19thAW - Pilot Suggestions

Today, I have a couple of suggestions for the Pilot Squadron on the server. I want to bring back pilots to what it was in the past, with six different colors that fly six different ships. This will include job name changes to each class, to reflect their respective colors. The six different pilots fly six different ships that serve a special purpose, which I'll get more into below. 

 

Squadron Pilot : Blue

Model: models/blue_squadron.mdl

Pistol: tfa_swch_dc15sa

Ship: Delta-7s

The Blue Squadron pilots will fly Delta-7's and are efficient in dog fighting and countering aerial attacks. Typically used to combat other dog fighters and fly in tight airspace.

 

Squadron Pilot : Gold 

Model: models/golden_squadron.mdl

Pistol: tfa_swch_dc15sa

Ship: V-Wing

The Gold Squadron pilot will fly a V-Wing, a ship used for stealth and recon. The ship has two modes, one for recon which allows the ship to move faster and make less noise. The other slows it down, but allows it to combat other ships.

 

Squadron Pilot : Green

Model: models/green_squadron.mdl

Pistol: tfa_swch_dc15sa 

Ship: ARC-170 

The Green Squadron Pilot will man an ARC-170. The ARC-170 has two main roles, which mix recon and CAS. It has air-to-ground capability, giving it a support role to the clones on the ground.

 

Squadron Pilot : Grey 

Model: models/grey_squadron.mdl

Pistol: tfa_swch_dc15sa 

Ship: Z-95 Headhunter 

The Grey Squadron Pilot will fly a Z-95 Headhunter, which is a heavy dogfighter. This ship has heavier weaponry, intended for taking out hostile ship transports, highly armored units, and heavier aircraft. 

 

Squadron Pilot : Red

Model: models/red_squadron.mdl

Pistol: tfa_swch_dc15sa 

Ship: LAAT 

The LAAT is a troop transport ship with air-to-ground combat capabilities. This ship's intended purpose on the server will  transport battalions to and from locations, provide air-to-ground fire, and be used for MEDEVAC. 

 

Squadron Pilot : Yellow

Model: models/yellow_squadron.mdl

Pistol: tfa_swch_dc15sa 

Ship: Y-Wing Bomber 

The Yellow Squadron Pilot will fly a Y-Wing Bomber craft. The ship has the capability to drop an explosive from it's bay, while also having two twin blasters on the head. It's purpose is to clear large amounts of hostiles and be the main CAS support ship. 

 

Request for updated aircraft: 

As of right now, there are two aircraft on the server that should be updated to a more current version. These two packs should be added as the Y-Wing Bomber is old and a version used by the Rebels. The Delta-7 is just fine, but the Jedi starfighter version should be added for the Jedi to use when they release.

This is an updated LAAT, which isn't as important, but would still be a smoother and more updated version. It serves more as a gunship, with more air-to-ground capability.

I agree with this but I would also recommend LFS ships instead, but I

+1 from me. LFS ships would be nice, as they work a lot better and have a lot more functionality than the current ships. For example, the LAAT can be used as a gunship (one of its roles) with multiple people firing different cannons and even the ball turrets. Of course, it does mean that the LFS stuff will be more to download, but imo I think it's worth it.

The current pilot system currently works just fine. Some of the ships that aren't included in the whitelist may be spawned in my GMs for certain events.
