  1. In-game name: REEPER Age [minimum 15 y/o]: 20 SteamID (https://steamid.io/): STEAM_0:1:81678836 Warns: 0 in the menu Timezone: EST Playtime? [minimum 75 hours, use /playtime in-game]: Around 8.5k hours Do you have access to TeamSpeak and a microphone?: [YES/NO] I do have access to TS, no mic Do you have the ability to record Garry's Mod videos?:[YES/NO] Yes Referral(s): [What administrator recommended you to apply?] Ranger Past experiences as staff: [Optional] No How do you plan on benefiting our server? [minimum 2 paragraphs] I plan on benefiting the server by using the many years from being in the community for various reasons. Number one, throughout most if not all of my playtime I've only received a handful of warnings, in the warnings that I have received, I learned a lot about rules, new rules, for some reason unwritten rules (not in the MOTD). My second reason, since I don't have many warnings it doesn't take long to see that I know a lot of the guidelines to follow. With knowing the guidelines and rules, I tried and still try to help new players to know the basics and things not told in training for the server and their benefit. The third and last reason for this portion, as much as I don't like to take things into my own hands when it comes to staff-related issues. It does happen occasionally, for example, the other night around 3 AM or so, I was talking to an old friend of mine that recently came back. While talking, a group of Army started RDMing one other. Before things got out of hand, I decided to warn them about the consequences, they didn't listen and kept on RDMing, I then threatened to take their WL away. They still didn't listen, I did end up having to take the whitelists away from most of the privates to stop them. The main reason for the example is the event could have been avoided or stopped quicker if there was staff on to quickly rectify the situation. Another way for me to benefit the server is to be more involved, rather it's in TeamSpeak, Discord, or just on the forums. For the last several years the only way I've been involved is through officer positions and being friends with staff members, while both can make a difference, becoming part of the staff team can and hopefully will make more of a positive difference. In all situations, I try to make them fun and equal for every party, just as I would do with staff sits. So far I haven't heard complaints about me (that I've heard of), I believe I'm respectful to others and competent to do tasks to the best of my ability. Before I made this post I asked a few people for their opinions about my behavior and actions, so far I haven't heard any negative feedback. Thank you for taking the time to read my application. Have you ever been banned or punished on GG MRP? If so, Include details. I have once, it was appealed. The first ban was around 2 years ago late at night, A recruit was leaving the spawn room so I kept killing him, a short while later a mod looked at logs and seen my "Mass" which then a higher staff followed out the ban. The next or following day I was unbanned. Have you made any previous applications, If so when?: I made an application around 4 years ago (lol), I was CW3 in Army and was denied because of small paragraphs. How much time do you have to contribute to the role?: I'm mostly on between 5-12 PM EST, so about 7 hours give or take. Thank you for taking the time to read my application, any feedback, referrals, and responses are welcome!

  2. In-game name: Kaleka Age:17 SteamID ( STEAM_0:1:155850751 Warns: None Timezone: Central Playtime?: | Kaleka has played for 275:57:38. Do you have access to TeamSpeak and a microphone?: [YES/NO] Do you have the ability to record Garry's Mod videos?:[YES/NO] Referral(s): [What administrator recommended you to apply?] Ajbedhead, Kexciu, Toast, Triad, Stalin, Romac, Murph, Jack JJ Past experiences as staff: [Optional] N/A Why should we choose you over other applicants? [minimum 2 paragraphs] Why I think I should be picked over other applicants is because I spend a lot of time on this server, and I'm friends with a lot of staff and feel as if I know how to do it myself pretty well. Another reason is because I already love to help people on the server, especially new people. I try as much as I can to help new people build bases, raid, mug, etc. I like to help people because when I first started to play on GG I didn't know how to do anything, and people would always raid me and I had the worst first impression, but then I met Kexciu and he showed me the ropes. I started to really like the server and always wanted to achieve my goal of becoming staff, because I think I could be a very good staff member. If you know how to play on the server and know what you're doing then it makes the game a lot more fun, so I try as much as I can to help new people to have a great time on the server. I also feel as if I have a decent amount of time playing on the server and feel pretty confident in the rules and what I'm doing. I always hear about staff being stressed sometimes because there is a lot of sits and I would love to help keep the sits under control and just be another head there to help with sits and other things that need to be done. I would all around just love to help this server and community grow in any way that I possibly can. I am very mature when it comes to helping people out with the rules and when something needs to be enforced. I don't hold grudges over anything, I keep it very simple and handle things like a mature person. I have some experience with being a higher up in different things I've done before GMod and know how to be a role model for others very well. Another good reason is I am normally on late at night and early in the morning when there is usually no staff on which could really help out. I have just been looking for new things to do other than being just a normal GMod player on GG, and have been looking for something new to do, and I hear a lot of fun things about being staff, and most people I talked to said I would be pretty good at it so I decided to give it a try and I think everybody should get a chance at being staff. This is why I think I should be picked over other Applicants. Have you ever been banned or punished on any server? If so, Include details No Have you made any previous applications, If so when?: No How much time do you have to contribute to the role?: Monday-Friday 12pm-1am Sat-Sun 11am- 2am If you have any, what hobbies or activities are you involved in outside of Garry's Mod? Cars, Build Cars. Did you read the staff rules?: Kaleka

