  1. Could possibly delegate this to a Sub-batt for each entry so that they can have an MOS change. Would let them feel special even when the whitelist is full. Also would let you know if the class is just being handed out or too easy to get if you see like 20 people with the MOS. Just a thought to generate more RP with the additions. +1 to all suggested edits, though the SVT-40 is kind of ugly for GRU to have. Perhaps the SKS-D where its a DMR and not a full-auto mess like it was for frogmen.

    blooms came on for what 3 months, joined afsoc and basically led it for the most part, then cheats cause he's going away and essentially tarnishes it's entire reputation. Krimzin was what, not even in a faction, cheated because others were cheating, and prior to that had years of doing good things on the server? Their situations are not comparable. There also comes things of maturity, blooms being a grown man and knowing better, Krimzin essentially being peer pressured by those around him, etc. Honestly don't know what you're trying to say by quoting me.

    +1. This guy was caught up in the wrong group at the time and got sucked in to cheating with them. He's had genuine heart for the community and genuinely was someone who helped factions immensely when he cared. Honestly you weren't that toxic it was just the norm at the time. Best of luck.

  5. I like how this entire post has just been people with donors bashing a new guy. AK and AR-15 have slight statistical differences to make them each unique and different. AK has more firerate, a minuscule less amount of spread (0.4% less), and a much longer reload time. Now AK does have about 9 less percent recoil than the AR-15 (with optimal attachments) the firerate attachment essentially counteracts this as you end up pulling down more with that attachment anyway (more bullets=more recoil). While they aren't 100% statistically identical they each have their strengths and weaknesses with the same amount of shots needed to kill. If anything I would say to make it more balanced maybe add an attachment to the AR-15 to reduce recoil besides the silencer.
  6. Oh god where do I start. Jan 24 2019, your first perma which I had run by two executives at the time that both deemed it fit. In addition to the offenses committed you had essentially been blacklisted from every faction on US for being an outstanding minge. Accumulating Too Many Bans, all related to RDM incidents. Banned this account STEAM_0:1:175043386 . Jan 27 2019, second account had two previous RDM bans on this account, had a report put on the account for RDM+LTAP and was later found out to be his by Ethan, who then banned this account permanantly. Ban Evasion, multiple RDM bans. This account: STEAM_0:1:452178017 . June 10 2019, ban appeal for account mentioned in the previous date. Verdict was denied. Additionally with this brought to light, we saw that he had (if counting the report on him via forums) 5 RDM incidents that would or did result in bans. July 21 2019, ban appeal for the RailGunner account, cheating was the ban given by Ethan. Cheating ban, permanant. This account: STEAM_0:1:502210924 September 17 2019, ban appeal for the first account banned. Verdict was denied. Additionally this account would have no way of being unbanned outside of a ban-wipe considering his other account was banned permanently too. (At this point in time we did not know Rail was him). OCTOBER 23 2019, BAN WIPE So, ban wipe happens, Railgunner comes back to play and everything is well. He gets into a faction or something either way he gets banned again for mass on this steam:id STEAM_0:1:502210924. Couple days later, he ban evades on this account: STEAM_0:1:175043386 (the original Tyler Egry account) So in total, prior to ban wipe you had 3 PERMA banned accounts. 1 for accumulating bans, another for ban evasion and another for cheating. All 3 different reasons for permas. Then when you come back after all of that, you're given a final final last chance, you mass, then ban evade the mass which has led you to the current perma. -1.

  8. Gamma was someone I've known for 3 years now. Done a lot with him in the past but as I distanced myself from playing in the community, I haven't been in much contact with him. He was a great person who was always fun to be around, play with and against and even do things with outside of the community. It really hits hard to hear he's gone, he was an amazing person. Thank you for everything Gamma, may you rest in peace. Here's from when we were both Vega officers and snuck into Ranger bunks to take pictures with their turtle.
  9. -1. Same type of "aw noo not this cool guy that got banned, cmon give him another chance :(" situation. Precedent stands and in this situation I don't think it should be ignored. Guy was in a high-profile position, cheated since he was going away (blatantly at that), and not to mention his contributions at the time essentially become useless as he tarnished any reputation AFSOC had at the time since he was essentially the face of it since he was most active. Also I don't believe it was true that you were only cheating for one day, I heard people complaining about you for days.

