  1. +1 I see you as a great potential for Staff since I already see you as a great member of 055th and the community itself. I've had positive experiences with the trio you're apart of and look forward to seeing y'all each time I get on and run an event or play war, as it's a genuine joy to play against or with y'all either way. Your overall application seems to be in order and from the looks of it I'm not the only one who agrees that your standing in the community is positive. Cheers!
  2. Bro I'm tryin man, grew up on that shit, feels like tryna go cold turkey sometimes but 'preciate it mate
  3. Jesus christ I sounded like a was strangling a dog lmaoooo My turn @Smity what you got?
  4. No way This shit gonna be CRAZY, can't wait to see how this one goes!
  5. +1 A genuine guy I've played with and enjoyed my time with. Active, and somewhat well known by everyone, I'd say he'd be good, if not great as a staff member! Form checks all the boxes and holds some weight when it comes to reputation.
  6. In-game name: 11A CPT Thomas Foolery Age: 18 SteamID: STEAM_0:0:523425845 Warns: 1 (Self-Damage) Timezone: CST Playtime?: 334:36:00 Do you have access to TeamSpeak and a microphone?: Yes Do you have the ability to record Garry's Mod videos?: Yes Referral(s): Horse Past experiences as a Game Master: Wasted 2 years total (on for a year, burned out, came back another) as a GM on Revival Servers. Never again. Also, was a GM here for about a month under Fetn and was told to come back whenever I was active again so here I am. Why should we choose you over other applicants?: Two years under the belt and I still have plenty of time for the server unlike most people in their twenties with long work hours. I'm able to work on my own time and pick and choose when I go into work, unless school gets in the way and won't be a problem for long since I'm a senior. Plus, I'd like to bring in more unique events than what I've been seeing a lot of since the map switch (copy and paste FFAs and such) with a bit more story and actual goals other than 'kill the bad guys', but of course I'll give the players something to shoot at, all work and no play sucks. Plus, I've noticed there's only one actually active GM member, Horse, and see Theos helping out a surprising amount when it comes to him being Manager, so I'd like to at least assist in doing events almost everyday this time around to help out! I've also been using my experiences as a Dungeon Master when playing D&D (yes, those skills connect surprisingly well when it comes to managing and running an event) to help both make my ideas and events as well as running them or throwing in some spice and twists into them so it's not bland or ends up how most expect it to. These skills tie in with almost every bit of heart and soul I slap into my events throughout the years, weather it was on Revival, Garnet, or even my adventures I make for D&D! Have you ever been banned or punished on any server? If so, Include details: [Zephyr Roleplay, Star Wars RP] Miss-clicked with a rocket launcher class when I tabbed out since my character spawns in with it out after an event that made everyone spawn in the same location. The feed was practically unreadable and lagged the server for a second or two, but I took a week ban. Didn't fight it, but they knew me as a long-time player and had mercy I guess since it should've been two weeks. How much time do you have to contribute to the role?: On average, about 6-7 hours, after 5 PM CST. Holidays, I get on after 12 PM CST and stay on almost the whole day. In your own words, what are the responsibilities of a Gamemaster?: To entertain the masses of the server and meet both the higher up's and the player's expectations. Act like you're a representor for the server, be responsible, and stay humble. Don't let your work rust and make every player feel special and needed within each event of yours they participate in. Always improve, but don't put yourself above your peers. Remember to give tips and accept criticism from those you respect and answer to. Describe how you would contribute to RP as a part of the Gamemaster team: I'd introduce more creativity and story-boarding for the players. PVPs and FFAs are fun too, but I know there's some people out there who want some adventure and at least a little story when it comes to how things happened. Please list and explain 3 unique event ideas designed for only your faction to take part in: (1) Drug Bust raid, but the NSG are also hired to raid the same place by an unknown liquidator. The Army and NSG would notice each other and obviously start questioning and getting hostile. Basically I wanna see what happens when I throw a wrench in the operation and like to watch how they try to solve it, either through the diplomacy of striking a deal and working together, or throwing hands and trying to take all the contraband for themselves in order to appease their orders. (2) A Takeover on a temporary Afghan Command Center that houses and sends out important intel as well as orders. It would be one-life for everyone contributing (including the real Tali I'd be putting in the center as well as NPCs) and, if they actually pull it off, get the chance to get a random Officer's name with a proper roll and can do another to set false orders for the Afghan to follow during Peace Time, like going to the Gas Station only for 3 Nailgunners to blow em to bits. If they roll too low, however, the Afghan will know it's fake and can roll to find where they sent the orders from and pull a counter ambush instead. All in all, it's just a mission with so many chances for it to go somewhere else and I love surprises. (3) A live execution of an important US Officer is being held in the center of town! After informing all SOC members, they'll need to devise a plan to stop it by any means necessary. Several paths I allow would include the simple 'snipe the executor from a mile away and grab the officer', but obviously I'd make it a hard escape for them for such simple-minded plays. They could go for a cleaner, but riskier approach by disguising as Afghan Elite members and ordering them to hand over the officer for torture so they can get intel, which is believable, and almost anything between the two! Please list and explain 1 unique global event idea designed for the entire server to take part in: (personally one I was upset that I never got to hold while I was GM) Operation: Waterworks. A full-on PvPvE for the entire player base to contribute in! A central Irrigation System in the center of town would be taken over by Event Characters and NPCs, who will announce their demands to both since it's used by both Afghan and Army forces for clean water to get to their base. After the announcement, there would be a Mission Holder from each side calling briefing to tell them to launch a takeover of the Irrigation System and complete a few tasks and defend in order to secure it. Both sides would need to fight not only each other, but the NPC squad as well throughout the entire battle while also managing the tasks on site. Basically my own spin on those little missions you do in Dark Zones in The Division that I loved so much.
