  7. Seeing the amount of negativity this post is getting, im gonna go ahead and toss my opinion in here. Currently newer players to the server have no chance against the orsis. Especially when, a 2GA for example has what is considered to be one of the worst sniper's in the server. Nerfing the Orsis/Mosin's damage to be more in line with the other snipers on the server can balance out gameplay pretty well for both new and experienced players. And if the orsis is a donate gun, and that's your argument... That you donated for it. Why doesn't the m14 donor 1 shot? Why doesn't the Venal SR-338 1 shot? I mean, you paid for it right? Because having weapons like that is fair to nobody. I know that Garnet himself doesn't want his servers to be pay to win, pulling the orsis off of the top means better balance all around, less focus around snipers and more focus actually playing the obj during war. "I paid for this so it justifies how broken it is" is the most self defeating argument I can think of in this context. You're literally saying "I have to pay money to be good at this game." There's no point to try getting into a sniper SOC faction since the dono mosin/orsis is readily available to all, The snipers for SOC factions are heavily underused because the orsis is literally the powerhouse of the snipers. +1 to nerf the damage of the donator snipers down. Quit using the argument that you paid money for it, so it should be the best. That is you saying "Fuck new players, fuck people who can't afford it, I paid money so I'm hot shit." Donation weapons are subject to change just as the rest of them, if you buy into them thinking that they will always be the best then you are sadly mistaken. Don't act entitled to the best because you put money into it.

  9. Description: Hey, me again. It's another one of my many threads about adding an attachment or two to a gun that needs it, but this time, it's more so about increasing the potential and variety of the suggestions I can make and more specifically, the attachments that I add as part of my ongoing passion project to delve deeper into the manipulation of CW weapons and by extension; the improvement of the server. Today I'd like to talk about a certain addon that's been on my wish list for quite a while: The (Unsupported) HK416. What's important to note about this addon in particular is that it's not just another SWEP that can be tagged onto a class or donor page, but a metric boatload of attachments that can be put all over the goddamn place in order to create entirely new variants of weapons from the mash of things we already have on the server. CMAG's, rail covers, actual backup sights, and two very important sights: The EOtech 3x, and the Leupold MK4. Reasoning: For one, I'd like to implement a lot of the attachments unique to the addon on a very broad scale. Certain White Snow SWEPs (JNG-90, PPSH, etc.) already utilize some of these attachments. The aforementioned important sights, will allow some very neat things to happen that I'd have a hard time replicating without the actual addon. The Leupold has a rangefinder built into the scope itself, which would add a functional distance element for complex callouts, allowing both the bearing system and a rangefinder function to work in conjunction for good callouts. The EOtech 3x is a magnifier version of the backup sight, with the additional feature of it stacking with a normal optic, like a reflex sight. This would basically allow for typical rifles to rapidly change zoom during combat to compensate for variable distance, and give more use to the weapons at extended ranges. And here's a brief image of the attachments: TL;DR: This addon will add a lot of attachments that I would very much like to get goofy with and experiment, as well as add to weapons currently on the server.