  11. After ban wipe, Ozzy used third party software with intent to benefit the server. Or so that is my understanding of it. He utilized a cheat for ESP to gauge distance for a shotgun nerf and used a script to catch cheaters. Though it should be noted he did this without executive approval. Okay so you used aimbot or something in the past, cool. Don't see how that relates to the Ozzy issue besides to the stuff he did PRE-ban wipe. "enforce the rules as we are supposed to, or why have them there in the first place??"- @huskaii Warn every single player who RDMs another then. Go ahead, do it, see how long they stick around when there is nothing else to do. There is a difference between intentionally using malicious software to have an advantage over everyone and a software that if it was renamed to be a staff tool would literally be seen as no problem. There was leniency in the past for those because there was apparent issues, and there is leniency for current rules for sake of fun. Bit excessive unless he like used exploits instead of regular aimbot, esp etc. I remember when I was banned I was playing SWRP and DRP still so if he doesn't cheat on those servers it doesn't seem to much an issue at least from my perspective. Though if the punishment has changed for cheating then that fits I guess. I know I haven't played in a while so my arguments might be slightly dated, but this just seems to be the same type of defense that pops up when a cheater in a friend group gets banned. That being said though I could be completely wrong on these points so point that out if I am. Still cheats and malicious but oki Then why respond at all what was the point of the post besides trying to say, 'I didn't cheat that bad it was only "x" cheat' The context of your post literally doesn't change any of the points made in my post.

  13. STEAM_0:0:155902821 Negatives: You're in one of the most influential positions on RU yet have abstained from posting on the discord and forums in general from what I have seen. Talking with you, you have been pretty open about things you feel are wrong, yet have done nothing to contribute to fixing said things. Maybe you being staff would change this but there is already a bunch of things you could have done without the staff title to assist yet you haven't. Not to mention you almost completely abstained from playing when gunplay wasn't to your liking, which is acceptable but you still didn't make any post about it and instead I had to go around to multiple factions and people to cultivate information for a suggestion to bring the people that stopped playing as much back. Positives: You have been increasingly active and shown positive change. You are mature for your age and have generally progressed past your mingeyness. You have one of the most influential positions on RU and having a staff title would not only help in enforcement but also in bringing problems to light. Now to me, those positives outweigh the negatives, but I'm still going to leave this as neutral. I do feel you have some improvements to be made with your forum and community contributions. By that, I do not mean commenting on Jackal profile and calling him beautiful, but making suggestions, discussions and commenting on said threads.
  14. So will players who make custom skins for their own client side models be banned if this is implemented? Also will these weapons skins be made to only affect the view models of weapons, i.e client view. OR view model and world model view so that others may see your unique skins?

  16. So these three are basically the same and nullified by his clip. Ever since that spot became common knowledge more and more people have been using it, I'm not surprised he looked there considering there was shots coming from that side, meaning there was probably a push to that side and someone would also go up there. His aim is also negligible in this clip, there is many factors that can lead to aim but in that situation I think its more than likely he also hit some body shots and a final headshot considering the guy is crouching. Overall though I think this case serves better as a method to show how inconsistent the current method is at catching cheaters. The first three clips I encounter almost daily when I play, chasing around a invis staff "trying to catch cheaters". The vanish is the same as SWRP and we can literally still see you guys half the time if you are looking at an area long enough. Secondly, the footsteps often just lead people as seen in this clip to the staff. Thirdly to add on, the spectate script used by garnet is detected by almost any cheat, so I doubt he would still be cheating while you were spectating him. +1

Bushes often just have a 1 sided advantage since there is often a render limit put on them that is more than often open to a huge sight line, making the bush useless since a sniper from far away, still sees you. Id say move away from bushes if this is gonna be the approach to them again (though still have a few for aesthetics). Spots that stick out to me rn are just the sand hills and large dunes since it does give snipers quite a bit of cover and height advantage over an area, especially a desert. Again I believe I said this in an earlier thread but trenches could help if done right that offer a counter peak hole to snipers or even just a faster linear route or tunnel system that pushes medium distance combat instead. Perhaps a feature of the map on the test server would help people grasp more spots that could be problematic.

