  1. -1 Halloween is an awesome opportunity for DJ's to play their best spooky jams, and any game music would only interfere with that. Plus, when there was loading music while joining the server, a lot of people complained that it was annoying, or that they were talking in VC while it was playing, leading to a substantial dip in population around the time unfortunately. Maybe set up a DJ booth on the Highstreet and get some tunes playing?
  2. -1 I think this is a really creative way to increase engagement community-wide, so on face value I like the idea. However it would be difficult to implement and most likely require a SA to manually check and then give every person the reward which is the main reason for my -1. On top of that, I think a lot of people tend to ignore incentives to join other things if they aren't already interested; if they are interested then they'll likely venture into the forums / TeamSpeak / other servers on their own. So good idea, but I don't think it will work in practice.
  3. It would be awesome if there were more posts in the SS thread, I have tons all in a folder named Garnet Memories and I'd imagine a lot of others do too! I uploaded a few from a while back, now that it's unarchived again. Great idea though, lets get it thriving
  4. Lets get this thread going again! Here's a few I found from some time ago....
  5. Neutral While the current rules don't specifically say "don't stand on the chess table", they do have broader terms such as "do not harass, grief, or troll players of the community" and "do not body block" which can be applied with common sense. I have taken reports for this exact situation, and generally a verbal warning is all that's needed, but it's certainly possible to go further with a warn or a jail of 3-6 minutes as per the D3A for anything not listed, if a verbal warning doesn't do the trick. With that said, if it makes the rules clearer then I'm not against the wording being adjusted as such but you're covered already as it stands.
  6. +1 I like the map you've made showing the current locations and it's interesting to see there aren't currently any in the industrial or suburbs areas as Wendoly said. I think it would be cool to add a few more in those locations perhaps, but as Proggy said, it's better closer to the action so to speak, to keep the map feeling lively, plus because it's a great way of earning good money as a new player, it's a good idea to have them spread throughout the map above-ground to encourage exploration and bumping into / meeting new people. Great suggestion though
  7. This update is genuinely awesome! I can't wait to get back on and check this out, the map with the backrooms system and pumpkin hat looks sweet! Also thank you Bizzy for fixing the tax system
  8. I know, that’s what I meant by a silly mistake. Flying into a base (which includes the PD) as staff on duty, without an active report is punishable. As I say, we all make silly mistakes, but what can truly set us apart is how we deal with them and move forwards. Dan’s a great guy and was a great staff member who made a small mistake. But I feel he was dealt with fairly, and it’s sad to see him go over something so silly.
  9. Im not going to throw you -1 reacts by any means because I think you’ve done some great work for sure and I’m sad to see you go, you’re a great guy. But it sounds like you made a small mistake of entering a base without a report just based on what you’ve said. Glorb is a DRP manager, not just a SWRP player, and a well respected one at that. If he set your job as a subtle reminder then I totally agree and he’s been lenient in fairness to you, we all make silly mistakes even with good intentions. I’ve messed up before too, I’ve been set to staff on duty a long time ago to help take reports where I wasn’t, and I’ve learned and progressed from it, and now do the same to others, not to be mean but so they learn the same lessons I once did. Don’t be put down, you’re still great and nobody will judge you by one small mistake mate. It’s awesome that you care and it’s a shame you’ve left over something so minor, if that’s all it was. But it’s your decision at the end of the day, and I just hope you’re doing ok and that things work out well for you
  10. I can totally relate to getting super busy all of a sudden, but I’m glad that things are going well for you outside of gaming mate You we’re a superb staff member and you’re sit counts were huge! Thank you for your time and hard work, and I really hope things go well with school, work, and your other pursuits. Hope to catch you around but all the best until then
  11. I’m not sure what happened, but I hope that things are ok mate. It’s sad to see you go, you were a great guy in the time I knew you. All the best and hope to see you around
  12. Sorry to hear your leaving the DRP team mate but it’s great that you’ll still be around You did some great work and helped keep our favourite DRP server awesome. I’ll be sure to catch you around, all the best until then
  13. Ahh Salteeens! It’s sad to see you leave mate, we became execs together and you were a top tier staff member! But I know how quickly life can get busy, I’m in the same boat currently. I hope to catch you around though for sure All the best in the meantime
  14. Neutral I’m not against the price being lowered, but I don’t think it’s very expensive as it currently stands. If I see someone selling hotdogs, I’ll buy one even at a large markup for the fun of it.
