  1. Its a damn GMOD server dude you can't analogize that to robbing a gas station. Two very different things where one person makes someone else suffer, and another situation where someone just cheats in a video game. He didn't have that desire. From that statement thats how I know you don't really know the full situation behind it. Its not an apology, there was no "I'm sorry," it was a I learned from my mistake and I won't do it again, kinda reminiscent of other ban appeals, no? Cheating bans should never be accepted? Ok tell that to the cheater that got unbanned who also helped Garnet with an anti-cheat. People saying Simone and Pencil's case were different, but they both hacked at the end of the day, and only Garnet and Simone truly know what Simone helped with. Ok here's the bottom line, this argument ain't ever gonna stop. @Garnet I suggest you lock this post until you come to a decision, you and Simone are really the only ones that know the full story and I guess you told him to make the appeal.
  2. It says in his post that garnet literally told him to post an appeal.
  3. He said he learned from his mistake and he won't do it again, there was no "I'm sorry for hacking." No apology, just reasons why he should be unbanned. And plus, read the full thing.
  4. +1 Has high community rep(not on forums, but in the community with many people), and I may get cringe reacted for this, but to be fair, he only hacked for like two weeks for a reason that came out to be true. Sure, hacking is hacking, but he still deserves a ban removal imo. Plus he helped out garnet and the server in some specific ways (anti-cheat) when he was staff. And other people got unbanned for similar reasons, why should Simone be treated differently?
  5. Well probably only by people who are too much of pussies to confront you themselves sitting in their ts channel with a ring of friends, but who really cares abut being crap talked by those type of people tbh. A higher player count may not save anything, but it sure will help. Its better to see more players on everyday. We never said that reserves was the solution for solving player counts and keeping people on the server because it shouldn't be. You said it yourself, they promote old players to hop on. They also give someone a reason to keep playing after resignation. I'm all for the rest of the stuff you said (gun balancing and activities to do during war). Point one: What is so bad about not wanting to play as an enlisted in an entry faction? When someone put in all the time to get up to officer or faction leader, I think that they deserve a title, and if they abuse that title by being assholes and thinking that they're superior to other players, staff and faction leaders can get involved. Point two: Make reserves have no power at all. When I first hopped on the server and even up until last year I did not really like the fact that reserves ranks could do things like call DB or raids. I'd be all for not giving them power. You're never going to stop arrogance on this server for someone being on a SOC faction, its just human nature for someone to think he/she is better because they are in a higher position, even if they had a higher position. Second of all, faction leaders should always reserve the right to remove someones reserves for this or for anything. Staff can always get involved. (Its pretty stupid how people got their reserves back after you removed them imo).
  6. I never said your -1 is less valuable than my +1. They are both completely equal. But what is not equal, is your -1 and the vocal minority's -1s, compared to the countless and vastly outnumbering +1s and the people who want reserves back on the server. This can easily be fixed by a faction leader only allowing people to switch when the other side is outnumbered. Thats what I did when I was GRU COL. And this issue is kind of already fixed because you need staff permission to switch sides during war.
  7. Fine, fair point, you're right in the argument that people who don't play still can have a voice, but focusing on the topic at hand, you state that the system is archaic and is prone to abuse and redundancy. This system was completely fine and favored before. People spent weeks and months to get their reserves ranks, and just because the server has been around for a long time, many people had reserves and thats why its chaotic, its a sign of success, not a sign of bad server rules. It has the potential to bring back more players and keep players playing. If reserves comes back, I'd have more of a reason to come back instead of starting over from scratch. The previous reserves system really did no harm and like I said, brought back players. There have been moments where a person comes back on the server, has his reserves rank, is told reserves are removed and told to change his name, and hops off a couple minutes later to never be seen again. Those could have been active players today if reserves were not removed. And you said it yourself "the community favors," the majority of players want it back, whether its broken or not, and higher staff should listen to the larger consensus and opinions of the community instead of the highly vocal minority, but regardless, this has not been happening. Here is the bottom line, sure you have an opinion and can have a voice, but your voice should not outweigh the voices of the many people who have +1ed this suggestion and the many more people who want reserves back. But sadly, it already has.
