Why should we choose you over other applicants? [minimum 2 paragraphs]

I've been around for a while, being with SWRP since it's albeit recent creation, and the garnet community as a whole since ~2020. In that time, I've played all the servers and swrp has been the most enjoyable for me. I've dipped my toes into the pool of GM'ing with some DND sessions as well I've lead a few successful (and a few unsuccessful) physical campaigns with friends and family. I've seen game masters in action and I want to help the server and it's player base grow through a few methods I'll list in it's appropriate section.

If I were to be made a Gamemaster, the server will see more on world events. In these events, I would focus on the more neglected parts or the server's RP side such as certifications that aren't medic, more breaching/FOB setup for 327th, vehicle usage in general, EOD, and hostage negotiations. These events will include more complicated operations, and more unique warfare from them such as sniper assassinations, intuitive break ins, and hostage taking.

Have you ever been banned or punished on any server? If so, Include details.

No

How much time do you have to contribute to the role?:

I will meet whatever requirement there is to my fullest capability

In your own words, what  are the responsibilities of a Gamemaster?:

A Gamemaster interacts with the player base in two main ways. 1. Events. Gamemasters host events each day, which is what most players keep logging on for. Gamemasters ultimately help the server stay alive and populated, so hosting fun and unique events and big off worlds is a requirement. The second way is 2. More general assistance. I personally, only interact with gamemasters out of events if asking them to assist with something. Gamemasters have permissions normal players don't, so normal players need Gamemasters to spawn in props, NPC's, and others. Gamemasters should always be available to help with tryouts and trainings, because these passive RP scenarios also keep players coming. Gamemasters keep the server alive as their responsibility, so a Gamemaster has to always host events and assist where required.

Describe how you would contribute to RP as a part of the Gamemaster team:

Utilizing the often overlooked parts of the server and it's functions to create unique, varied, and complicated events.

Explain your single most creative idea for contributing to the RP environment of the server:

As I've said before, lack of representation for battalions is an issue. If I were to become GM, my events would give each battalion a purpose. Of course, not every event can lean into every battalion's specific roles (41st, 327th, 21st, 104th, etc all doing their battalion specific thing in a single event isn't impossible but it adds complication and restricts the possibilities of events by forcing them to include every single type of RP) but over all, battalions would be given time to shine much more often and will be utilized more according to their role then would be otherwise.

(Note: just saw Reo's application and our creative idea is mostly the same)

Please list and explain 5 unique event ideas of any scale: [Be sure to include any additional context that may be necessary to your explanation]

Event 1:

Coruscant Coruscating

The 34th Battle Group is called to the Republic planet of Coruscant to assist with matters relating to General Grevious. The only information known is that his fleet has gotten dangerously close to the planet, and a strange influence has spread across the capital. The clones must investigate around the planet, and find out clues to what exactly General Grevious is planning.

While on planet, the clones with assistance from their Mandalorian allies eventually stumble upon what appears to be janitorial droids acting strangely. When followed, they attempt to escape the clones. The janitorial droids are actually I/D Droids (Infiltrator/Demolition) at Grevious's disposal. The I/D Droids attempt to destroy a bank critical to a rival of the InterGalactic Banking Clan, a vast network of trading secretly controlled by the CIS. The 34th Battle Group must stop these droids from destroying the bank and ensuring further domination of the CIS over the galaxy.

The I/D Droids, when engaged, morph into their combat forms and fight the 34th Battle Group off while breaching the bank. Once inside, they combine into their bomb form, and rig to blow. EOD has to rush in and defuse the explosives with a strict timer, before the InterGalactic Banking Clan ensures a key victory over the galaxy.

After defusing and preventing detonation of the bank, General Grevious decides a more direct route. CIS Ground Forces spring from the sewers of Coruscant, after being smuggled inside. Droidika's and Magma Guards are sent in to clean up the operation, plant a bomb, and detonate it at any cost necessary. The 34th Battle Group must defeat Grevious's forces and protect the bank.

Once the CIS Ground Forces are defeated, the only thing left is to attack Grevious while he is still deep within Republic territory. The 34th Battle Group takes to the skies among the Venator, to engage Grevious's Fleet and strike at the heart of the CIS army. On board the Venator, one of Grevious's fleet ships has a busted hyper drive, and the 34th Battle Group takes over the ship to track where Grevious and his fleet has jumped to.

