Weapons Revamp - SWRP Suggestion

Hey People, Swag here

 

Description: [description of what you are suggesting, one paragraph minimum]
First of all, this weapon pack is
already on the server, we already use some of them for the ARF T2 classes, so we wouldn't need to go through the hassle of adding a few addons. Now, myself and Oatlife went onto a private server to test these weapons out, at least the ones we feel should be added.


First Weapon - DC15A (Original) This is a standard, slow firing rifle with nice damage output and a decent

sized magazine

This would be the replacement for the repshot (Republic Shotgun), I do not know why its model is a little messed up, sorry.

 

Oh one more, the recruit and unassigned gun should be nerfed to the core, as it is now, here is a

'training DC15s' it only does 6 damage

Reasoning: [how would this benefit our server?] These revamped looking models would be a breath of

fresh air and look and feel much better than our current ones, some may be modified at Garnet and Phantoms

will if they find them too unbalanced.

I hope to see how you like this suggestion, I personally hope it gets passed, but its the will of the

community, sorry if this seems rushed, it was cause my good recordings and everything were lost to time,

you could implement those changes onto the weapons that I suggested, I was just making a suggestion to make it look cleaner and have the weapons feel more powerful, and for some be given a sight that they don't seem to have (DC17, DC15A)

The Z6 was made to be a FAST firerate, High damage, medium spread heavy cannon. Not a slow firing 4 damage peashooter.  To be honest I think the current z6 should have better accuracy because as of now too many fights are done at longer ranges and this makes the z6 terrible. Not asking for a laser but just a slightly more accurate gun.

Not every gun is supposed to be a swiss army knife, but anyways, this doc is from the 2nd iteration of SWRP and I thought some of you would like to see the numbers we used for reference.

Im not saying the Z6 should be good at everything. Just right now the DC-15S or A just throws the z6 into a hole. If the Z6 was better at medium range then we could see a bigger rise in heavy classes being used.

People, if you wanna talk about this, take it to another thread, I was trying to make a suggestion to make our guns feel better in the hands of the player, I do not care about their stats at the moment, I want them to feel better than the current ones

Phantom did ask about some of these in a TS channel with Garnet. I'm all for this and I +1 this, but I don't think Garnet wants to replace any weapons from the current pack with weapons in this pack. His reasoning is because it would kill some player's frames (he's not wrong here, I'm sure it would because the models are high poly). I'd be willing to sacrifice frames for some nice looking weapons, and weapons that just feel better imo, but this is up to Garnet and what he wants to do. So idk maybe if we get overwhelming support it might happen, but it might not.

I was going to make something like this but not to this degree. When I received the gold skin and black tiger I saw one major flaw. The big block sitting on top of the gun that blocks you from being able to properly aim at anything, if you dont mind adding this, please do.

Well I meant to show it (my clips got corrupted or something and I forgot to scope in when I did it the second time), and I will add a video later doing so, the DC15A in this pack has that block but with a line going down the center, which is the crosshairs, it shoots right above it

Especially regarding the Z-6.  First the current Z-6 feels clunky and takes almost a whole second to spool up after initially firing. Additionally, the Z-6 demonstrated is much more accurate for medium range; however not a laser (which is good).  This should increase the usefulness of the heavy class which is, in my opinion, much less useful than it can be.  The heavy class is designed to hold suppressive fire on an area so friendlies can advance; but with the current weapon’s accuracy, this is almost impossible.