  8. Why is it bad? You're acting like there is something expected from people to do in between wars if they're enlisted, or even officer. Things are rarely expected from officers aside from the sims or tryouts once in a while. Maybe raids sometimes, but thats even more rare. The only times I've had fun in between wars is memeing with friends on the server, doing sims, and sometimes doing tryouts. And some of those rarely happen if an officer is not there. You know how to get more officers on? Give old players officer reserves! Does it affect the server negatively? No, it instead contributes to player counts. Does it affect the faction negatively? No, it instead contributes to faction player counts. So again, why would it be bad? And if there is a situation where it would be affecting the server/faction negatively, faction leaders reserve the right to remove reserves whenever they want to. And again why do you care and why does it matter? If you care and you're a faction leader, you can remove someone's reserves. How does it affect new players as well as other factions negatively? Elaborate. Put yourself in a faction leader's shoes, they've lead a faction for one month or a couple, and they have absolutely nothing to show for it. So you're saying a faction leader does not deserve compensation, the very least being able to hop on his/her faction's whitelists, for dedicating that much time on the server and faction? Does that sound fair to you? Does all a faction leader deserve is a "Former GRU COL" or "Former 2GA Marshal" on their forums signature? None of any of these "anti-reserves" arguments have proven how reserves affect the server negatively, because there really aren't any good arguments for removing them.
  9. No there is a good reason, whether you like it or not they did put in that time to get their reserves rank. It takes weeks to get up to higher enlisted and a month+ to get to officer. And even if there was no good reason, the same four people on reserves does not have a bad reason either. It neither affects the server negatively nor the faction negatively, every time someone brings this up, I always ask, why do you care? This post has been +1ed by most viewers and is supported by most if not all faction leaders, its been -1ed by mostly a group of people who don't even play MRP anymore. Edit: Ha, whaddya know, three disagrees from people who don't play MRP anymore.
  10. +1 Mostly everyone wants reserves back, look at how many +1s we got on this post and the previous ones. I don't even understand the big fixation about "abusing" reserves. Why do you care if they just hop around factions? Its a GMOD server, and if that is their way to have fun on it leave them be. It does not contribute to anything negative, and only brings up player counts on such factions being played on and the server as a whole. Again, why do you care about this? It does not affect the server negatively nor the faction negatively. This honestly is such a specific case that I have rarely seen it happen. You're acting like one person leaving can completely destroy a faction, and sorry but no, one person leaving a faction is not going to entirely screw over your country, unless you're something like second IC or faction leader, and if they are at that level and want to leave, they absolutely deserve reserves(unless specific circumstances such as ban or something). When I lead GRU, many people left and joined. One person joined and literally after one hour he left. It didn't screw over my faction, it was just a person leaving. Sure it was one person less, but if a faction leader is a good faction leader he/she would know how to focus on solutions. And if one person puts enough time to get up to a higher enlisted rank, or an officer rank, I doubt he'd be screwing over the faction. I left higher enlisted when I was part of PDSS and I did not screw over my faction at all, but the effort that I put in before it is what defined my time on the faction. I don't really understand this point. Why does it matter if someone on reserves destroys people in tryouts? Maybe the person trying out isn't wanted in the faction? This point really does not make sense. Please elaborate.
  11. +1 Clips were not even that sus and broken had 250+ ping spectating, therefore, clips were not even that reliable in the first place.
  12. We knew you were hacking because a dude that hops on initally with 50+ hours starts killing people in SOC with an m1911 hitting countless headshots justifying yourself by saying a couple times in OOC that "the M1911 is OP" and then moves on after 1 or 2 hundred hours to not miss any sniper shot with an M14 and Mosin is sus af. Stating that my post "has contradictions and fallacies" is false because your activity in general on the server was very suspicious and did not really require evidence to come up with a conclusion. Literally every time we saw either D Rose or Aidan change their name and jobs to spectate someone (probably you) your name magically disappears from the killfeed and you stop getting kills or you have to "go afk." We did not have evidence because this type of evidence is not accepted because its considered situational and situational evidence is not seen as credible/reliable evidence by staff. Plus, you at first say that you had go to afk in your original post after Zephyr started saying that you had hacks, but now you're saying you did not want to respond because you did not want to give people the reaction they wanted? When Zephyr was in our TS he told us countless sus things that you were doing like having your gun on safety when no one was in an area and immediately taking it off when someone was approaching. Nice try trying to repeat what I said saying "your post has contradictions and fallacies." It isn't a contradiction or a fallacy to value common sense when coming up with a judgement on whether someone is hacking or not.
