  1. +1 Tdizz am I right? Sounds like the gang is coming back together Tdizz is one of the kindest Veterans of GG. He has never been afraid to engage with the community and learn. I remember watching him catch cheaters on Rust back in the day... and I don't even play rust Any single person who played when Tdizz was staff will surely have great things to say about him, be it from SWRP, Rust, or DRP. I can say that I've at least never seen someone have issue with him.
  2. -1 Lifespan of the mayor is too short to try and do any of this with a plugin. The mayor should be able to roleplay their own Referendums using the PD meeting room with the podium or any location really. Voting system sounds alright but when you consider the pop up would be appearing many many times a day as a dead Mayor tries to "re-elect" himself repeatedly or as other people join it. Especially considering your suggestion includes lowering the level cap, it goes from sounding alright to sounding awful. As a player, I don't really want to vote on the mayor at all. If I don't like the mayor, I'll put in a hit, raid their base, or do whatever it takes to end their life in roleplay. I don't think level 50 is hard to accomplish or get to, and believe that the level cap exists to ensure a prospective Mayor has at least played long enough to have tried several of the classes, seen other Mayors in action, and understand how the server works. It's not a job anybody should get to within an hour of joining the server - even the basic PD has a level cap (although this is more because they get a gun for free) The sortition doesn't make a lot of sense. Lotteries for free? Who's funding it? If you're wanting to gather people to come up with new laws and ideas, I don't think making an exception in the lottery system for a mayor for money to appear out of thin air should be something added to the game. If you're saying the Mayor should foot the bill, taxes, the PD vault, etc., then this information should be included in your suggestion. Either way, sounds like another thing to handle via RP. All around it sounds like the suggestion is asking for some plugin-enforced handholding to an already hard to roleplay scenario. If you start gathering people around the mayor on a server like this chances are he's just going to die anyways.
  3. +1 Situational check to see what CC I'm a part of. It's at the point where I am considering making a CC support simply to REMOVE a skin I've paid for (Assassin) because I only like to use it 1/20 times vs. Skeleton, which doesn't look quite as goofy with the 75K vending machine recolors. At least add a menu to let me swap models between whatever class I'm a part of. I know updating the CC system has been on the development list for years but I think this suggestion is a 10/10 must-have for any implementation of CC classes, present or future.
  4. I know I'm not important enough for a mention (subtle sarcasm) but honest to god I'm surprised you've been staff so long. Hope whatever it is you do in the future, you take your own advice and have fun. Life's too damn short to do something we don't enjoy.
  5. Description: I've made a suggestion like this so long ago I can't find it but I figure with the 'freshening' going on with DarkRP and with the Support Portal etc. it would be as good a time as any to update the Donator portal. The current state is of items that have been added without images (or incorrect images), descriptions, or even full names, making it hard for someone to make an informed decision on purchasing an item. When I'm going to the store to buy an item, if I see a picture of a gun and get something entirely different, I'm going to feel a bit ripped off. A good example would be the suggestion I made a few years ago, the "SW MODEL 3 RUSSI" on the store. So we have what is listed as an SW Model 3 Russian. Now, if you don't know what that gun actually is, you might think that the gun on the picture is the gun you'll be getting. INCORRECT. The picture used here is an SW Model 19, a gun I would LOVE to have. However, the SW Model 3 Russian looks like this: A new player would have NO WAY of knowing with certainty what gun they'd be receiving. If they know what an SW Model 3 Russian is, they know it's not the gun in the picture. And if the entity selling you a gun doesn't even know what it's called, it's a tossup on what you'll be getting. Here's some more examples: What's a GHOST KNIFE | HYP? GHOST KNIFE | COS? There's no image and there's no description. The Garnet Vape doesn't have a picture, so how would you know what color clouds you'll get? The Luger, Vikhr, HK45, and Contender G2 could use a simple picture from Google Images (so long as you're using the correct gun) Reasoning: [how would this benefit our server?] The Donation portal accurately describing and presenting the items you will receive when donating is essential to the server in my opinion. A prospective donor must trust that they will be receiving what they think they will be, and not "leaving it up to chance" and just buying something to see what they might get. Donating for items should not be a gamble. Besides the actual necessity of the donation portal accurately describing it's offerings, it would look much more professional to see each of the offerings in a somewhat consistent fashion. This would be a low effort way to make the donation experience more polished and complete from a user perspective. Additional Information: ^

    /staff

Description: [description of what you are suggesting, one paragraph minimum] One paragraph minimum... but the suggestion is simple. We add a command which is /staff. What does this command do? Returns the display names of the "Online Staff" section of the F4 menu. Reasoning: [how would this benefit our server?] Currently it's required that one has to go to the F4 menu to see who all would be available for a sit. When you're waiting on someone to take an urgent sit, it's tedious to go to the F4 menu and see the names of every staff member who would potentially be available for you in your time of need. Additionally, this would help staff who are online see who all else would be available (if they aren't AFK) to assist them before taking a break or requesting help in the staff discord without needing to navigate menus. I know some will say "this isn't important" and "it's not a priority" (even though they have absolutely no clue the prioritization of the development/update team) but from a programming standpoint, simply adding it as a ticket to be worked on eventually would suffice. DarkRP is currently undergoing quite a lot of updates and adding another idea to the fray isn't harmful. Additional Information: The only thing to fear is fear itself.