  7. +1 Past GM and well-known, stepped down instead of disappearing off the face of the earth are positive notes. Although lacking in overall ideas for events, I can see that you are formally experienced and most likely held your own when it came to entertaining the masses of MRP.
  8. I'll say it again, the only people who would have access to them are Officers, and even IF an Officer abused the use of a taser (which would genuinely suprise me given how strict the rules would be with them and the punishment for going against them) you could just- clip, report, watch them fall. Simple. And without sounding rude, I don't think you understand how easy it is for people to ignore you on the server. There's that handful of people that actually understand and don't want to be annoying to other players, but (let's face it) there's a striking majority that will either plain-out ignore your requests to leave or your claim status, and even worse will gun you down when you attempt to arrest them for not listening and it just ruins the experience for people. Sure, you can call a sit, argue with the other player and hope that they either get warned and jailed long enough for you to finish whatever you were doing before they hunt you down just to do it again out of spite and watch them go out in a blaze of glory and MRDM before getting banned for two weeks, or you can just- tase 'em... And cuff 'em... The worst they can do after that is LTAP (which is a bannable offense!). Moral of this long-winded rebuttal; The Taser practically cuts out the frustration of dealing with the majority of players.
  9. While I do appreciate your feedback, it seems a bit flawed to me and how you would describe "abused". The taser isn't a sniper that can hit you from across the map, if you're close to kidnap range, you're about just within taser range. I also mentioned that the taser could also benefit such situations for the kidnapper to stop someone with a faster movement speed if they're still in range, which I don't see as "abuse". The only abuse I could see as being a true problem would be the issue of people tasing teammates for shits and giggles, but it's most likely already solved with the fact only Officers would get it and the potential abuse of them would result in demotion or removal from Officers. Plus, how do you expect us to adapt to the new AOS friendlies only rule now? Sure, we can just kill a tali that walks into DB or bunks, but what do we do when it's a US Soldier causing the issue? Can't lay them out anymore for RP reasons (which I feel is needed for a proper experience since this is MRP, not a PvP) and cuffing them requires them to be still or halted, which a taser would easily do.
  10. KEY- Red = Nerf | Green = Buff | Yellow = Nerf+Buff | Grey = Unsure/Neutral Pistol: As Jason has said, a faster draw speed would make the pistol more desirable and actually a tactical go-to secondary when your primary goes dry or you can't take the time to reload in the current situation. This would be a deadly combo with a slight damage increase since the known playstyle (or at least mine) is to use an AR primary and have a key-bind set for switching to your last used weapon, allowing you to almost instantly swap to your pistol and at least give you the chance to defend yourself when caught during a reload. Sub-Machine Gun: Honestly, I bought the SMG as a joke and thought I could at least get a kill with it as an insult to the other player, since dying to one is so rare, but I can't even manage to get a joke kill with it unless the enemy's caught reloading + not moving + faced away from me + distracted. The damage is too low compared to any AR, and unlike what most would expect, the FR isn't high enough to balance it out compared to such, not to mention the fact that it's severely inaccurate. A possible solution to this could be a few stat changes or a better trade-off, like it could keep its low damage and current FR, but have better recoil and/or accuracy compared to the ARs. Another boost to the SMG game should be a slight increase in draw speed since it's a lighter gun when next to an Assault Rifle and shouldn't be that slow to manage. Assault Rifle: No complaints, but the AEK is practically a laser beam next to its cousins, even without attachments. A lil' more recoil on it would most likely balance it out. AR-15 is surprisingly reliable actually, not sure why I dogged on it before. Battle Rifle: Only use the SCAR on the Cachet, and it just feels like a worse sidegrade to the AEK. More damage per shot, but harder to aim and lower FR (one good stat for two bad stats isn't a desirable trade). The lower FR feels relatively balanced when combined with higher damage, the only thing making me favor using the AEK over it even when I'm on the class that uses it is the recoil and aim spread make it a gamble in every firefight, whereas the AEK is almost completely reliable in any given situation. I think keeping the lower FR and damage, but making it a bit easier to keep on target by lowering recoil and decreasing aim spread a smidge would make it more reliable and therefore a competitor to the AEK. Designated Marksman Rifle: For a DMR, it feels WAY too snappy with the recoil on it! It might just be me, but it feels like Halo Reticle Bloom all over again where I have to take a nap in-between shots before I can shoot again with certainty that the dot I'm looking at is where the bullet's gonna go, except this time I just see the sky box after 3 shots. A balance I'd recommend is a bit less damage (enough so it takes 2-3 body shots) and an increase in recoil control. Right now, it just feels like a diet sniper, which it shouldn't be! It should be a mix between the control of an AR and the power of a Sniper Rifle, a BALANCED mix, that is. Sniper Rifle: Although I may be biased a little since I play NG from time to time and the movement penalty makes me easy pickings for snipers, I still feel like I got some valid points about this one. Their