  3. This is STRICTLY false. Reporter always need proof excluding FW claim. In the loophole scenario, there would be no advert. Also logs do not show keypad cracking.
    2 points
  4. I disagree. If there's a raid advert without an over or a death prior to the cop killing the reporter, then it's case closed not RDM. If there was no raid advert, or was a death or an over advert, then the cop would need to submit proof that they didn't RDM IIRC. Pretty sure the "well the victim doesn't have proof that he wasn't inside the KOS line" argument isn't supposed to work. The burden of proof falls upon the killer in a situation. It would be the cop's fault if he wasn't recording/didn't take a screenshot of the person cracking/lockpicking. Also, the rules don't reflect what is enforced. There is NO rule saying that cops can't shoot evildoers. All we've got is staff making an arbitrary judgement that killing is inherently illegal(which, on the server, it is not). Civvies can counter and kill raiders. Cops can counter raiders, but have to arrest instead, according to staff; no rule states that! - I agree, depending on your definition of risk. What if the raider is in a door deep and it's literally impossible for the cop to arrest them? I think cops should be able to shoot first/ask questions later for raids, and primarily arrest for mugging/stealing(attempt to arrest unless you or another cop is shot first).
    2 points
  5. Ok so the reason that this is not allowed is because it a loophole similar to the "he was behind my kos line" loophole. All a cop has to say to MRDM is "he was raiding". Most players don't record, so just leaving this hole open is not a good idea.

  7. Seeing other people's responses to this app as a referral, Slim believe it or not, is not a as bad as he's put up to be in this app. In game he does have a level of maturity that some people aren't seeing. Slim has gone out of his way to help, teach, and provide assistance to new players. He may seem like a minge at first but if you get to play with him more you'll see he just likes having fun like most people on GG DarkRP. Saying this, I'm giving him a +1 and I'm hopeful to see him grow through the community.

  8. Your Nit picking and your wrong? This is austins forum signature? this guy didn't false report anything? and we all make mistake's dude, 1 warn in the past is nothing. it's something if its a repeated issue and he keeps breaking rules and being a bad overall player. tbh go neutral and wait for what people say. just my opinion

  9. AFK btw nah but fr like they said above you would make a great addition to the staff team. You know how the server works and have been here long enough to know how to act at this point (I hope). The only issue I ever had with you was activity, as you said yourself you wanted to become more active before I were to hand you SSO. Being as i cant get on much anymore due to personal reasons, I'm going to hope that you did increase activity as I'm not on anymore to see this. +1 Loser, Good luck

  10. +1 I feel as if he would make a decent staff, considering the amount of hours he has. I've worked in PDSS with Reeper for a decent time and also SSO for my short lived time. He has always been helpful and is a very chill person to be around too.

  11. +1 One of the most active members on RU, and his hours are astounding. I honestly thought he was already part of the staff team when I came back. I know he’ll make a great addition to the staff team! Good luck!

  12. +1 He has a great personality, and he has a shit ton of time on the server. He knows the server rules very well, and I have never had any problems with him. He is a great guy to talk to in teamspeak and is just generally a chill person. In my opinion he's perfect for staff. Hope to see you on the team!

