+1 Big quality of life change.
  2. maybe we can compromise on 48 hours
  3. This is sorta what I suggested last time, but I think the main reason it wasn't implemented was using a differently-named map wouldn't be peak conformity. New players that have the normal map might be a tad more hesitant to join Garnet knowing they will at a minimum need to download a map (this isn't really my reasoning, just what I was given whenever a map update is suggested). I 100% fully support the idea of a night map every other day, just could see that not happening due to the map change. Probably why the day/night cycle was coded in, to provide a similar atmosphere at a cost of performance instead of map name.
  4. +1 I like nighttime
  5. +1 When I set up my prints and go outside my base to roleplay. I'm basically restricted to under 20 minutes before I have to return to my base. Making the timer last longer would allow people to leave their bases for longer periods of time. Now that Keypads notify on deployable and raiding has been changed a bit, I think it wouldn't hurt to add 10 minutes to the timer. I doubt a 10 minute boost is enough to make everyone hide in their bases any more than they do and actually believe it would lead to more people leaving their bases for longer periods of time.
  6. +1 Good paragraphs Good community support I also like to see that you're involved in internships as well as robotics. This alone shows you are able to dedicate your time wisely, and your paragraphs clearly summarize why you would make a great staff.
  7. I'm going to have to say -1 for now. Based on your experience as cop this morning: stabbing my alt and then coming back after you died to self-defense to arrest me (during the NLR timer), I don't feel you have a firm enough grasp on the rules at this time. I will say that being a staff requires you to know all of the rules at least to a reasonable extent, so I suggest you spend more time reading the rules as if you take a test and don't know them you'll not pass and need to reapply anyways.
  8. +1 Though I don't think they should be allowed to place keypads. I think the Mayor should be the only one allowed to do that personally.
  9. 1. Telling me the Roleplaying Game we're playing exists within a videogame and isn't a realism simulator isn't a good enough strawman argument to provide any reasoning why all illegal income is reported to the Mayor. If you try to tell me that in real life, 100% of illegal income is always reported then you're just flat-out wrong. I literally said that, maybe not word-for-word, but yes: I plainly stated I don't want to be a target just because I decide to farm printers. It's not a vanilla experience to have the cops farming printer farmers, and it will lead to me just not wanting to farm printers anymore. That's fine - I don't really need to farm printers. But I don't think the cops earned any of that money and I don't think they should be entitled to any of it, how many times do I have to repeat myself for you to listen? Rewriting what I'm saying and saying WAA WAAA WAA isn't helping your argument either, it just shows how you handle criticism and that you truly don't want to discuss the pros and cons of this. If you're going to act like we're children on the playground, that's how I'm going to view your argument. 2. There's actually three four of us, so far, among the people on the forum. You seemed to delete or get rid of your old post, with other people -1 on it, and you made this thread 16 hours ago... you might need to be patient my man, it's not like the entire community checks the forums every single day. You're being rather facetious if you think this is everyone. 3. So I can just put my income onto an alt/clanmate? Sounds easy enough to launder then. 4. Mayor doesn't receive the PD profits? That's probably for the best. 5. Excluding Mayor, yes? 6. There's reasons to RP as a police, but if you're trying to amass loads of money then roleplaying as a cop is probably not your first bet. Just because criminals make more money than law-abiding cops (which makes sense to me) doesn't mean that cops should be extorting criminals. Does reasons = money? Because I roleplay for fun, the same reason I play Dungeons and Dragons, the same reason I go drug dealer and spend millions on drugs to trick people into taking them and listening to their reactions, the same reason I play Fallout 4. Am I earning money doing any of those things? No - but that's not the only purpose of a roleplaying game. 7. Like I said, there's not just two of us. Sure, only three four of us have commented within the 16 hour time, but that doesn't mean our opinions don't matter. But sure, keep acting like nothing I say holds any weight or importance, picking apart my argument and only focusing on what's easiest for you to criticize. Since you skipped over the most important part of my last post, I guess I'll put it here again in case you accidentally deleted this whole paragraph out of my quote instead of just ignoring it: Cops don't even have to abide by NLR rules. And you're telling me "just kill him" how headass of a suggestion is that? Balance is totally fucked here, and I wouldn't expect anyone who doesn't actually play DarkRP from a printing or raiding point of view to have true insight into how ridiculous it is to establish an invincible base with no party limit, no NLR, free guns, a highly-abuseable lockdown button, and then want to put illegal money in there with the expectation that it gets raided.