high damage is expected with the size of caliber they're usually firing and the tradeoff of only being useful at mid to long range since any CQC fight is almost certain death. And while I do notice a slower movement speed while wielding one, it feels like you're able to switch to and off it as quickly as anything else (if this is incorrect, ignore the rest). I think by making it slightly slower to switch to and from a sniper, it makes the gun a completely devoted playstyle for players to commit to, trading their vulnerability for unmatched damage at insane distances instead of just having a shotgun on quickswap to blow apart anyone trying to get the jump on them. Light Machine Gun: Honestly, these feel pretty fair! Understandably, they're at an obvious disadvantage on the move with their high aim spread and recoil, but excel at holding a position after deploying a bipod that counters its flaws. Its both realistic AND balanced, so I'm not even gonna touch it. Explosives: For the love of God, PLEASE nerf the Suicide Bomber radius (or find a way to make it not go through objects). It's pretty funny to watch the kill feed go crazy when one runs into base, but no one likes hearing that noise inside a building and going, "Yeah, he could be on a completely different floor. Doesn't matter, GG." and losing point because someone pulled a funny half a mile away through several walls. For the Matador, one of my personal favorites, I feel as if the crazy fast travel time of the projectile coupled with the surprisingly high radius is a bit ludicrous against the enemy. If the projectile could be slowed a bit, it might make it slightly more fair to go against. If not that, a slight reduction in the blast radius would do the same thing. If I can literally counter-snipe a sniper from the parking lot to the well-known head-glitching rocks towards Tali Base with how fast and wide the explosive reaches even when they've run away from the target point, it's not fair. When soldiers see an RPG, they panic, for it is a weapon on mass destruction that can wipe out a whole point if used right. When I see a rocket, I just take a light jog to the left or right of it, and by the time it hits I'm long gone. While its speed is lacking, it packs quite a punch! This punch, however, tends to miss due to its overall speed and quick drop over travel compared to the Matador. The range of the explosive doesn't even save it sometimes, and just ends up either killing me because I didn't move or hear it in time, or just dealing like, 3 damage to a few people. Either the range or speed needs a buff, but at least one of them since right now it's a laughing stock compared to the Matador. Melee/General: Melee is a joke (in a cool way) unless you have a knife on quickswap and find some poor mf with his back to you so you can pull a Spy From Team Fortress 2™ on his ass and yell "I AM THE SPY!" like a madman before getting gunned down by his teammate. Other than that, they're used as a cool way to move at max speed while at least holding some sort of weapon and can entertain yourself by inspecting it. Anything else like a machete feels like a gimmick or a bit for shits and giggles or duels of some sort.
  11. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1729622779 Word of warning, this may need some testing before even trying to get it into the server. Although I have used it with friends privately, and works fine by ragdolling the player briefly before letting them stand up and denying movement for about 5 seconds, a lot of comments on it refer to some bugs and problems such as clearing the player's inventory upon being tased. Although that doesn't sound like a problem to me seeing as the only people that should and would be tased are disruptive players and minges shooting friendlies or breaking base rules, it might be an issue if such a tool was misused or accidently hit another player. A simple respawn would resolve it, but again, never had the problem on a private server. If these issues prove too much, I'll be more than happy to hunt down another or even ask for which ones are used and favored by the GMod community.
  12. Agreed, should've stated that but yeah, abusing the tool meant for apprehending people to just "fool around" should result in punishment of any kind, ranking from rank lock, demotions, and even complete removal from Officers to any rank below such that is seen fit by the team. Since it will only be useable by Officers, staff wouldn't need to be involved as much since there won't be some moron PVT running around and tasing people.
  13. Description: We all know of the current issue that came with the new terms of no longer being able to just shoot a guy on your own team for disrupting your tryouts or breaking PTS one too many times, and while I believe such is needed to bring about a more RP-friendly experience within the server, I do in fact share the same frustration that many have and will have when attempting to arrest someone: they can MOVE. How can we fix such a dilemma, you ask? We can simply involve a staple tool used in almost any server that has rules and minges, a simple taser or stun baton that freezes a player for a few seconds! Reasoning:
  14. +1 Again, this is the same bastard I couldn't stand training late at night one day and literally thought would just shoot up the server the second he got a gun. He proved me wrong and then some, reminds me of myself moving through the ranks like a damn rat. He fills the boxes, and even though there's some concerns of mine when it comes to his answers, I know for sure he'll cast them away with his performance as usual. Makes a good Officer, and I have no doubt he'd make a good staff member too. God Speed, Bozo.
  15. +1 Genuinely an outstanding application and even a good read to be honest. Fills all the boxes and then some. Good ideas, good person and knows what he's doing. I'd be happy to see him in the Staff Team again, even if I wasn't around to see his first moments!
