Description: [ Printer collection buffer > Reduce to 0.5 seconds ] Reasoning: [Faster collects!] Additional Information: [ Video below ] So as you may know, there is a buffer time in between collecting printers. A time frame where you cannot collect from any printers. The server has tried many different amounts of time for this. It used to be a lot worse than it is right now. However, when it comes to having a lot of printers it just takes a long time. Now 2 minutes isn't really a long time, but when you're tabbing out of a game to deal with printers it can get tedious. I've mentioned this idea in the OOC of the server and it seemed that players wanted it. In the video you can see how long it takes to buy coolers and collect from the printers. It would be much nicer to quickly collect and move on to more RP / anything else a player may want to do. The timer is at a better spot than it used to be, but I think it could be better.

+1 I think .5 second buffer is a perfect middleground. Even if it doesn't get that low, I'll always be behind the idea of reducing it, sheerly due to quality-of-life improvement/convenience.

In regards to my previous names: aimware ak47 blacksector ak47 These names were used on my steam account for years. I do not condone cheating nor cheat myself. My intention was never to advertise hacks. Besides, the aforementioned cheat companies aren't even for gmod or source games. Why would I be advertising cheats on a totally unrelated game? anyways, the names were a sarcastic reference to my aim. I do however understand the magnitude of it especially in a staff application. Staff application isn't anything extraordinary, and I haven't really met this individual personally. One thing to note is that giving away free items and generally being nice doesn't really add a whole lot to your character and isn't very influential. You should let others speak about you and give their opinions. If I had to vote then I would go with a -1. You should spend more time getting to know the community.

The reason that the collection time was increased (used to be no collection time) is because players were complaining that their chat was getting spammed whenever their printers were stolen. However, I would love to see this back the the way it was simply because of convenience. +1

I notice that when events are running that new players tend to stick around. But some days events are far and few between. As a GM I would provide events for the US and Tali. When good events are happening you see less people afk and more people enjoying the server. I'm usually free most days and I would be able to provide lots of events for the server. Once they discover the right location they will engage a GIGN Squad. After the Squad is the elminited find intel showing a GIGN operator has planted a spy within Taliban and has orders to assassinate the Marshal. The GIGN Spy will be selected Taliban Enlisted. If Omar is killed his son Basheer Ali will blame Badri for his fathers death. And will try to seek revenge by Jiading Taliban FOB. Their ultimate goal is to take control of the vast amount of oil in the area. But first they must secure the area before they can start drilling. They must wipe out the current threats in the area. Taliban and US. They plan to take control of the silo and fire 6 missiles. One on each FOB, Washington DC, New York City, Kabul and Kandahar. The United States and Taliban will team up to take out this threat. Both sides don't want to lose their control over the area and Lose millions of people. Both Forces will meet at Embassy and begin a large assault onto the silo. The Joint Force will have to fight off 2 waves. The group already established at Silo and a joint force of Gru and Vega Reinforcements. Once the Russian threat is eliminated the Alliance will start to show its cracks. Will The two sides honor their agreement or will one side betray the others only stopping the missiles targeting them. If the two sides honor their agreement and shut down the missiles it would cause enough International pressure that Russia would not attempt another invasion into Afghanistan effectively ending the war before it truly started. If the Taliban decide to launch the missiles targeting the US the current war would only escalate. Looking back at Pearl Harbor and 9/11 the US only got more involved in their current conflict. The Taliban would falsely believe they ended the war but the truth would be they only began it. If the United States launched the missiles targeting the Taliban and blames Russia. Stating they were unable to stop the missile launch onto Afghanistan cities and FOB. People would have doubts that Russia truly fired the missiles but the CIA will take care of that problem.

