luck.

(This mission is only possible if there is a way to strip weapons from troopers. If there is no way to do that, I’ll have to sketch up another idea. This mission will take place in the providence map, and will be filled with enemy troops. Either steal an enemy transport ship or escape from a drop pod. Any trooper that dies and respawns (not revived) will be turned into a B1 droid, however their event health will be 50. The best course of action will be to raid a nearby armory and push for freedom. If the entire battle group dies, the mission will be considered a failure and will lose the planet they’re currently stationed at. If at least one person can escape, we’ll map change to the last planet they took over and have them play defense.)

Event 4: PLANETARY DEFENSE
Difficulty: Very Hard
Freighter Class: Whatever we can get our hands on

A simple defense mission against some of the toughest enemies the CIS could send at the time. The troopers will have 10 minutes to build any fortifications they can around their outpost to bolster their defenses. The fleet CO at the time will be attempting to draw the muni away from the planet by any means necessary, and once the CIS forces begin thinning out, the republic will be sending supplies and reinforcements to help secure the planet. There will be a total of 3 waves, each being 10 minutes long but getting harder each wave. There will be a 5 minute break each wave to repair and build more defenses. No matter if the mission is a success or a failure, every mission past that will go up a difficulty level, as the stealth transport we’ve been using to get in and out of the system will be compromised, and any other way to get into these planets will be a lot riskier.

Event 5: The Balmera
Difficulty: Extreme
Freighter Class: Venator

This is it. This is what we have been working towards this entire campaign. An all-out assault will begin near the mining facility. Anything and everything is allowed. Do not fail, we only have one shot at this. Destroy the mining facility, mark the location where the crystals are being held, and defend the area of escape pods while the republic fleet begins wiping out the CIS ships. [EVERYTHING PAST THIS MUST BE FOUND VIA NAVAL/ENGINEERING/MEDICAL RP] This planet is no planet; it's a large living organism that takes the shape of a planet. When damaged, it can excrete crystals that can power an entire small fleet of Venator-class starships without even trying. When healthy, it can excrete a very strong metal that, when synthesized correctly, can resist standard turbolaser shots. The CIS heard about this planet but only knew of the crystal. They began colonizing the planet, setting up many factories and drills to pierce through the crust of the beast, his existence to the CIS only being useful when he's in pain and misery. These mines are killing the Balmera, and there's not much time before this unique specimen dies. Our job shall be to destroy any and all CIS activity on the planet and attempt to save this organism. Scans indicate an ancient civilization that lives deep underground that may know how to heal the Balmera, it's imperative that the Jedi attempt to locate and contact these natives and use the force to assist with the process.

The question is asking how you as a GM would enable RP for players on the server. I would recommend rephrasing your answer because it did not really answer the question. "While I have my ideas for RP," - please share some of those ideas here.

I would also recommend actually answering every question on the application.

Instead of explaining 5 separate event ideas

Your campaign looks very well thought out which is always good to see, but the application asks for 5 event ideas total.

I’m not entirely interested in hosting full-on battle group off-world events

Maybe for your 5th event you could describe a training or an on-world instead.

Referral(s): Mostly everyone on the admin and management team.

Please list specific names for this so we can get an accurate look at your referrals.

Overall, not a bad application by any means. Just make sure you complete all parts of the application.

I'll be real, I started writing this at midnight and finished at 3 AM, focusing solely on my event ideas and how it'll be presented. I'll be fixing all of these, I simply assumed that the campaign idea as well as the RP that could happen between events would count towards it, since that's where the majority of the thought and care went into