  10. Yes, I think probably more than half of the people who join a 'vanilla' DarkRP server don't want or expect the Mayor to profit from their crimes. Is the tax bill based on income in a given time period? It's not very clear how this is supposed to operate... How much I've earned in the last hour? Ten minutes? Since my last bill? If the mayor is able to set a 20% tax on Lottery, with high-population lotteries easily exceeding 1 million dollars (that's 200K every 30 seconds for the Mayor), and Tax all Printer income (I didn't see Job income mentioned, 'salary' is but we both know that's pennies), then we're easily looking at making this the most overpowered class in the game. The mayor already has the strongest base in the server with the largest allowed defense force and the ability to force lock the doors mid-raid with the lockdown button (seriously overpowered and abuseable) so I don't think it makes sense from a roleplay perspective or a balance perspective to also give a class that's able to make millions more than virtually any normal player every couple of minutes (off lottery alone) that they should also have the strongest raid force in the server that has the ability to blast past walls, ignore party restrictions, and be specifically targeted at anyone the mayor chooses. Keep in mind this is not PoliceRP. It is supposed to be DarkRP Vanilla, or at least close to it. Every single day we stray further from the light of God... If I played the mayor as much as you Bizzy, I too would want my class to be the best class in every single way imaginable with no downsides. However, for the players old and new, I think this idea smells terrible and should be restricted to legal income and lottery. I don't think the Lottery should be able to be taxed at such an extremely high rate either, but that's something people opt-in for and would easily make millions more than robbing criminals of their money and therefore implying that printing money(CRIME) is now encouraged since it actually profits the Mayor (CRIME LORD)
  11. Yes, but illegal money has never been taxed. In real-life, ingame, etc., there is no actual logical reason why police would know about or have the ability to control illegal income. My point is they shouldn't even know about it. It's illegally printed money.... is there some invisible gnome in my base that's snitching on all my illegal earnings? Are cops dirty enough they don't care that the majority of their funding will be crime? If it would just WANT the player that doesn't sound overpowered. But to be able to individually target any person playing the game with a WARRANT and tear down their base with an army of cops, without any actual evidence besides the mayor's Godlike psychic abilities, sounds like an insane addition to the server. That does NOT sound like a server I would want to play on... I've played NaziRP that is more free than that.
  12. -1 Police shouldn't get the psychic ability to be aware of all printers on the server with the Mayor being able to claim illegally printed money in the first place. From a roleplay point-of-view, it makes little sense why cops who would normally need valid photo evidence of printers to warrant someone can get omniscient knowledge and the ability to target any player in the server every 5 minutes. It might sound interesting but I personally know that if I am getting targeted and warranted because the Mayor is psychically aware of my printers and able to warrant me without evidence from across the map, that I would probably find another server to play on i.e. one with a bit more vanilla approach. As this suggestion stands I simply cannot support ascending our police force to have the mental acuity and awareness of literal Gods. I could go further and explain why this wouldn't even work (what if my alt owns the whole base and I collect on my main?) but why not just create something that actually fits in with the roleplay? Or if we're going to make the PD into a psychic secret police made up of super people, we should add wizards and goblins too for the fantasy aspect.
  13. We got it sorted over a discord call. Danny had the CSS Models, but not the CSS Map content - the materials etc. are included in that content pack.
  14. Try this first: If installing all of the source material still causes your hobo box to not work I can try to assist further via discord etc.
  15. +1 Only noobs base here anyways and it's never really a problem. One explosion blows up the whole base, making it the worst base on the map, but if people want to base here I don't see why not. Would make a great little gunshop hut or something too.
