shrimp 764
Howdy, I've been cooking a lot more while being stuck away from home for the holidays, and I could use some more not-so-basic but not super difficult food recipes to cook for myself and my girlfriend. Share your recipes, I'll share some of mine. Quote Tonight I'm gonna cook some Spanish Chicken & Rice. Super simple recipe. What you'll need is: 1lb of Chicken (breast or cutlet). 1 Green Bell Pepper. 1 Red Bell Pepper. 1 Garlic bulb. 1 Lime. 1 Serrano Pepper. (Optional) 1 Yellow Onion. 2 bags of Uncle Ben's Ready Rice (It's good for this, trust me). Cilantro and Green Onions. (Optional) Salt & Pepper. Preparation: Dice the chicken into small, bite-sized cubes or pieces. Season to preference. Cut up the produce into the amount and size you prefer. Oil up and cook the chicken at a high temp until it's cooked all the way through and starting to brown. Add in vegetables. Add in rice and lime when it's about done. Stir in rice in the pan for it to soak up the flavor. enjoy. Thanks, give me recipes and I'll probably make it and post it here if it comes out good. Link to comment
Jake 933
Ingredients 2 duck breast with skin/fat on top Potatoes whatever the fuck you want to make gravy with Instructions lightly score the fat/skin (1mm cut, 3 - 4 along the strip of fat, to release juices) seal it in a medium-hot pan oven bake at 200c for 15-20 minutes use fat and juices from duck sealing to create gravy, maybe use cranberry if you want either roast potatoes in duck fat or boil and mash with butter, oil, milk and cream to create smooth mash serve duck with gravy and mashIngredients 2 pheasant breast minimum 6 rashers of thick cut back bacon Instructions Wrap the bacon around the pheasant breast ensuring all areas are covered bake at 175c for 20-25 minutes eat Btw, the bacon prevents the pheasant from drying out as it doesn't really have any fat, it also draws in flavour from the bacon creating an insane taste. Imagine pigs in blankets but with a much more classey meat. Obviously these recipes require some hard to get meats, im fortunate enough to be able to just shoot it myself however any proper local butcher should have similar meats. Link to comment

Jake 933
Keeping on track with things that die to bullets rather than machine operated blades, some boar/hog and deer stuff. Bear in mind neither meat is cheap, best to "obtain" yourself.Ingredients Venison Rump Steak/Backstrap Olive Oil Potatoes Basic herbs/seasoningInstructions Place desired amount of potatoes in pot Fill with water until barely covering all potatoes Bring to boil and wait for 2 minutes Start to heat a frying pan/skillet to medium-high Season steak with olive oil, salt, pepper etc Place the steak onto the pan, following instructions dependant on size, weight and type Pour fat, juice, oil etc into oven dish Place potatoes in dish Roast potatoes at 200c or 180c if fan oven for 15 minutes Rest steak for 15 minutes (should still be warm) Take potatoes out and serve, best with a glass or 12 of WhiskyIngredients One or two Boar chops However many potatoes as you want Frying oil Seasoning/salt/pepper etc Olive oilInstructions Preheat oven to 230-250c Cut potatoes into thick cut chips (thick fries I guess?) Bring pot of water to boil while oven is heating Put chips in boiling water for 2-3 minutes Drain well Season chips Cover chips in oil and put in oven for 10 minutes Season Boar chop with Olive oil, pepper, salt and herbs if available At this point, follow cooking instructions on Boar chop as they vary greatly depending on the animal and size of the cut After the 10 minutes for the chips has elapsed, take them out and turn them over and put in for another 10 minutes After the next 10 minutes has elapsed take the chips out and let them rest to drain frying oil Deal with Boar chop accordlingly, allowing to rest for at least 5 minutes. Serve with copious amounts of Whisky or Gin Link to comment