  10. Description: First off, thank you @Ting for the inspiration to experiment with this. Lately, I've been toying around with backup sights and making ranged sights more effective in close quarters with the press of a button. I was doing some refinement on the Mosin Short Dot I've been working on when I stumbled across the function used to make PU-to-Iron Sight switch possible. I immediately applied it to the AEK's ACOG, given there is a gap beneath the rail, adjusted the sights, and it worked like a charm. To clarify, when you are looking down the ACOG sight of the AEK, double tapping E will switch to the gun's iron sights immediately, without removing the ACOG sight. You press E twice to return to the original magnification. This is the first and only gun I've applied this to so far, but I'm gonna go through the weapons and see if there are any other candidates with rail gaps in the Khris packs. Additional Information: The iron sight with the rail above it has the draw back of reduced visibility, however the advantage is being able to quickly, and very smoothly, switch between magnifications.   11. Description: The SV-98 has some pretty apparent scope alignment issues. I'll show exactly how bad it is below, but it's been a pretty common complaint from community members in my quest to tackle common problems that come from CW. This is another case of just playing around with the positioning numbers for each scope and getting them properly aligned with the cross hair and reticle. Reasoning: Something that I think should've been addressed when the weapon was originally added from a lesser known source of content. One more small thing to check off the list. For most weapons, small deviations like this usually aren't a big deal, but when it comes to pixel perfect marksmanship at the edge of a render distance, you want to hit what you're shooting at. Additional Information: The white reticle is where the cross hair should be.   12. Description: A complete Removal of quick wanting with key binds, or changing the rules to be able to kill police officers if they are trying to arrest you even without a want on you. I'm not here to complain about me being warned for RDM. I was warned for it because I killed the police while they were trying to arrest me (I wasn't wanted). The whole issue is that it takes less than a second to hit a key to want someone, and a split second later they can just hit you with the baton. I played police for a few hours every now and then and you are put at an insane advantage over others with keybinding wants. Reasoning: This will result in a more fair playing ground for everyone. You shouldn't have to wait to be wanted to shoot the police officer when It is obvious they are chasing after you with their red batons out and swinging them. It just seems idiotic to me to have to wait especially if you can get wanted and arrested within seconds.   14. the reason (most likely) is because Draggy (HR) does not think you are fit for the staff team. This does not mean that you are blacklisted, but if you apply he has every right to deny you because he is in charge of it. what you are saying is honestly like saying the boss needs hire everyone if there are people behind them advocating for them. If this guy is seen as immature and not fit, then no matter who says what, he wont be accepted. again, just because you meet all requirements doesn't mean you should be accepted. Most of the people who apply for staff have all the requirements. Its their behaviour that matters. Because of this, I trust draggy enough to respect his decision. -1

  19. Not just GRU, just kind of a general community stipulation older than time. When it comes to considering someone for staff, usually, the opinions of people related to the applicant are generally ignored. People have their ups and downs, and for a player with 1500 hours, it's more likely than not that the player will have a blemish on their track record of some degree. That being said, there is one issue that's been glaring me in the face since I read the app a few hours ago. Are you sure this is a claim you want to make? For most of MRP's history, there's actually been a lasting complaint about the sit quota system, and the lack of sits associated with it. Even in recent history, I've seen staff hold off on banning an active MRDM'er until someone reported it, just for the sit count. What the staff team could really use right now is some critical thinkers, and decision makers. If you're applying to be a sit-taker, we already have plenty of those. You can't really be better at making a decision in a black and white scenario than anybody else, because the rules are pretty clearly stated in most cases. The problem arises with the bold statement that you have better decision making skills than most other players which, according to certain detractors in this thread, isn't necessarily the best. The last thing we need right now is another staff member promoting a poor and unprofessional image, or only enforcing the rules when it works in their own favor. -1

