  1. He did already mention these will be in the second part, as well as weapon fixes and adding the proper weapons cause it's not just those two classes that don't have them
  2. Looking forward to the complete setup for Afghan. Nice to see them return again in a better setup way
  3. My guy, you were banned from the server during the majority of the changes were you not? Half of the shit you said literally makes no sense, and is such a weird arguement. Of course seeing this thread get a ton of community support made you think "hmm, let's just be a goof ball and disagree xd" This first arguement is extremely wrong. It's important we acknowledge this. ALQ, BG, and IJU were not removed. They were removed when the change happened, yes. IJU might of gotten taken out but that was because the 3 entry faction system was not as effective from what me, garnet, and phantom had thought it would be. The playerbase was skewed and it was difficult to fill such a diverse amount of factions. Players progress was not wiped (maybe yours cause you were banned), and more people actually did join too? Literally dozens of screenshots of the server bussin with the implementation of RU that it actually killed the US numbers for quite a bit. The RU introduction was amazing and needed at the time. And yes, it obviously is the same system of having base and SOC tiers that scale? You're right but you're wrong. Being diverse does not equate to being "quirky" so to speak. Having different ranks, codenames, and all that really nitty gritty bullshit does not make you cool or more interesting. If my rank is Stinky in one faction but Smelly in another, that's not really that interesting because it means the same thing anyways. Cool, it's titled differently. Why not just have the ranking system be the same that way you don't have to try and decipher what the ranks are? Ranks mean nothing anyways, keeping them as closely related and simple is what's attractive. Simplicity > being Complicated. The people who were incharge left and it's why Afghan crumbled because it was basically entirely lead by Shrimps and his goons. Once you took that out, that side was dying. The idea for RU was to provide a change and kind of give a clean slate to what happened to Afghan. Not only that but the server in general during that time period was in a very rough state. The playerbase was extremely low, and quite a lot of veterans and long time leaders including myself had decided to depart from the server because of things like the map changes, growing bored of the server, IRL shit and whatever. The hype was brought back because something new and big was coming, which definitely attracted a large majority of people back and kept new players playing because it was unique. But, it definitely could be said MRP could use a change in it's scenery and current environment. This suggestion fits well and would very easily bring a large amount of players back and hook a lot of people back into the server with fresh content. Again, it's a large assumption to think the server is just gonna end up a cesspool because it gets changed to Afghanistan. Stereotyping is a general thing, and that's not gonna be stopped no matter what. Even the remark you made; People think Russians are these tough vodka drinking chads! And people think Afghistan fighters are murders and terrorists. This isn't what will bread the toxicity, FRP, and MRDM. It's the leadership and players that can influence that enviroment. Just because the server goes from RU vs US to AFG vs US, does not instantly insue chaos, but for some reason you wanna believe all this random shit despite being one of the most toxic, mingiest and disrespectful people that bread along with the other outcasts on the server. Your experiences during that time do not speak for a lot of other players who experienced it, and it certainly doesn't validate much of your false, and flat out incorrect statements towards not supporting this suggestion considering you're going off assumptions on some of your reasoning. It's insane that instead of actually looking into the suggestion itself, you literally just spewed a bunch of nonsense about old Afghan. None of the points or disagreement you've presented at all reflects on what the current suggestion has. Simply basing it off of your own experiences which again, were nicely summed up in the statement above this. With current light shining towards the Middle East in current real life, it's not terrible to reflect the server towards that. There is now a lot of information being given as said by Bishop towards the way some of their groups and military operates, giving a chance to actually provide more for the server instead of just being basic and going "haha terrorist boom". There is actual content to be had with this. I'd suggest reading the suggestion, and reading the replies you recieve cause I'd like to think I'm not the only one who can attest for what you said to be pretty untrue.
  4. Gamma was one of the kindest community members. He appreciated people and could talk for a damn long time about shit. You couldn't ask for a better person to have a conversation with because he listened to you if you listened to him. I frequently reacquainted with him during my returns and exits within the server and never would of took him as someone who was having a bad time in his life. Even if you never got to talk to him or enjoy his company, this entire community has shown that he was well respected and a great friend for many. He was loved more than he could know and its hard knowing that he didn't get to see how many people he truly impacted by just being a good dude. May he rest easy. o7
  5. Myself and many other people are going to miss you. Your heart was always in a good place when it came to others. Rest easy

  6. Definitely a lot of it is nostalgia, and you're probably not wrong that there would be a large portion of people who like, and dislike, csdesert coming back. I personally like the map because it was simple and there was a lot of open ground but solid objectives to play on. Four-way factions is also a tough call, because you wouldn't be wrong again to assume there is going to be a population struggle occasionally but it always shifts somehow. I can't really tell if you'd consider me a "solid veteran" because I know you like to group me into a lot of the dumb shit the people I talk to do, but I would actually consider coming back to at least help jump start the process if a lot of people want that to happen.