  7. +1 Reason:
  8. Absolute win right here
  9. Optional Ammo Box Detonation: You can decide whether my ammo boxes go kaboom or not. Use the console command M9KAmmoDetonation This is all that was ever needed to fix the issue with ammo boxes chain-react exploding each other wiping prints and crashing the server.
  10. +1 Don't remember this feature being removed but couldn't hurt to put it back.
  11. I do something similar. My macro is: bind f11 ";+voicerecord" Using this, it sticks your mic on toggle. Using my default Push-To-Talk (V) resets it to not be toggled on
  12. +1 To be fair I haven't met you in DarkRP but I feel your forum feedback to be mostly unbiased and your app good. If you don't get accepted I hope you take criticism to heart and come back in a few weeks more powerful than they could ever imagine.
  13. -1 if you know you know
  14. Wish you all the best Shin, you know I'm always here for you bb
  15. +1 bonk
  16. +1 Was going to say neutral... I think this would be a great idea but Garnet said implementation would be downright ridiculous due to him needing to whitelist every class in the PD vault. Alternatively however, what if he just blacklisted the classes that shouldn't raid the vault? I haven't seen the code but from a theoretical standpoint I think it would work.
  17. +1 this is one of the most iconic lines and would be a great addition When I was doing this roleplay, I spawned in a Trashcan, bought a shipment of Water cans from the Bartender, and then swapped to PD. When someone would walk close enough I'd hit them with the line and if they didn't cooperate (in an RP way - i.e. "fuck you pig!") I'd stun stick them I had the voiceline on a soundboard but with it ingame that would be even easier for everyone
  18. M95 dragon. Does more dmg than Dlore, has 5 in it's clip, just doesn't have pinpoint noscope accuracy. It's also cheaper than the Dlore. It's the only sniper that can consistently 1 shot people with perks not on a headshot, making it the most powerful sniper in the game.
  19. I was under the impression that CS:GO and Garry's Mod are different games. Your "additional information" shows one of the top 5 highest rated eSports games has, as of last month, nerfed the AWP sniper. Garry's Mod should not be subject to change because the developers of a competitive shooter deemed it so. That logic simply doesn't hold up. Your entire reasoning is that "CS:GO did it so we should too" but that's foolish. "If CS:GO itself feels that the Dragonlore/AWP needed its magazine size reduced, then it's pretty safe to say that reducing the ammo on DarkRP would both help keep the accuracy of the CS:GO weapon and improve the overall balance of the server." like CS:GO is some guy who decides what happens in the Garnet Gaming DarkRP server --- Regardless, the AW50 already exists in DarkRP. The AW50 (being the AWP that CS:GO nerfed - as skins are cosmetic in that entirely different game), and the Dragonlore sniper being a separate 30$ beatstick for donators. These are separate weapons with separate power as one is a standard sniper that anyone can get and one represents "the most expensive/godly sniper" which has had 10 rounds in it's clip for ages. I won't even bring up any other points as there are no other points to this suggestion.... just "CS:GO did it and we should too!" TL;DR: I don't think competitive shooter titles making balance changes (which happens much more than GG) should affect donator weapons on Garnet Gaming Dark Roleplay.
  20. Exactly, I don't see a reason to make this any worse. Adding actual theft into the game when people are legitimately paying for credits on the store ( @ChrisRid you can't tell me you've never seen someone pay for credits on the store) seems excessive. If I'm not going to be able to play on my main without a constant 2million target on my head I'll be on an alt or not playing at all. I know there isn't anyone else who's prestige 20 but if there was I'm sure they'd agree with me. I don't think there's anything wrong with the current mugging system either. It's been around for ages and is about as vanilla as a mugging system can get.
  21. -1 to OP and to Chris's counter-suggestion I already have a hard enough time trying to come on and RP as it is being Prestige 20. If I try to RP with some new players, before I can even say anything "OMG PRESTIGE 20 HEY BRO CAN I HAVE SOME MONEY" etc. etc. etc.... A perpetual 200K target on my head won't help. I can see people who aren't highly prestiged +1ing this suggestion. I got to my level back when Prestiging got you nothing. No hats, no points, nothing. If I could go back and never prestige I would. I would rather be able to hide prestige levels than be worth 200K+ to any thief who sees me. So for the people who are +1ing this, consider that his is how much currency costs in the store: If I saw someone walking around that was worth 8$, I would nonstop be trying to mug that person. I don't think this is a good idea overall. This is just a punishment for progression.
  22. +1 ˳˚॰°ₒ৹gulugulugulug˳˚॰°ₒ৹๐
  23. +1 simple and low-effort. I have instructed many people on this very subject as well and if this being in the description helps people understand without having to hope someone is willing to help them then why not?
  24. -1 Level 20 is too easy to get and abuse AdvDupe2 with. Maybe something for if you get prestige 1/2 without AdvDupe to "earn" it but that would be quite rare. It's actually easier + faster to earn ingame and trade for VIP than that, plus it helps support the server, which is the point behind donating.
  25. +1 This would make bailing during a lockdown less of a slap-in-the-face to Cops but more of a payday. Maybe not the whole amount, but it wouldn't make sense to exclude bail money from the vault. Added benefit is, that when someone sees a lot of bails happening in chat, that might cause a large-scale PD raid. I can't think of any negatives.