  16. -1 No SteamID in the SteamID field No Playtime listed Missing one paragraph (The 'Why should we choose you over other applicants?' section requires 2 paragraphs Didn't read the staff rules I suggest: Use https://steamid.io/ to pull your SteamID Use /playtime ingame to see your playtime and put that in the application Edit your post to include another paragraph if you are able to modify it while it's still up For " How much time do you have to contribute to the role?" it's referring to the staff role, so this would be usually the weekly amount of hours you could dedicate. Read the staff rules more carefully Also, a blanket suggestion: Read some of the past accepted/denied staff applications to give yourself an idea of what we're looking for and the types of applications we turn away. Best of luck!
  17. -1 For these reasons: For "How much time do you have to contribute to the role?" you just put "Hours" Playtime is referring to your total server playtime, not your schedule You claim to "read the rules constantly" but you didn't even read the staff rules. Your ban(s) lack details/explanation I suggest: Use /playtime to get your exact playtime Use /warnmenu to get your active warns (past expired warns are less important on these applications - we won't expect you to remember them) For SteamID place the SteamID value (not SteamID64) so for yours it would be STEAM_0:1:483705189 For "How much time do you have to contribute to the role?" explain on average how many hours a week you'll be able to contribute to staffing. You actually have two bans, here is the screenshot for your future reference/if you reapply: Lastly, I suggest you read the staff rules very carefully before reapplying.
  18. I'm going through a lot of stress and mental funk lately and I don't think I can fulfil my responsibilities this month. I won't go any further for my own sake. Should be back in 2 weeks or so.
  19. @Titan1 YO HE'S DONE IT
  20. Great job to all who got promotions! Here's to another month
  21. Prometheus is always the one that seems to crash my various computers about 10hrs into playing. Bizzyvapes almost always gives my lower-end CPU issues about an hour into playing. Everywhere I play has the "oldbarhud" and "hats" errors begin occurring as well. I thought Prometheus was an issue on my end but it's somehow refreshing to know I'm not crazy, as I've spent hours trying to correct this on my end to no avail. These issues began for me around December, which definitely was an impact in losing motivation to play as often that month or the month after.
  22. +1 Dan the man. Great referrals, awesome application, and lots of playtime. P.S. I personally don't think you messing around once as a user should be grounds to not become staff. If there wasn't any sit or punishment, how big of a deal could it be? Frank himself was in the screenshot and didn't say -1 until someone else did; that alone tells me that Frank didn't think it was an actual problem until he saw others did. I see current staff (L.Admin+ even) get away with far worse than just having fun, and I don't think we should hold him to any higher standards than any other player of the game. Maybe what looks like DarkRP in the screenshot really was an awful horrible experience that impeded on the experiences of others. I don't know though, because there's no video and I am not hearing about any punishment he received. If he wasn't reported, did this really impede on anyone's gameplay? Innocent until proven guilty? I personally prefer not to hold someone accountable for something that was so minor they didn't/couldn't even receive punishment for it. I'd sooner base my judgment on the punishment he received and the events leading up to it, than micro-analyze one single situation like he was trying to actually ruin the game for others without proper evidence or context.
  23. -1 The whole point of these exclusive skins is for only those who are dedicated enough to earn it or contribute enough to buy it to be able to show them off. They're the best skins in the game, they should cost a lot. If you want them badly enough buy them. If you think that the cost is too high for them, then you don't want them badly enough.
  24. when I started RPG7 was roughly 7 million. After Unbox added the cheaper RPG crate, the lowest I've seen it sell for was 1 million. And this was when it was in a 100K crate (Pirate Crate RIP) EX41 sold for a bit cheaper than the RPG because it's less useful and arguably the weakest right next to the M79 I'd say +1 to making the percentages closer to what they were before the crate was nerfed but I think the rates offered here are a bit high. If we could look at the probability as it currently stands we could more easily decide what would be a fair compromise, because as most of us know: buying crates for an RPG is designed to waste your money as opposed to outright buying them. Otherwise, I'm going to have to say Neutral which I hate doing. But I can't -1 or +1 this without more accurate information, perhaps from Proggy or Nutman.
  25. +1 Do I even have to say anything? The new players that this benefits the most would get to play the fun jobs faster. If done for printers I don't think it should carry over multiple levels i.e. if I am level 1 and I collect 100k it shouldn't put me past level 3 (in my opinion)
