I don't know you too much but from reading your application and seeing what others are commenting I feel giving you a shot at staff is fair. You seem to carry a level head and genuinely care about the server. Being staff carries a lot of responsibility, professionalism and a good head on your shoulders. Seeing you have a good amount of experience, I doubt you'll have a problem with balancing those traits.