  13. -1 What are you trying to prove dude everyone and their mothers on the server knew you were hacking, we just did not have the evidence for staff. In your post, you literally puss out after every time someone brings up the topic of your hacks. You were asked to stream your screen and you got off. Why didn't you stream your screen? This was not even the first time you "had to go AFK" after everytime someone brang up the topic of your hacks in OOC. It happened before and you "went afk" before as well. Before Finger spoke in OOC about your hacks, you were fairly active in OOC typing responses to people. Have some balls and stop trying to escape from the reality that you hacked. Your post itself has contradictions and fallacies.
  14. Can you guys stop saying welcome to SWRP. I hate Star Wars. @Lark I'll still be hopping in TS, so we probably will.
  15. Had lots of fun, I may come back in 1-3 months depending if the server situation gets better or not. There is just so much toxicity in the community that everyone just forgets its a damn GMOD server. Back on 2016 when I first joined I never thought it would become what it was today. Everyone respected each other back then, there was toxicity, but it was nowhere near how bad it is today. You guys need to stop talking behind each others backs. Its ok to express your opinion on someone, but just trash talking to your circle of friends on TS is just going to make this server even more disrespectful than it already is. That is what has been happening. I am an RU main, and everytime I join US channel it feels like everyone has a grudge against me. I ask questions or make callouts, and its dead silent. Although I do not know many people on US I do not doubt that loads of negative things have been said about me and my faction behind my back. I ask myself why do I still play on a server in which the people are not respectful, they cannot sympathize, and do not have sonder. It is a GMOD server, stop dissing people behind their backs, meet someone before accepting someone else's judgements. I'm not even going to get started on how server leadership is not listening to the community. When I saw the suggestion which was overwhelmingly +1 on the topic of reserves get denied, I lose hope. @Kruger Everyone crap talked you, and my opinion of you got worse because of it, but when I met you we became good friends. @Duglas You cannot imagine how much crap people on RU say about you and I've talked to you and you're one of the most chill people I have talked to on the server. @Bleach You say what you say straight to someone's face and although we differ on other subjects, I respect you for it. You're toxic, but not cowardly I hide in my own channel and talk crap toxic. Well thats what I have to say. Its still a GMOD server guys. You do not need to judge everything about everyone. People get on to have fun. CSC Desert community was spectacular because it was not this bad. Everyone was chill(or that is what I remember), everyone had respect. I do not feel the same respect on the server. I feel there is little respect towards each other in general. I cannot @ all of GRU because there is alot of you, and I'm proud to say that, go kill some Americans guys. @Hysteria I have faith in you, I know you can make a great faction. @Pencil In my fairly limited interaction with you, I'm happy that you are the last person to join GRU in my reign. Do not hacker again! Remember guys, its a GMOD server, have fun. Don't crap talk everyone else please. @br0ken @Lark @VBSA I aint gonna forget the middle eastern gang. Y'all are legends. Well, I may be back in some time, I may not be, but it was fun to be on the server. The most fun I had was when I first joined PDSS on the server, but sadly many of the old frogmen left . Thanks for who were my friends on the server. (I will still be hoppin in TS tho)
  16. I was literally just about to make this suggestion, +1. Literally everyone I talk to supports this. Reserves are crucial. Brings players back. A PDSS ENSR hopped on the other day, we told him reserves removed, he left a couple minutes later. There are probably many cases of this. Bring them back, we all love them. There is no reason someone who has put in plenty of time in a faction should have nothing to show off for it. Enlisted reserves included. Not just officers.
  17. Taiga V3 is unanimously thought of as a good map, I have never talked to anyone with negative opinions about it. And on the couple days I played it it seemed well optimized. And as Lala said, if it turns into a bad decision, you can just switch to Chaharikar.
  18. Thanks for being in GRU man. Holy crap was it fun seeing you using RPG and stabbing people in the river though. GRU will always miss you dude
  19. Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:178324575 Weapon Choice: M3 Super 90 Your Favorite Gun on MW: AK-47
  20. +1 if the Orsis won't get nerfed. -1 if the Orsis will get nerfed to 80 damage.
  21. +1 the fucking gun is AIDS, I'd rather have the OP AEK
  22. Description: I think that we should either remove or fix search and destroy in war because its literally broken on this map(I prefer remove). It sucks when it is voted for and we actually have to play a broken war mode that doesn't work on this map. And when enlisted who just get on the server that don't know any better vote for it, its worse for everyone. Reasoning: This would make the server better because then it would be less broken and more fun, whats the point of a war mode that doesn't work? It makes the experience better for everyone.
