  1. MRP players asking for a map and then whining about it a few days later, shocker. Reminds me of.. oh yeah CSCdesert Well, Delta is my personal favorite map to play. A ton of our playerbase genuinely wanted cscdesert back, and Delta was then based off of cscdesert, except... good? I don't know why you'd think it's a shitty map, you're saying an objective was "useless" but literally, we used to have a hole in the map (toxic pit) serve as an objective. Maybe you didn't like the layout of it? lol. Everything else you stated is indeed a matter of opinion, I know a ton of people who love Embassy and ATTC

  4. Aka the 5FPS objective, or dumb it down to the point where it looks like airstrip from chaharikar, not a good call. If you're going to get descriptive like that again, try to draw it out, because there's alot of room for interpretation. I'm not a big fan of the idea though, at all. A portion of the map is already done that way, so that's good.

The only reason it never happened is because Dio is too detail/aesthetic oriented, and the map project while being 25% complete, cost us like 90% more FPS than we can afford LOL I'm talking like 100FPS singleplayer on a 1080. I could not optimize the map with the way he was designing it, so I let it go and had him get started on delta. Not possible, we can just enforce base-camping rules. Rooftops Would rather not "have personal conversations" about a map, but rather just funnel suggestions on the forums. the only difference between the two would be a couple extra decals, gloomy lighting and destroyed car props instead of car props. Maybe fire here and there ..? Probably going to stick to just urban for performance.

  7. Fuck no, the entire idea is to keep all the training areas INSIDE that way you save the frames from all the heavy playermodels and scripted entities. DB would be on the surface as well as spawns.
  8. Well, it'd definitely be helpful if you read my post above. I need some help in designing a layout players would be happy with, and if people in the community contributed to a blueprint, I could knock out this map alot sooner.
  9. I will put CSCDesert to shame. I've never went full-out on a map like this. And this is why I love you. 300 IQ Really any walkable path that would lead to the other side, it could be rubbled where the wall got blown up, a simple walk-through tunnel. Can be alot of things, but at the end of the day, the map will be composed of multiple zones encompassed by a wall (like darkrp's downtown) and passages will serve as a shortcut which doesn't exist in downtown. There would be no way to acoomplish it any other way, we would need a couple buildings on the surface, with one building that would bring you underground. I'd love to try and implement it in a "REALISTIC" way but it's not really realistic to just have a full blown military base under a city, but fuck it. The idea is to have each objective with 4-8 entry points per side. Alot of tactical play will be involved in this one.
  10. I'm really not stressing myself with it, haven't mapped in a very long time now because I genuinely haven't had the time between all that updates, and it's refreshing. Underground with some passages to get inside other than the front gate would probably be the best way to go if we wanted the biggest bases imaginable and most detail/optimization. I can literally just make people go down a passage underground, and render the rest of the map out LOL
  11. @AwesomeAidan, @D_Rose, @Ting, and @Homast (tagging you guys because I talk to you most - whether be for good or bad reasons *cough* ting*coughcouighcoughsdasds* I would love if you guys went ahead and asked a couple of your buddies what you would like to see, and possibly help me in laying down a design you'd be happy with for this map so far, my plan (and it's very dumbed down) goes like so: I came up with it roughly when I started mapping, to allow for ALOT of things to do, and many different transportation routes between events, while accounting for optimization. Please ignore the fact that this is in paint, there's not a whole lot I can do when it comes to this, and it gets the job done LOL

Hey man, so yeah, it'll be a pain in the ass to design a layout, and it'll probably be changed 50 times because it'll be more along-side the style of RP_Downtown, otherwise players would get 5 fps. Bases would be a cluster of concrete structures in the city that were fenced off OR simply bring it underground, which i'm a fan of.
  13. Today, work started on RP_Garnet_Omega, one of the last maps we will have on our rotation (urban warfare) heavily influenced by COD and Insurgency. Lets see if years of primarily editing and optimizing maps paid off

Granted, our numbers aren't bad and are significantly higher than what is displayed, because during peak-times we are always on our event server with 10-20 more players, the past few days have been very rough on StarwarsRP. I can speak on me and Phantom's behalf that we dedicated ALOT of our free-time to this server and we would be incredibly thankful of some of you guys who are maining StarwarsRP would show it some more love. What he's trying to do (granted, I genuinely feel as though Vibe didn't write all of this, and had multiple people from his private Discord proof read it and add onto it) is convey that Buddha would be better of resigning from the servers and focusing on himself - furthermore, adding that his repeated behavioral problems make him a less than ideal manager for the DarkRP server. While I do recognize that the actions that took place on MilitaryRP in theory should not affect DarkRP, a manager should always keep a positive attitude and be a representative figure of the community, which Buddha failed to be. While again, I do understand where this post is coming from, it is over-reaching and not something that should be posted in the form of a report publicly. I had already spoke to Buddha about my views of his mental health and the fact that he's very close to a demotion due to those issues (literally, I quote myself "you need to change something if you emotionally depend on a Garry's Mod server to keep you happy"). He'd asked me to allow him to prove himself in the following upcoming month, and as such, my plans were to demote him down from the managerial role with the return of Proggy, and allow him to climb back up from the admin role, where he would not be taking as big of a role in the community. On the topic of mental health, alot of us have issues, hell, why the fuck would somebody like me be working on the servers for damn near 40 consecutive hours unless i'm trying to distract myselffrom something? as you've mentioned in your thread, with the quarantine situation, nearly everybody is affect and suffering in one way or another due to a lack of stimulation from the outside world, and we have to be mindful of the fact. For you to fucking think you're in the right place to start making your own analysis of somebody's mental health and bring your group of friends to strategically incriminate people who voice their opinions on the fact that it should not be a discussion is literally disgusting. You one of the biggest disappointments here, and to think I had invested so much time in creating new content for the community with you is super disappointing right now. This thread really helped me see past some of you people that I speak to everyday, and how disgusting your behaviors can be. Yes, I do think Buddha is a complete manipulative moron, and again, i'm not in the right place to write a statement about his mental health, however, I do GENUINELY believe he has a good heart, which I cannot say for some of you.   23. Update: all loot tables for our 2x servers have been re-worked to be far better than the old ones, thank you @Wasdin1 for your help. Update is concluded.
  24. Hey uhh, it's 9AM and I can't get any sleep, so I just pulled through and finished the map migration. All spawns are set up, vending machines and ammo crates are in place. I chose to go with the unique playstyle for this map of 5 objectives ; comms, company, factory, town, and construction.