  14. Description: Just like proggy said, I'd like to add a prestige assassin class (not called Assassin, but named after the model name just like Spiderman/Venom). The loadout for this class will include Climb SWEP 2, Keypad Cracker & Lockpick (VIP or non-VIP), Barret M82, and possibly a Tactical Insertion. The class will spawn with 100 health and 150 shield, and the number of people who can access this class will be 1/1 just like Spiderman/Venom. Reasoning: We need more classes for post-prestige. We could also use more hitman/assassin classes or additional slots for those classes. Additional Information: I chose these unrealistic models on purpose because I like the idea of post-prestige classes being unrealistic/superhero-esque such as Spiderman and Venom. These models don't only need to be used for an Assassin class. I'd like to see some of them used for other prestige classes as well if that's possible. I tried to aim for lower file-sizes, preferably under 2 MB. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1530051129 - Daredevil (This is my favourite one) https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=156921981 - Dementor (My second favourite one) https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1145156165 - Robocop (Very cool) https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1133887695 - Batman (This is kind of cool, but has a larger file-size of 3.6MB) https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2227901495 - Among Us Person (I like this model, but it's too unrealistic. It also has a file size of 2.9MB) https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1816763825 - Almost Invisible Man (I like this model too, but it's also too unrealistic) https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=322038989 - Tactical Insertion (It doesn't have to be the BO2 one. I just thought it could possibly be a cool addition that's only on this class just like how the spiderman swep is only on Venom and Spiderman)

  15. Pirate Hat Workshop Addon >>> https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=351194925 This is a cool hat that I think looks best on the skeleton player model but will still be cool with any player model (i hate the shark) and will provide a clean drip for anyone pursuing a career in sword fights and buried treasure. This specific pirate hat features a black matte color with a precious yellow trim all the way around; the front of the hat appears with a decal of a spooky stereotypical skull and crossing pirate swords. Get the whole clan outfitted with this top notch pirate hat before you go raiding to send a message As with all hats, it fits well to all standard models and cosmetically looks nice. Also, being a skeleton model with the damascus sword and this hat equipped would be an absolutely beautiful sight.

  16. Alright, so it'd always been the way of the Civil Protection life that if you see someone raiding, you blast 'em; if you see someone mugging, you blast 'em, Et cetera. Sometime between the time I was staff and when I started playing again recently, this changed. According to staff, the "You may not perform illegal activities" clause in the CP rules means you can't kill outright while countering illegal activities. Instead, you must arrest them. However, when you counter a raid on civilian(another class with a 'no illegal activities' clause), you get to use your bang sticks as much as you want! It would be awesome if we could get a rule added in the CP rule section that states you have to make an attempt to arrest an evildoer, and only if they shoot you may you use lethal force. Personally, I think it would make playing Civil Protection more fun if you could just blast people who are in the midst of a crime. I think it would fit the absurdity of the DarkRP genre much better than the current rule does. Let me lay out a situation: There's a thief raiding Johnny's gun shop. You, as a member of the Civil Protection, see that the thief is two fading doors into Johnny's defense and, because of the arrest-not-kill rule, are powerless to do anything while the thief ransacks Johnny's shop. Now Johnny is indebted to the mafia, as he can't pay off his loan. Now Johnny is going to get kneecapped and will have to do his business out of a wheelchair. How does that make you feel? Alright, I digress. The rule is a somewhat reasonable attempt to enforce arrests, but in my opinion it's impractical and not communicated well AT ALL. Seriously, cops on DarkRP can't kill raiders or muggers without them shooting first because of this rule. The resolution: Either make it clear that CP's are not allowed to shoot first in any situation, or let DarkRP be DarkRP.