  7. Considering that Garnet was the first person to comment on this topic, and ask Jackal specifically in his post to comment his thoughts regarding this appeal because it actually involves his opinion, it could be said otherwise. Anywho, Honestly wouldn't wanna see ya come back to the server. When I was somewhat close with you, I constantly got messages from you about how you didn't want to be on the server and you always had intentions on leaving and not staying. Yet, you always came back just to try and grab something like the majority of players who come back. You may not be a shitty person personality wise, but you don't hold any standard when it comes to actions. You're just extremely carless. Honestly just looks like a typical appeal from someone who couldn't wait to leave until you got locked out of the community then came crawling back for another chance. And there is plenty of people to reference in similar situations as this. Hard to keep trusting people saying they've changed when really they haven't. -edit, okay so I guess garnet was referring to the disagree Jackal gave, but even so this was around the time he was on SWRP. Liked or not it's a reasonable opinion considering he was active at the time of situation. that's all
  8. Okay, wasn't asking it like a dick either if it came off as such. But another question would be what does this mean for those that prestiged? Understandable if that's a later problem but it seems like the buffs from prestiging are somewhat obsolete considering the damage buff and nerf (armor). Would the benefits be swapped for prestiging or would the values be highered?
  9. Was there some sort of post regarding the skill tree system that you made where players came up with these ideas?
  10. Honestly, I think the first two beats you made are better than the three a year later
  11. Well, some people did put thousands of hours towards the server and although it's not stated they deserve anything, a reserved rank wouldnt be the end of the world especially if it didnt hold any power at all. Reserves shouldnt be something people act entitled to but for those who have done good changes for a specific faction could have a reserved rank. Its very manageable to remove or monitor how reserves are given out and take away from those who have shown they dont use it fairly or abuse having the whitelists
  12. If it's called a community meeting it should be a community meeting. A meeting between officers and SOC neglects non officer entry players and makes it seem like they dont hold value. Many players could be old, come from other servers with experience, or just players with good ideas who are seemingly shut down. This should be the meeting that welcomes absolutely anyone to come into the channel and provide feedback or be able to at least hear what others are talking about to possibly add to the subject. Just my take, though. Maybe theres a reason I'm missing to why you would limit it as such.
  13. Seems like he understands that he had no reason to be doing it, and considering you mentioned you had told him to stop and didn't serves just to the ban. Shouldn't be throwing nades in base tobegin with. It's misuse of the equipment and entirely his fault
  14. I've only ignored one persons signature before and it was shruggers, yet you manage to top his with this shit

      Homast

I'm not sure how I did it.
But I've gone ahead and changed it to something smaller

  15. I'm the only person from his "friend group" that joined the faction, which was something I had asked to be apart of and was then offered before its implementation because I liked the idea behind the faction and knew shrimps needed someone he could trust and rely on if needed. I'm gonna take a wild guess that you're a newer player who feeds off of information from the people around you instead of actually finding things out yourself and decided to pull this comment out of your ass.
  16. I'm really confused how you're going to dive into this suggestion to change the faction when it's not even setup? I havent played for maybe 2 days and that apparently means that I've been inactive and havent done anything for the faction. Sorry that I didnt feel like getting on because I wanted to enjoy a different game while I patiently waited for the faction to be implemented correctly. Literally cant do anything without the faction being setup on the server OR the event server which while shrimps was still GM wasnt even on there at all. And again no idea how you're going to claim I have no involvement yet I have my own modules created that I was told to make. I've been on the server practically everyday besides maybe a few days this week because of the mentioned reasons above. No idea why you're trying to speak for others but its probably best you didnt.
  17. I love looking at shit like this. Wish I was better with cooking but it's always really cool to see people make food for some reason. Always dope to see someone passionate about something. Looks like it was fucking great, and you should definitely post more cooking
  18. 2GA T1 & T2 are both capped at 5 players max but US Army has an unlimited cap. Are they meant to be unlimited since entry or is it actually supposed to be capped?
