Warn Reason: Fading Door abuse
What happened? (include any proof): I was being raided as I entered my base using a quick key, not realizing a raid advert was placed on me. Full perspective can be found here -- (sorry about the racist micspammer): https://streamable.com/53am8s

Why should your warn be removed?: So let me first preface by saying that a raid advertisement was issued just PRIOR to me returning to my base. That, along with the fact that I was collecting my money and storing my gun in my inventory upon returning (which I typically do when I come back to my base), makes it an uphill battle and appear like I was stalling. I get that, and won't be surprised if this gets denied. I'm not appealing the fact that I was being raided PRIOR to me using my key binds to get into my base, I'm appealing based on the following:

Quote

You may not use key binds to fade and unfade fading doors during an RP situation.

  • Example: Fading the entrance of your base with a keybind while running from someone mugging you.

The rules for a fading door during an RP situation suggest that you cannot have RP intent, and that using a fading door otherwise is permitted. I don't believe my intent was of an RP nature (to avoid my raider) and thus I don't believe my warn was correct. Had I been given time to hear him and then look at my VOD, I would have reacted to what I saw. Instead, I was placed into a sit within 2 minutes of this occurring, and didn't get to explain that to the admin who issued the punishment.

When I returned to my base, I was under the belief Thomas saw me returning and issued a raid in response, which is why I continued with collecting my money and storing my sniper believing I had done nothing wrong. I kept asking repeatedly what did I do wrong, but perhaps my monotonic voice and stoic nature makes it sound like I was being condescending and playing dumb to stall. I wasn't. Had I been given time to hear Thomas's accusation and then checked back on the VOD above, I would have retracted my actions and left my base. Instead, I was brought into a sit within 2 minutes only to get clarity after the sit began.

Again, I realize that I entered my base AFTER he called for a raid, and I admit I shouldn't have used my key binds after seeing that fact. I would have responded had I known I did that. But I don't believe my actions were of an abusive intent as an FDA infringement calls for, and I don't believe my concern or argument above was given enough credence by the staff member issuing the warn. So I wanted to make this report in order to, at the very least, make my case.

Thanks!

I was the one that reported you for it

- what happened was I adverted Raid, I saw you in the distance, I shot you and then you went inside your building, there was 6 Seconds from when I adverted Raid and you going inside your base

here is the video( my pov) - https://streamable.com/dzytpm

your POV - https://streamable.com/rajdk5

- You claimed in the Sit that you were not aware that you were being raided, you also said that you were full aware of the FDA rule, BUT you claimed that you didn't Know what FDA was when I told you that you FDA'd during the raid, you said" if you tell me what FDA is ill go outside"

- Even if you were not aware of you being raided( which you claimed you were not aware in the sit) , its still FDA, just like Consensual RDM is Still considered RDM

in this video ( https://streamable.com/53am8s ) It shows how you collected your guns, and your money printer money, this basically shows you were full aware of you FDA and all you wanted to do was not get raided

I linked my full POV in the link under "What happened." Again, my report is not based on entering my base immediately after you advertising raid, I acknowledge that. My report is based on whether my intent qualifies as FDA -- I don't believe it did.

And I disagree on your bolded point, since the action depends on the qualifier of "during an RP situation." I was not using a fading door to avoid you, and would otherwise be allowed to if it were not a raid (at least so I am told). A consensual RDM wouldn't be allowed under any sort of context

Doesn't matter If your intent was to Avoid me or not, its not my fault you weren't paying attention to chat, I adverted raid, saw you, shot you. and you stayed In there for a Fat 1 Minute when I clearly told you that if you didn't come out, I would report you,

Intent absolutely matters because the rule is all about avoiding a RP situation, and that's why I wanted to raise my concern/question here. If quickdoors are not allowed, then that's a different story and I agree -- punishment deserved and I'll learn from this. But your rationale would mean any quickdoor could be easily be turned into FDA. I could report anyone returning to their base if I manage to type /advert raid just before they make it inside using a quickdoor.

Would the FDA trigger when you type /advert raid, or when I see you did? If it's the former, then I see an easy way to get people in trouble.