  17. In-game name: Whu Age [minimum 15 y/o]: Currently 20 years old. SteamID (https://steamid.io/): STEAM_0:1:213782550 Warns: I have 0 warnings on the server. Timezone: EST+6 would be my timezone. Playtime? [minimum 75 hours, use /playtime in-game]: | GRU SGT Whu has played for 137:34:16. Do you have access to TeamSpeak and a microphone?: [YES/NO] Yes, definitely. Do you have the ability to record Garry's Mod videos?:[YES/NO] Yes, definitely. Referral(s): [What administrator recommended you to apply?] I currently have no referrals - not sure whether this is an actual requirement or just recommended. Past experiences as staff: [Optional] I have been staff on a lot of other games, but not on GMod. How do you plan on benefiting our server? [minimum 2 paragraphs] So, let's start off this little bible piece. John 15:13 "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends." I am pretty sure I can benefit this server in quite a lot of ways. First of all, I am very active on the server - giving me the chance to adhere to and enforce the rules that are so desperately needed on a server such like this at all times. Roleplay is the most important aspect of the MilitaryRP and the rules that come with it are vital for this server to actually be playable. A lot of times, minges and toxic people would want to troll around and mess up the playing experience for most of the players - this is where I can come to definite use. I am aware of the fact that I am currently somewhat new to the server, but I am pretty sure that I will be able to function within the position of T. Mod eventually as good as any other 'wellknown' face in the server. I will also be of great use to the current staffteam because of my maturity and professionalism. Once offered a spot within the staffteam, I will uphold the core values of a good staffmember at all times. Now, I can see you think: "All people say this in their application..", but I've actually put this to use in basically all of my other communities - I am not one of just words. In general, I will become an active staffmember who can truly be a face for the newer players on this server and generally a person who wants to improve on the player's experience for Garnet MRP. Core values such as professionalism, maturity and overall good behaviour can be expected of me and I am sure that I can deal with minges/trollish behaviour like no other. I will also always encourage people to make sure to stay in-character whenever possible, as this makes the experience that much better. Not only will I be a genuine face within the community - I will also act on behalf of the community. I can be found on Teamspeak nearly every day during my timezone's peak hours, which makes me a great ear for any eventual ideas or improvements that need to be brought up to any person responsible for the specific area where it needs to be improved. I think this is very important for a server with the size of the MRP, since players are basically the one's who are keeping it alive - it would make no sense to not listen to their desires and what not. Staffmembers are not only there to enforce rules, we need to improve the player's experience as well. Another reason I would definitely benefit the server is because of my timezone. It may sound weird and not really as a qualification, but as a European I can be online during the early hours for the US people. Making me a flexible staffmember and this would give the staffteam the ability to oversee the server even more efficiently. Even during the 'dead' periods of the day, staff presence can actually make a difference. Now onto my contributions towards the factions. A staffmember could actually benefit from having experiences within leadership positions within any of the factions we currently have - but I haven't been able to achieve this as of yet. Nonetheless do I feel like I can definitely be a bridge between the factions to make sure everyone is treated fair and square. This basically brings me back to my previous statements about my professionalism and definite maturity in this role once offered a spot within the Garnet MRP staffteam. Overall being an active part of the community, serving the members and generally being a guidance for newer players, I definitely believe that I can have a positive impact on how the server will be run if given the chance to serve as a T. Mod in the near future. Hopefully the community itself can see this as well and would give me a chance to actually prove it! Have you ever been banned or punished on GG MRP? If so, Include details: I have not. Have you made any previous applications, If so when?: I have not. How much time do you have to contribute to the role?: I can definitely spend around 6 to 7 hours each day to efficiently function as a staffmember on the server.

  19. My bad, I don't know why I thought it was the other way around. What are cops supposed to do, then, if they see someone raiding without an advert? It's a much more common thing than cops RDMing and saying that the victim was raiding a base. In fact, I've never personally dealt with or heard of such a situation. If the cop arrests the player instead of killing them, the situation/resolution is the same. No proof either way, but it's an arrest rather than a kill. Sure, the cop should report the player raiding without advert. But do you see cops checking the chat to see if someone adverted raid before taking action? Either way, the fact that there is no rule stating that cops can't outright kill those committing illegal activities still stands. Civilians can counter and kill, and cops can too(with the rules written how they are currently). Again, I think cops arresting more players rather than killing would be perfectly acceptable. I'm not out to play CP just because I want to kill people, I would play thief and raid random bases or packed gun shops to do that. I'm just saying, the staff enforces a nonexistent rule.

  28. Kaleka's a great player and a good friend towards pretty much everyone. He's also had leadership experience in other fields which he did very well in. He's a fast learner and won't miss a chance to help new players by basing with them or just teaching the fundamentals. He'll be a good part of the team and I know he'll do great in this field as well. +1 from me and confirming the referral.

  30. Gonna have to give this a +1, He's a great kid but yes he can be immature at times. But I can almost 100% Guarantee that this kid will be very mature as a staff and in sits. He knows the rules pretty well and can usually tell me what the rules are from time-to-time if I'm not completely positive about what I'm saying. This is why I believe this is a great kid and would be a great staff, I know this is coming from zeihy which isnt the best but everybody should hear me out.

  46. I asked specifically about this when I was told you can't shoot first. I was told, "the 'no illegal activities' rule includes killing." To me, it makes no sense as killing is not inherently illegal(see KOS signs and regular civilian counters). That's why I made this post.

  47. @OpTic Gunner This is the type of false report I mean. There is a screenshot with that message. Have you not seen the community feedback? It is overall negative. I can see why this is said as well. Lack of maturity. 0 forum activity. Just hopped on to see his staff app go through. I would like to hear from his referrals. However with no +1 feedback at all, I am 100% not going to +1 this. The moment I see a lack of maturity when it comes to official reports, then that's a problem. False reports are a case for a warn as well, lucky he didn't get one. It seems to me like this person is a minge, plus I haven't seen much of them myself, only a few times. They have no place in the staff team until they can prove that they DO have the maturity. Until then, it's a big ol' -1. Community feedback is important, especially with a screenshot proving this person isn't mature enough to become staff.