Has been put in and taken out several times. Don't see a single reason not to leave it in. We've had two overflows recently that I know of without having it in so I'd like to discount that myth here and now just incase someone still believes it. If someone is actually harassing with the collection whoever is getting harassed should either rejoin, or report and staff actually be there to handle it accordingly. If you just sit there and watch someone spam tf out of your printers you kinda just slow og +1

This is by far one of the dumbest suggestions I've seen. Sorry therapist but you need to take a step back. Here is the difference. Unintentional MRDM means you can't control or aim the firearm your character has and you have killed multiple people. This can be accidental but it is still RDM. You opened fire and hit people who were not involved because of your own actions and incapability of being able to aim properly. That is your fault still. When it comes to unintentionally crashing the server you can do basic normal things and the server is suddenly overloaded. What happened last night is a meth man had picked up a large amount of meth off the ground that he had created. There is NO WAY of knowing that this would crash the server, and it is in no way at fault of the meth man. Imagine just picking up a gun off the ground and something just breaks and the server crashes suddenly. Now you have to be banned for picking that gun up? The meth man has to be banned because he picked up meth he made and the server just suddenly broke? What a stupid argument to have. One is your fault, the other isn't.. that makes it entirely unfair. One can be avoided if you're more carful, another is nearly impossible to avoid. Just because you're salty you lost 5 mil on your printers doesn't mean we need to make an unfair and unjust rule. I lost a ton of money from the bank change that makes you only drop 1$ if you take out money and I am not sitting here complaining and begging for changes and to get that money back. Unintentionally crashing a server cannot be proven, and if it is unintentional it is not at fault of the person since these crashes can happen almost entirely at random for unknown reasons. Under your logic, if someone does something completely normal in-game and it just suddenly crashes the server they should be banned? Sounds stupid. Sometimes dupes accidentally crash the server, never meaning to do so when it hasn't done it before, and they should be banned? Hell fucking no. But should you be banned for MRDMing accidentally because you can't shoot for shit and kept firing anyway? Yes, because you're at fault! -1 big time

-1 Don't get me wrong - I hate server crashes as much or more than the next guy. But for the standard staff member (i.e. not Proggy or Garnet) and even for them, depending on the situation, it's virtually impossible (if not completely impossible) to fully prove/provide evidence for a ban to be handed down. I think since it's improbable that evidence can be collected that actually PROVES that the user has crashed the server, this would be an unnecessary rule change. Especially since this is an edge case of a niche scenario that can only be speculated, and never proven without-a-doubt, I think if it becomes a problem that the user would fall under the "Attempting to crash the server" rule; regardless of if the attempt was intentional, this would be handled similarly to how unintentional RDM is considered "Attempted RDM" regardless of if it was actually intentionally attempted, they broke the rule. TL;DR Without clear evidence that's nearly impossible to collect a ban won't be handed out and that is why I think this would be a pointless addition.

-1 When you joined the server your name was advertising a cheating/hacking forum. When the staff made you change your name, you changed it to another cheating/hacking forum advertisement, before being made to change your name once again. In my opinion you should have received a punishment for this, but regardless I don't think this behavior is one befitting of the staff role. I can't stand behind the decision to approve you. I'm not holding his original name against him really... it's the fact he was told that advertising cheats in his name is not allowed, and was told to change it, after which he changed it to yet ANOTHER cheating advertisement. Considering this all happened less than a week ago (meaning he hasn't really had much time in my opinion to learn the server very well), I think his staff app was poorly timed. All I know about ak47 is that he had cheating advertisements in his name, and instead of listening to the staff and changing it to a non-offensive name, he further wasted the staff's time by changing it to a separate hacking advertisement. I think if he takes the time to improve his image within the community he will be able to put this behind him. But playing for a week is not a good enough amount of time to become a well-known member in the community, so it's my opinion that he should continue improving his reputation and try again when he's known by others.

I believe you guys are forgetting something. Under the D3A attempting to/crashing the server is up to a month ban time. Unless I totally misread the post.

I am very sorry for missing over this component, I only gazed over the rules and didn't go in depth with them.