  19. The point of the proof section is to provide the evidence you have to counteract the fact of you cheating. It doesnt make sense to not post it but then say you'll send it to people via email. Regardless, evidence of that nature proves nothing anyways. You simply could have prerecorded gameplay as a way to think ahead incase a ban was placed. The only reason it would be valid or prove anything was if the video you have is of your POV from the clips D Rose gathered and put on the thread. Also your reasoning to why you're not cheating is sounding like you're playing dumb. If you cheat on a server you like and have shit to lose, I wouldnt assume you're gonna go out and make it blatant. You're gonna hide it, trace occasionally, toggle occasionally. Clearly the videos shown show good enough proof that you're suspicious and more than likely are using some sort of third party. (Edit) also, I'm pretty sure the whole point of the screenshot of you getting three kills was to show the fact that you got three consistent kills, back to back, with an m14 all headshots and for the same damage. Mk14 is pretty trash, and even for players who are veterans and may do decent with it definitely dont hit all back to back headshots without their being a chance of them cheating. -1
  20. Could just setup a text screen in the cc spawn
  21. Y'all -1 shit for one grammatical error yet you're +1ing basically a shitpost. The dude is an immature 17 year old who thinks he's untouchable cause he was friends with DRP staff that circle jerked eachother in the past lmao
  22. Reserves has a lot of issues but I don't think that means the system needs to be cleared. Staff moderation is a good idea and should of been a thing years ago. Reserves does offer incentive for players to come back who are long gone. Clearly the fact that players come back and use these ranks to gain instant power after not being in the loop for quite some time is an issue. Too many times to count where a player comes back and holds an officer rank and either snags the leadership once it dies or tries to make a stand for another faction they aren't apart of. To eliminate that is to restrict how much power and access reserved players have. It's a reserved rank, so really there shouldn't be any power to begin with. The rank is as simple as being an extra body on the whitelist that's really there to just assist the leader or active officers with things like tryouts and sims. Make it so reserved players can't come off reserves until a solid 2 weeks+ of activity on the server. I've done it myself where I've came back and played for a bit, came of a reserved rank within about 2 or 3 days and realised I wasn't really enjoying the server and left. If not that, you could simply make it so if someone decides to come off reserves they just restart at the base rank of the faction and rework themselves up. Better than no reserves. This doesn't bother me so much because I've lost the majority of my reserved ranks on this server anyways for bullshit or X reasons, but also because everytime I've came back on a reserved rank I don't tend stay there very long. But I thought to add some imput because I don't agree with the way it's being handled regardless of how much it affects me.
  23. I've been hyped since I saw this on SWRP and you wanted to do it for MRP. Personally love the tiers
  24. Siberia is the map with the sliding, correct? I think Garnet did mention he would remove that effect so I'd be down for that if that change was made
  25. I do like the idea of an additonal faction for Russia. Having another alternative could be very beneficial in terms of attraction and letting the playerbase have more options and opportunity. Although, I feel like this whole idea of "balancing" stems from how the server was when we played on it. It's not necessarily a major issue that a lot of people call on anymore because it isn't. Russia performs decently on having balanced factions WHEN the numbers are there, and the same thing can be applied to how US is. I am in support of adding it. Understandable how some leaders may be upset because they weren't brought into the talks about another faction being intigrated but I wouldn't doubt a proper leadership could be made from it. Two things I very much agree on sort-of. I believe that the factions should have identification so people stop comparing oneself to another because they both have a sniper class or something. Especially as you said considering that a resurgence of roleplay is happening. Certain factions have certain roles, and some people may dislike that but it's important to know and have because it allows you to describe what your faction is to players and makes it useful for when an RP situation calls for a certain role to be played. Everyone plays an equal and interesting part of their own. When it comes to ranks, the only issue to me is when factions don't include them in their name. It's unappealing. I wouldn't wanna join a faction that does something like that. It's not elite, and it's not cool. Although it's only Rangers currently, MANY factions have taken part in this system and it always flops. As for the structure you made, I don't think it's too much of an issue. If the ranks make more sense this way and actually provide a system that works and isn't complicated then it should be used. I love ya man, but this shit isn't necessary. The community's opinion on this matters just as much as yours. Seemingly, you make it to be like it's something that is happening more than it being a suggestion. Let people voice themselves on it because other people can have good takes too. I do know what you mean though, just not something you needed to word like that. Basically agree with all of this. Actually putting a decent cool down on the ranks would add a lot of insentive for players to stay and feel like they are working up to something. Handing out ranks is just asking for people to move on from the faction to feel like they are progessing again. I know that when I was originally in SEALs that this system worked well, for when I wasn't leading and when I was. I strived for promotions and stuck to the faction cause I wasn't the 2iC in 1 week, and when I lead my guys had to wait for those promotions and I knew that when I gave it to them they felt pretty good about it. It was actually a big deal to see people given an O-2 or O-3 rank. I skipped out on commenting on a lot of the other points made mainly because I don't feel like going through everything, so I'll leave these points for now.