On one of the consoles, it is found that the ship was meant to warp to a few planets, ultimately the lush planet of Raxus, the CIS capital. The Venator on it's own won't be able to pursue into such deep CIS territory, so they are forced to stop their pursue and return to their stations at Anaxes.

Event 2:

Job Half Done

Problem:

The 34th Battle Group is tipped off about a new branch of factories being built on Geonosis, so they move in to destroy the factory and delay CIS reinforcements. Once on the planet, the 41st scouts out the factory while ground forces move in to destroy the CIS construction bots. While doing so however, CIS battle droids are drop podded onto their location! The 34th Battle Group has to escape the factory, but while leaving they find a recorded message of Count Dooku ordering drop pods to be dropped on the half constructed factory!. When they make it out they notice several CIS ships in the sky, and the ships start engaging the clones.

Solution:

Run back to the Venator, and escape!

Event 3:

Coruscant Catastrophe

Problem:

The 34th Battle Group is sent back to Coruscant in order to investigate and potentially eliminate a terrorist anarchy group. While on the planet, CG with assistance from SOB investigates and eventually figures out from a defectee that the terrorist group plans to attack a well known bar while a local politician is meeting with his council, and take them hostage. The 34th Battle Group makes their way over to the bar but is too late as the terrorist group has already made their move, and taken the politician hostage.

Solution:

104th (and CG) attempt to negotiate with the terrorists.

Problem 2:

While negotiating, a Navy is captured and used as leverage to make the 34th Battle Group leave.

Solution:

Prevent the capture of the Navy (the EC's will NOT be given high amounts of health) OR open second negotiations.

Problem 3:

While all of this is happening, wide spread support from the lower class causes an uprising, with citizens attacking the 34th Battle Group.

(NOTE: to make things not too complicated, this will only happen if the attempt to capture the navy crewman failed)

Solution:

Successfully negotiate the release of the local politician, kill any left over members of the Terrorist organization, and leave the problem with the citizens to the locals.

Event 4:

Spelunking

Problem:

A devastated local in the area tips the 34th Battle Group off about recent CIS occupation of a village and mining operations in a cave near the village. The 34th Battle Group must head out to the village, clear the CIS presence, and stop the mining operation.

Solution:

Two squads, one retakes the village and the other breaches deep into the caves.

Problem 2:

Inside the caves are a variety of droids, including a Droidika. The clones will have to fight tooth and nail to gain ground, until ultimately meeting face to face with an apprentice dark force user assigned to handle the operation.

Solution:

Jedi engage the dark force user while the clones prevent any droids from attacking the jedi.

Problem 3:

Once the dark force user dies, gas bombs hidden on the entrance of the cave rig to blow, trapping the forces inside to slowly suffocate.

Solution:

EOD attend and defuse the explosives OR Jedi use the force to keep the gas at bay while the clones escape.

Event 5:

It's Treason

Problem:

A senator from Coruscant is visiting Anaxes base to ensure the admiral is handling the base properly. While on base, a beeping noise is emitting from inside the senator's stomach.

Solution:

Medical teams take him under surgery and pull the device out, and then EOD examines the device.

Problem 2:

It's not just a bomb, it's a diversion. A CIS spy has breached the base, and attached disguised explosives to the senator's ship while the EOD team was distracted. If not caught, the senator will get on his ship and start flying away before exploding, killing him and any crew on board.

Solution:

Catch the CIS spy and defuse the explosives, or launch investigation afterwards.

+ 1 Give this man a chance at least , he’s applied like 3 times now .

Yesss +1 Indeed
This guy Festive knows what it's like to be the little guy, and as GM, I believe he will offer more people a chance to serve a purpose. As the Lead of EOD and as CG, he knows what it's like to be overlooked. I'm sure he wouldn't want that for anyone. He would make a fun addition to the GM team! ❤️

He has  been a great addition to the CG since he has joined. I have had no issues with him and he has taken on his leadership role very well. In addition I have seen this man personally try to build up EOD as best as he can. He has real dedication to trying to make this server a success.