Thank you for doing your due diligence and reporting, I understand it can be difficult and am glad you're addressing your concerns respectfully and properly. To commence, on your first issue you stated yourself that you protected your fellow hobos, although you were not in a party and so based on the rules, you are not permitted to do so. And now on to the second concern, we do not have a warn system on this server, and as well as the fact that without proof I can't punish someone for prop blocking. In addition, you included the part where I mentioned the punishment for Random Death Match and that is correct to how the punishment standards go. That being said, I merely provided you with the information about how the punishments would be handled, I do not and have never condoned the unjust killing of others. I apologize that your experience on this server may not have been the best.

I feel like the issue for this is when is a ban warranted. For instance sometimes a dupe doesn't place and it shows staff that they may be attempting to crash the server and I believe we all understand that's not what we're talking about here. And so, I feel we would need a protocol for this if it's done. Granted the suggestion itself makes sense. +1

(as of the time of editing my 11AR was approved) This is where becoming a server GM comes into play, over my many years playing on MRP myself and many other have come up with lots of Good, Bad and Crazy ideas for game modes and events and while i am aware most of them wouldn't be viable there are still a good few that could be a lot of fun for the whole server and seeing the possibilities makes me super excited for the future and for the player base. now all of this sounds nice and all but without results or proof that I would be good for this these are just words and in order to prove that i could be a good gamemaster I would like people to look back at some of army's old events and while i know many of you wouldn't remember however back when i was a Gen in army i bereaved that it was my duty to help the player experience and I would often do this with events that would make your everyman important like, VIP rescue, commissioning ceremony's, and the large scale patrols around different objs with soc groups acting as hostiles and there are countless more examples , I know that these days those aren't considered creative events but at the time doing anything outside the box as a base faction was kind of rare so doing a more consistent amount of events and making your lower enlisted feel special and important helped a lot with numbers and overall attitude of army at the time and one of my main hopes is to replicate that on a bigger scale for the whole server. I think you misunderstood what I meant. Unintentionally crashing the server and attempting to crash the server in my opinion are different.

Description: I believe that we should establish a new rule, Unintentional Server Crash Reasoning: Many others and I have been affected by individuals crashing the server. Today there was a server crash, other and I lost over 5 mil in printers and money in printers. If unintentional Mass RDM is a ban which doesn't affect many people but the ones the who were Unintentional killed I think Unintentional Server Crash should also be a ban considering it affects 100+ people. Additional Information: Obviously it shouldn't be for that long considering unintentional Mass RDM is a reduced ban time.

Once i got into the admin sit it was confusing since lukas also reported me so we merged admin sits. in which hollowaygooner was let go for some reason when it was clear he broke nlr to kill me???? eventually i got returned and after about 10 minutes flame soul brought me back with lukas (for some reason lukas was there but he wasnt concerned over the issue) at which point flame soul told me i could be banned for mass rdm and that i would be jailed for 12minutes even though i had done my rp job of protecting my fellow hobos. overall bad experience. bad way to handle it. Additionally, about an hour prior flame soul also jailed me for rdm which is also wrongful. https://imgur.com/PrkViiQ as shown in the screenshot he comes to me and jails me for 4 minutes. this was because a man was blocking my hobo building purposefully and i gave him due warning, adverting warn three times over the space of a minute to give him fair chance to leave. i spoke in voice chat every time i warned him too. then i killed him. i was not able to enter my house without doing so as he had gone afk. flame soul told me there's nothing i can do about it and that i did nothing wrong but hes going to jail me anyway (as seen in imgur link). i then asked him so if i just straight out kill the man instead, would i just be punished the same and he told me (as seen in the screenshot) yes, although it might be a warn. but if i do under three people in 10 mins ill be okay. practically just telling me rdm is okay. overall this staff member has created a bad experience for me and i do understand i shouldve been in a party with the hobo. but it isnt justafied to jail me for something like that. now that i know ill be in a party in future. thank you for your time.