  15. Neutral While it would be cool to see some additional CC models, I personally don’t believe it’s worth adding additional download data. Although, if there was one specific model which wasn’t a large size and fitted in well then I might change my mind. I’ll stay neutral for now.
  16. +1 I like the reasons that you’ve given for wanting to join the team, plus you have a clean record and otherwise have made a decent application. I haven’t met you that I can recall, but you seem genuine and I don’t see any reason to deny you a change to help out on the team. I wish you the best of luck!
  17. I was playing with some ideas before I headed off to work away, there’s a ton of cool things and themes to do. Brilliant idea! Hopefully I’ll be able to get back soon and set something up, but if not, I can’t wait to see what others make
  18. This is brilliant! Lmao
  19. +1 Im guessing it’s just a bug, I’m pretty certain it was working before but makes sense to fix it, it’s a cool system
  20. Just to give my 2 cents, I might not be a player of SWRP but just going from my own experiences with DRP and CRP. I think we have a really good setup regarding the staff teams. I know it might be a little frustrating when there aren’t too many staff online, or perhaps with the GM work you mentioned, but the vast majority of staff volunteer their time passionately to help keep the servers population happy, and I think they do a good job of that. Now and then I’m sure there might be the odd member who you may have concerns with, but the managers (and Proggy and Garnet) have always been happy to help out and receptive to genuine issues, in fact it’s quite incredible how much time they all put into the servers really given they have lives to live too. You mentioned about the feedback forms for people to fill-in, and believe it or not I always fill one in monthly leading up to the promotions, even if I only have good things to say, and I do feel that the managers listen and take everyone’s thoughts on board. My biggest reason for sticking around on Garnet when I first found the server was the fact I felt it was run so well, with staff who cared and wanted to help people, who were unbiased with fair and transparent staff rosters and an appeal process. You can rest assured that spending 1000’s of hours in game won’t be lost to a rogue admin, because the structure is good. Again, this is my experience and views from DarkRP / CityRP

    Small cars

-1 Definitely not, I'd elaborate but it's been suggested before and I think the other comments have said enough already. CityRP has cars though?
  22. +1 You've got a fantastic application and I really like the reasons that you've given for wanting to join the team, with an emphasis on helping new players and being receptive to learning and evolving. You've got more than the minimum required hours so I don't see an issue with that by any means, plus you have two referrals from other staff members which is always great to see. You also have a clean record with no previous bans and no current warns which shows that you're of good character. While I don't recall having met you, I think you've done a superb job of conveying yourself well and have a solid application, and so I believe you'd be a welcome member of the team. I wish you the best of luck
  23. +1 I love this idea, and I think it could be fantastic in terms of RP potentials too! Straight away I'm picturing a Los Pollos Hermanos with a meth manufacturer cooking it up in the back. As Saul Goodman said "You're filthy drug money has been transformed into nice clean taxable income brought to you by a savvy investment in a thriving business". It also gives more reasons and opportunities for people to RP as a chef or bartender, which currently are lesser used classes but may find a great purpose if this was to be accepted.
  24. Congratulations to all those who've done a fantastic job this month keeping our favourite server fun and welcoming, it's been a long and hot summer but you guys have done an amazing job! I'd like to mention that I've not been as active as usual due to work, but I'm excited to catch up with everyone especially in my favourite time of the year... spooky season! A huge well done to our MVP's - Currently Baked, It's Dann, and Celestialius. You guys have some crazy sit counts, you should be super proud! A shoutout to Jaren The Big Memer who I've trained this month and has already getting promoted, it's great to see you settling in well and doing some top work! I'd like to say that we have a fantastic team of people here, the level of positivity has been genuinely amazing. We can all achieve anything we want to when we work together, and I'm excited and proud to see everyone having a great time while also helping the server, so that others can too. So well done to everyone and here's to another month, cheers
  25. Agreed with others, I think this is an awesome setup!
