Allowing ANP/MP to deploy during war

 INTRODUCTION

As it may be known, MP and ANP have been having bad inactivity, ANP being non-existent at this point. The underlying issue to this inactivity is because it isn’t enjoyable to play. You have to rely on someone actually doing something bad IN Base or pray that an event happens that involves IN base. And having to rely on these makes someone question “Is it even worth playing?”  as either most people AFK during peacetime or looking forward to an event that isn’t going to happen. Players that actually want to play these classes and have fun shouldn’t be confined to one place for one hour just for nothing to happen and then hop off. Allowing ANP and MP to participate in war offers more options to the class other than being seen as an “asshole” who just cuffs people and ruins fun. It is also to be said that MPs are also support units; enable logistics combat element operations by providing maneuver and mobility support, route reconnaissance, and support to rear area operations and by removing displaced civilians from MSRs.


 

                        SUGGESTION                                                            

 

The idea of allowing MP and ANP participation in war as follows : If the objective(s) have been fully captured by friendlies, MP/ANP officials would be allowed to set post on that OBJ to defend and give callouts, they won't be directly in combat, but will have a higher chance of having action. They may also be dispatched to key points of the maps that Commissioned Officers have deemed important and take control/defend if requested. MP/ANP may also transport units if they have the ability to transport. With this also comes another option, route reconnaissance, they’ll be able to scout ahead or watch for flankers. This will allow them to have more responsibility and importance. 

 

RULES

 

The rules : No Cuffs will be used | They may only fire upon adversaries clearly approaching the OBJ, snipers/ambush units setting positions around the OBJ, Being shot at, or providing covering fire for friendlies being attacked around the OBJ they are stationed at. | Only may heal at the OBJ they are stationed at during war time or at Base, healing priority list :  ANP/MP → SUPPORT UNITS → TIER DIVISIONS → EVERYONE ELSE. | During route reconnaissance they shouldn’t fire upon hostile troops unless fired/aimed at or if they are approaching the squad with weapons out. Route reconnaissance may request permission to sabotage a possible asset to the enemy, ex : Enemy position that contains a mortar  (Commissioned Officer only can grant).

	Reasoning: To give ANP/MP more reasons to play as well as get a spike of activity as this would provide these branches more options at disposal to do something more with their divisions.

This is the worst idea ever, allowing Military Police going into the midst of war can cause serious unfair advantages and complications with people maining a roleplay faction. A main factor is the speed boost that is given to MPs, it would ultimately get taken away due to obvious advantages, if you're given the permissions to go into combat. The REAL cause for these Military Police factions being so dead is not cause you aren't allowed in war, it's cause nobody wants to roleplay and get locked up in a jail cell for 5-30 minutes.

 

If you want to have an activity increase, it's better to have events hosted around MPs. Link up with a few gamemasters (or possibly LORE TEAM) to try to get events going.

First, currently in the server state we can barely fill up all of our core factions. If anything, this change would take from the already shrinking numbers from our current factions. This would have been considered if this suggestion received more support from the community, however the people who actively seek out and main MP spreads far and thin. It was created by Krim originally as a sub-faction, and allowing them to go into war would stray too far from its original purpose. The problem with MP doesn't lie in the fact that they cant go to war, its that currently there is no RP on the server. If there was RP, MP would serve a larger purpose for base security and intel RP.
