Yeah, I feel like some people are brushing over the printer tax tbh, again as I said in my post assuming evasion gets a warrant that's a very easy way to fuck with someone without getting in trouble, plus the fact that a lot of people who base with printers might honestly bounce if we begin taking earnings. As I said in my first post, everything else sounds cool, but I 100% -1 the printer/illegal item taxation. (Keep in mind I don't even base and I see the problem with this, that says something.) A good compromise would be bankers could be taxed on the printers stored with them, and we add incentives for people to run banks. Not only would that fix this problem but if we added more incentive to run a bank it'd make that class used a lot more too. Just food for thought, and honestly I think it's a lot more realistic that way. Plus, I think it'd be funny to have a bank attempting to tax evade on its stored printers. Now. Assuming this "tax to have printers" really is just 1-5k an hour or something along those lines, I don't really see nearly as much of an issue with it. It could appear after you collect money, and apply to that printer (so people who sold off their printers don't worry about it) however thats really all I could agree to. It would also not have to be per printer, especially if you are farming a fuckton of printers. That'd just both piss people off and inflate the pd vault drastically. @Bizzy keep in mind not only do I not base but I also absolutely love being mayor, and even I think the balance it's getting way too tipped in their favor if we add this suggestion as-is. These solutions would make all parties happy, and would allow for even more policerp! Hope to see what you think of them.

Maybe a midway compromise, bankers can only be taxed on printers. I agree, printers being taxed is a horrible idea, unless it's through legal ways. Suppose your targeting someone's base, they want to keep making money so they evade, without knowing police are camping outside their base ready to destroy it. I can see serious targeting issues coming from it. Everything else sounds cool though @ShankNinja is one of our bigger bases so I trust him on printer tax, and the idea of the mayor being someone who can see all printers being used is honestly stupid. The cost of both our bigger printer users using printers less thanks to this and the amount of easy ways to harrass someone with warrants through this is staggeringly large. -1 if you intend to add the printer taxes like this

Assuming this is possible and would not require any new add-ons (or nothing large at all) then yeah that sounds pretty cool, but I'd need further details on the addon or if it's custom made to make a fully informed decision on the matter.

Suggestion: The warden lost his ability to build in the PD when the mayor did to prevent them from making bases as well. I say we bring it back! Especially since now the mayor can build now, why not just go the full way? This benefits the server because we literally only removed it because of the fact the mayor wasn't allowed to build, and back when we did have it I can tell you right now the amount of funny shit the wardens would set up at times was incredible. Courtrooms, literal death games to earn your freedom, etc. the list goes on and on, and I was one of those people who loved making the PD jail a little bit more special as warden. Thoughts?

I just didn't want to +1 anything until I knew your angle on it. In that case, +1. I dunno man, I'm not ready to support something until I know it's concrete, this feels like a big gaping hole you gotta figure out or atleast suggest solutions, refunds being something that's hard and sometimes impossible to issue, I was curious if you have any other solutions. I can't support the printer claiming system if you cannot come up with a solution for situations where printers are mass claimed, etc. because this is a situation that very likely will happen, and for big basers this could be a huge problem. Because of this, I am -1ing the printer claiming system until a solution is made for this, and +1ing everything else. To clear up what I'm looking for, I'd like to know if we are going to have a way to reverse false claims of printers, and if so there should be a tracker for that to avoid its abuse. Having this would prevent false printer claiming, or direct sabotage of someone's printers in their base by a "teammate" who is attempting to screw them over, etc. False claiming could be a huge issue if some random kid gets into your base and claims even one, as upgrades are costly. I understand protecting bases is important, but there should be a failsafe if someone is falsely going around claiming someones printers just so they will explode later. Other than that I really like the suggestion.

Why and how would we start refunds? What if the staff online do not have enough money to refund it? Would this mean we start refunding lost weapons (lost rpgs, etc. Due to rdm)? I'm curious how this would be executed.

This should answer your question, there will be no claim function on the other printer. I'm curious though Bizzy, will these lower tier printers be able to simply be stolen in general? Or would raiders only be allowed to destroy these, especially since it's aimed for more low level people (and 2-3 levels yields nothing for the common person lvl 20+) I also think high ranking staff should possibly have a way to reverse it, in case some dude fail raids and just claims all of someone's printers, etc. Or can people take their own printers back and stop the countdown that way? The statement above also ties into this, but what stops someone from claiming printers before they finish a raid as well? Sure they might get a warn, but how do we then save that person's printers that are now going to explode in 2 hours.

I think Tdizz should get it based on my interactions with him through DarkRP staffing he does as well as rust. He shows a lot of maturity when needed, but also shows that he is human, not some sort of mysterious admin nobody gets to talk to unless they are in trouble. I think he could handle it, with Aidan being a possible second choice. Ask most of darkrp staff and they'll say Tdizz is a chill dude who gets shit done when he's online. Again I really would need to see the exact xp output for each to make a suggestion, however I would say 1 crack should have 4x the xp output power of 1 meth. The cost for crack currently is fair, especially if crack becomes something you use to level up, not gain money. I appreciate you having patience with me, I'm not entirely sure how all the values and systems work

Keep cracks money range (you can still make more with two meth stoves) and make 1 crack stove produce x4 the amount of xp 1 meth stove can make (or more) it sounds like a lot but that just means it makes 2x the amount 2 meth stoves would make. That way if people wanna focus on leveling they play crack and those who want money play meth I sort of thought about this for a while yesterday while I was heading to bed and this was an idea I came up with

I'm going off what a lot of people have told me, perhaps we could make crack give way more xp than the average amount of 2 meth stoves, but doesn't make as much money. I'd need specific numbers to know a buff amount

1 thing that bothers me is that now that crack is working nobody really uses it thanks to the fact they find meth after level 60 to be more profitable, well I've got a easy, logical fix for that! Description: At level 70-80 you are given access to a 2nd crack stove that costs a lot more much like the 2nd meth stove, and thanks to that are able to cook more crack. Reasoning: More people using crack would not only allow for more diversity in the market but It'd give more spaces for newer players to try out Meth Manufacturer. Currently very high level players still grind that out (if they are not just grinding printers) and that leaves some newer lower level players without a easier means to level up. The pros are very visible I believe.
