Who are you reporting? [Staff/Player]: Player
Your in-game name: Adil Ahmad
Your SteamID (https://steamid.io/):  https://steamid.io/lookup/76561198126654660
In-game name of reportee: spidermanfan268
SteamID of reportee (https://steamid.io/): https://steamid.io/lookup/76561198409281467
Date & Time of incident: 9:25 PM 11/26/19
Timezone: Central Time
What happened? (include any proof): I paid spidermanfan268 4,000,000 dollars to buy my friend VIP. I gave the money to him, but then he disconnected taking the money with him. I did not record but I have proof of him agreeing to sell me VIP.

Proof: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1921840668

Side-question: will I get my money back? After all, if he's permabanned, the money is permanently lost to the server's economy, so giving me back the money I lost wouldn't affect it.

While your screenshots prove (circumstantially) that he agreed to a trade of some kind, we need proof of you transferring the money to him, as well as him disconnecting.

Did you report this in-game? We never advise trading in-game money for donation perks, as they lead to instances like this.

Listen you could always use staff as a middle man in situations/trades like these... I can promise you that any staff that is online at the time would be more than happy to help make sure everything goes smoothly.

Well said Blair!

He reported this to me ingame. After 5 minutes of him fumbling around with screenshots I recommended that he brings it to forums, because even if he was scammed, I prefer a higher up determines the validity of his claims.

Staff supervising transactions that involves drp money and irl money, that's something we used to encourage

If a player on the server wishes to trade and asks for a middleman/supervision, staff are free to do as they wish, however, we still don’t recommend it.

If you want DRP money, we sell it on the store. If you want VIP, we sell it there too.

SUPERVISING the transaction was encouraged, not the transaction itself.

Some people want to buy donator stuff with the drp money and that's totally fine and possible, but what you're basically suggesting is just "idgaf go buy it with your real money". What should happen is that someone (most likely a staff) should be there to supervise the transaction since it's the only person enough competent to take the necessary proof. This way, we are avoiding situations like what's happening to Adil Ahmad right now.

I mean how you're putting it is saying Hex was being a dick, which isn't really true. He's just saying risking your in-game money for something IRL is not recommended and very probable for a scam.

DENIED

There is not enough evidence currently to convict the player of scamming.

Feel free to make another appeal that has more proof, specifically proof that you gave the player the money, and something that shows that your friend didn't get VIP.

In the future, only do perma deals with people you can for-sure trust, or call a staff to help record and mediate the transaction.