  22. This is a fix purely for the DONATOR variations of these weapons. Description: Removal of the Orsis into the SR-338, and nerf of the Mosin to be better suited for practical use on the server to fix a number of issues. Including 100 base damage per shot weapons, that you can buy and are completely unrestricted. Again, this suggestion is not aimed at removing all snipers; SOC should be able to keep them and utilize them. ORSIS: The Orsis is a powerhouse of pay-to-win, which turns any class into a sniper class; difficult to combat and counter snipe, taking draw away from factions that have snipers such as 75R and Vega, whose snipers can't compete with 80% of the server with the Orsis. The replacement is simple, with replacing the Orsis to the SR-338 similar to the SR-25 that the Orsis was originally back in 2016. The SR-338's base statistics are balanced and require no tweaking, or very minimal (such as reload speed and other minor stats). Current Orsis (LEFT) - Replacement SR-338 (RIGHT) MOSIN: The Mosin is a different issue to the Orsis, in the sense upon tweaking some damage of the Mosin, it becomes effectively balanced. The suggestion here is to change the damage of the Mosin to 65-70 range base damage. Allowing for a similar damage to the new SR-338 due to the price points. Again, difficult to combat and counter snipe 100 damage base, taking draw away from factions that have snipers such as 75R and Vega. The full list of Mosin changes are: Damage from 100 to 70, Decreased Range from 350 to 250, Change ACOG Scope to Short Dot/Aimpoint, Keeping the PU and Ironsights. Current Mosin (LEFT) - Default CW Mosin (RIght) [For Comparison] Reasoning: I. The Orsis and Mosin depreciates the value of SOC Recon Classes, their strength and accessibility has negative impacts on Sniper focused classes. II. Explain that so many Orsis/Mosin users creates a supported environment for Sniper-Heavy combat. Although it doesn’t 100% dominate, it does play a HUGE role in wars, a lot more than a single weapon should. Removing the Orsis/Nerfing the Mosin would allow for less-sniper heavy combat, and more CQC, while at the same time still keeping some CORE sniping. III. Going off of how often its used, explain class weapons no longer are apparent in wars, the L115 is never used by Rangers. The SV98 is also barely used. Top Tier SOC’s never use their HARD weapons to get. Some would argue it is harder to pass Ranger tryouts, then earn yourself the money for an Orsis. IV. Transition off of the idea that class weapons that take TIME to acquire should have more purpose and use. V. Class benefits should be utilized more than they currently are. The advantage to an SMG class should be the CQC capabilities that are specific to that class. A stacked sniper/DMR should be an added ranged capability that they CAN use, not RELY on. A medic’s advantage should be the medkit. Having a long-ranged weapon is something that can be donated for increased use with a medkit. Credit to @Soappppp @shrimpfor help on this suggestion. EDIT: Since I assumed it was obvious the donation portal listing of Orsis would just be changed to the SR-338, it's simple rename, and change of 1 line. No-one has to even fill out donation supports.

  23. Absolutely huge +1. There is some emphasis to point out that the Orsis takes away use from SOC Specific sniper classes. These class weapons that take a LOT of time and skill to acquire, such as Ranger L115, or Vega SV98 need to have more draw and value. What's the point of having 3 player limited SOC long-ranged classes if the snipers can't compete with the Orsis? The Orsis being as good as it is, acts as basically a permanent sniper class no matter what you're playing. Instead of people playing on US Ranger : Ghost for the L115, we basically just use the class as a glorified player-model. I would love for the L115 to have a use in war, and for it to have a presence. Same goes for the SV98. But due to the fact the Donor Weapons ( AEK/Orsis ) are better then everything else, the L115 and SV98 have no purpose. Again, I just want to put some emphasis on adding more value to US SOC Sniper classes. Conway pretty much summed up my thoughts on the Orsis. EDIT: I would also like to point out, before MARSOC was wiped, they all agreed that although the M82 on MARSOC Sniper is a good weapon, it doesn't compete with the Orsis in anyway. They said they'd love for the M82 to have more value, and for that Sniper class to be full.

Connection Filter In measure to prevent hackers, a new filter plugin has been added, thank you @huskaii for the idea Users who meet the following criteria will be unable to connect to the server: family-shared accounts - much like in Garry's Mod Recent Steam Game/VAC bans (within the last 30 days) Level 0 accounts Users with no Steam profiles Chat Cooldown A 5 second cooldown has been added between messages as to prevent chat spam when no moderators are online Skinbox This feature has been completely implemented and it is now available to all users above the Elite tier (this includes moderators) thank you for your work! Simply utilize the command /skinbox and pick a skin from the selection. There is no cooldown or cost to this. Automatic Notifier Chat will now notify users when an event is coming up IE: Garnet has deployed a supply drop at Coordinate G5 IE2: APC Bradley Inbound! Colored Names The ability for VIP+ users (This includes moderators) to set their name's color in the chatbox

You were in a discord channel CONSPIRING against him. 5. You quote Discord with is a 3rd party application and you can't even USE it as valid evidence, it's like snapchat DMs 6. Your permission is from someone ONE rank higher who STILL isn't MANAGEMENT. So what? It's staff chat. Not OOC, even if he did say it in OOC, it's not a Dox, you banned him by him saying "Change it so you don't get Doxxed, don't know if you know that". No your behavior as a T.Mod is disappointing, you can't ban someone higher than your rank. You had no management approval. You should be removed from staff for this shit.
