The Garnut Nutter 15,189 Posted June 12, 2018 The Garnut Share Posted June 12, 2018 Why are you asking for us to suggest you a CPU? not all CPUs are compatible with all systems, you need a specific chipset for each CPU. What chipset is your motherboard? Quote Link to comment

Motherboards are ridiculously overpriced, and you can find some AMD motherboards for half the price as Intel's. Personally, I would look into G4560 and h110m motherboard, you would likely find both for less than $100. The G4560 will allow you to play just about anything at near max settings, assuming you have a beefy enough GPU for the task. 1 Quote Link to comment
Me Me Big Boi 0
I have the i5 7600k with a gtx 1060. This is way too overkill for gmod. You'll be better off with the new ryzen processors with vega graphics if you're looking for cheap. Quote Link to comment
Crin {GG} 80
This is probably off topic, but is in the same mood. Is a GTX 970 “outdated” yet? Quote Link to comment
MoldyHotpocket 89
I run on an i3 2.3gHz and it's complete dog shit. Get and i5 or better, 3.3gHz at mininum, and it should at least be quad core as well. Quote Link to comment

It can almost only be acquired used (the rare new ones are expensive). From the right seller, it can be cheaper than a 1060-6GB, albeit a bit slower. ❤️Kitty_Miku_Chan❤ 9
I have a i5 7th Gen and a gtx 1070 6gb so my FPS skyrockets on gmod Quote Link to comment