All movement speeds are listed in hu/s (hammer units per second). Also something neat, a hammer unit translates to ~1.9cm, so base 2GA soldiers are running at 5.51 meters per second.   19. Delta. Basecamp was an issue forsure but with the sniper nerf I think it will be a bit harder for people to run out to common spots considering how flat the map is at some points. Notable spots were the "palm rocks" for basecamp. A counter to this could potentially be adding trench routes in the sand or viable cover spots, maybe something like the bunkers used around the map on TaigaForest/Siberia. One major thing I will suggest though, is remove the RAVINE/easter egg. PUSH WAREHOUSE and SILO into the back corners of the map instead of how far they stick out rn. For a map with 3 OBJ's the ones in the corners could almost always have a spot that cuts off access to that obj and either a flank or entire route to MOSQUE. I know I said a lot of things that sort of require some memory from these maps so if screenshots are needed, please reach out. Delta is by no means a perfect map but with some changes it could be really fun with the way combat is at the moment.
  20. Honestly I really agree with @Kendal's post. Though I think limiting SOC factions at the moment could do some good. Have an O-11 that oversees each side and is a respected figure, not a meme. Have General ranks look over SOC branches and actually have things to delegate instead of just being a high up LT. It's really sad to see someone with the rank of General have a squeaky ass voice and spam music out of a 12 dollar microphone. Again, yes its gmod but there should be a standard for that rank. So what would this look like? Well lets say we get rid of MARSOC and SEALs. O-11 oversees ALL army branches, including Rangers and Green Beret, and regular 11B. O-10 is his second in command and fills his role when he is not present. O-7 to O-9 will mainly handle inter-faction relations between the army branches and duties given by the O-10 or O-11. Heavily expand upon faction classes to where they have 6 FREE whitelists (with 3 donor tier ones). Each preferably with different models and unique gear sets. Why this? Well it solves the issue of inactivity among leaders, if we merge current numbers into each faction then we in theory double the officer count and the chance for activity. When it gets to the point of having too many people in one faction, simply add battalions to said faction. Just a thought. Honestly there has been worse. Notable things that are issues rn are Donator SMGs really don't have a place except for maybe FMG( I think it was untouched lol) AR's are kind of outshined by AEK, ironic since its donor and meant to be worse. Statistically it just has better stats than other ARs. I know you might say, nono it has less damage and what not. But no, if a gun has 34-49 damage its gonna be a three shot, no matter what. This makes a gun like the honey badger, which has 47 damage but 57% recoil and 20 less firerate than the AEK not viable at all. I obviously can't speak for all ARs since I am not in every faction but I assume they share similar issues. To add on to SMGs, some pistol stats are better than SMGs right now. I think the FMG-9 should be used as a model for SMGs, and have a variation between Fast firing SMGs with 1200 firerate( or 1350 like old SEAL mp5), but longer reload time, and can't 4 shot with suppressor, and 1091firerate(or what the FMG is) and moderate reload time. Sniper changes have been listed in my suggestion, I spoke to lots of people in the community before making the post and I think it appeals to most of the people that have left. Map wise I am actually enjoying Omega, main flaws I see are Powerpoint being a kind of so-so objective(it just has really 'meh' gameplay, I'll go into more detail if needed). Mosque, Shipment and Cons play perfectly into one another and all feel really nice. It's just a struggle for when one side cannot afford to send people to Cons due to numbers that issues arise. (Maybe give Head GMs the ability to spawn in the fog cube to increase fog during low pop wars?) And the last issue I really notice is the arches, most of them have really long sight lines to them which is problematic for basecamping.
  21. The Orsis weighs 14 pounds... Mosin weighs about 8-9. The 50-cal snipers weigh about 28-34 pounds fully chambered but for balance purposes it would most likely be best fit they share the same stats in regard to the other snipers.
