  1. Only reason I mentioned it is because his entire post is worded in a sense that makes it seem like the faction isn't locked. Whereas Tayler openly said how he would benefit it in the future when it is re-opened and assist the next leader. Care to pm me if you want to continue this. I don't want to clutter this thread and stray from the initial point.
  2. Now call me retarded but isn't GRU locked? Regardless I do think you're someone who'd be good to have reserves. I just don't really see how the 'moving forward' portion fits if GRU is gonna be locked for the time being. I'll ignore your grammatical errors since from what I recall you're foreign. Personally I'd say you should wait before applying considering you just made a reintroduction within 15 hours, however I'm pretty confident you'd be a good face for the faction once it re-opens. +1
  3. He's a lore character. I know you might not get this but working up for something and it being worthless is kind of a slap in the face. Fives is an ARC. He deserves dual pistols at least. They aren't that game changing, they are still a CQC weapon, but they are at least viable and give out more DPS at a medium range. +1.
  4. Things like this that count as just a straight buff for grinding imo will only give an unrealistic advantage and un-intended consequences balance wise for over-looked weapons, etc. Something I would think would be really unique though would be the possibility of unlocking custom attachements through the skill tree. Something like, a new receiver? That increases firerate slightly but reduces damage due to less force in the bullet being exerted. Something along those lines I think could fit perfectly if we're looking for grindy stat boost type things. When it comes to the proposed things like Pyroshot and Necromancer, I think shit like that is just really far-fetched and straying far from what we should realistically be looking for. Something like Dragon's Breath rounds would be a neat addition to grind for, though they should for obvious reasons provide a huge spread increase and damage reduction seeing as fire damage has no drop-off. Could be a joke but all things in an update should be taken seriously.
  5. So lets just only nerf 1 of the 6 snipers? Garnet started the whole sway testing a while ago and its clear that it has somewhat effected Orsis snipers seeing as more people have swapped to M95, Mosin, fuck even shotguns with slugs. I don't fucking see how people decide to complain about a sniper meta then go onto proactively support keeping said meta. If you want snipers to be snipers and not just glass cannons running around the fucking map, support the change.
  6. Mm yes partial nerf to it while also cutting its hold breath time to 3 seconds. Makes sense when the Mosin has no sway at all for any scope has undeniably better stats for handling (i.e your mouse movement isn't restricted at all). This is actually a suggestion I had been thinking of making but in reality, sway doesn't have that much impact sadly. I would really like if sway was more random and it would need snipers to take a second more to take a shot instead of the peak for half a second shit we have right now. A nice compliment to a nerf like that would be to buff bipods to where they negate sway when deployed, though I don't know how possible that is with CW limitations. +1 pretty sure Garnet even said he was looking to adding sniper sway to all snipers in the post he made about the orsis sway. Theres no point nerfing a $30 gun if you're gonna not touch every other weapon of its class.
  7. You're a pretty cool guy.

  9. The updated script knowingly still has render issues. With your distance from him and the way Garnet's map optimization works there is more than likely a chance the person simply was not there on your client-side. now who told you this hun. Rest of your defense is pretty pitiful and really just seems like you're trying to dig yourself out of a hole too fast and digging yourself deeper. Calm down. Also, Ozzy I thought your perms to use the script were revoked, no? Regardless onto the actual clip. Only things evident to me are this; -suspect does not move camera to extend render distance in the slightest -Orsis sway is unseen. I've tested this extensively when Garnet implemented it. Sway does carry over onto the script as it directly effects eye angles. Now you could have been not scoped in for some moments but hey judging off your movement and where you are looking im gonna say otherwise, especially if you're gonna claim you saw a fucking sand phantom. -Not to mention, the fucking sand phantom. You nailed it in the fucking head. The head is one of the last things that will come into render, we would have definitely seen something, before seeing a head that would pop up into render, but no nothing. Now, its a private and idk who the fuck at that, lets say they had an AK, then their head would still pop up a bit after their body and we'd see it as their bones are actually more tight together, i.e big rectangle boy would be seen over arm sticking out. rest of post was too long oh well
  10. +1. Only criticism is I feel if possible each faction should have the same amount of lore characters if possible. Seems a bit biased when Shock has 4 lore classes over other factions. If it's simply due to the models not being there than that is completely understandable. All in all, I think more classes will help flush out and bring players into entry groups and allow us to focus on those and not super edgy secret republic special operations groups.
  11. Not to mention Simone was in the only current managers faction. Also to the people comparing this situation to mine, Garnet and I had a deal. Simone did the same thing I did yes, when Garnet reached out in chatbox to have some assistance with testing an anti-cheat. This testing was quite literally to the extent of the cheaters just aim-locking onto Garnet and seeing if it kicked them. Literally a no-brainer testing.
  12. who? jokes aside take it easy D Rose.
  13. I can tell you over the span of 2 years where I amassed 7 reserves, most through multiple months of being in factions, obtaining high officer positions and assisting the faction, however, none of them are needed. The whole concept of reserves kinda baffles me after looking at other servers and systems. It's really just a backup card shoved in your ass when you move on from a faction. I left a good amount of factions cause the people that made in enjoyable left and it became unbearable. I moved on and was able to get into a new faction and proceeded within it, going on reserves to assist the leader at the time with tryouts for classes (this was literally only because Greshnev had tryouts for specialty classes and because I was still leading his war branch at the time for SSO. Literally nobody does this today.) A lot of people are like "oh but all the work I put in come on man". Really? The work you put in today? So that was what? Holding tryouts? Removing "toxic" and "mingey" people? Not to be toxic or anything but officers today and most enlisted really don't contribute much yall (thats not all of you, some of you acc care about the server and treat it more than a TDM shitfest). From what I've seen, heres how the current progression in SOF goes: Get in->Become friends with everyone->Make fun and good memories and get promoted every now and then->Get officer->Become entitled but still be cool with your friends and also cool now you can host raids for them so you're extra cool. If you really really really wanna keep that rank, just ask if you can duo faction. From what I remember, no rule against it. Handpicks still exist. If you're concerned about your activity just pull a Jim. Sit in your faction on the rank you want for months and deny any promo. (Actually baffles me Coyote and br0ken allow this) If you want to be with your friends, be with you friends! Hop on 2GA pvt and mess around why don't you. We all know you're gonna use donor classes with a reserve MOS anyway if they come back :). -1. Sad to see this suggestion keeps popping up cause I have a feeling if the community shoves the managers hard enough they'll give in to it.
  14. Literally don't know why Horse has a problem with this. One of the things I stated has been happening for a while has been appointment. Or as degenerates like to refer to it as,"Mass Promo". If you're shit is dead and needs a hand there is no need poking it with a stick to check if its alive for a month, you bring it a defib and revive that bitch as soon as you can. Literally the same shit we are doing with SWRP right now. We didn't have enough suitable people so we sized down and appointed officers. Not supporting why Aura was giving GenLt though that's kinda retarded. He's a good officer yeah but having that officer position is enough. New players wont stick around cause there is an epic general, they'll stick around cause the officers care and are doing good for them.
  15. Coming from someone who had upwards of 5 reserves at one point, I can confidently say any reserve that is not an officer reserve really accomplishes nothing. Sure they can help boost a player count of a faction for a war, but that is really all they have been used for in the past. Only time I've seen a non-officer reserve assist in something besides a tryout/war was for Ethan's SSO where trusted members were brought back to assist in operations and trainings for whitelists. That was close to two years ago. If you need to take a leave for a faction it should just be that. An LOA, no coming back mid-way to have LTR in your name. You should not be on the server, you are on LOA. Completely excusable though if y'know you are able to come off LOA early. I've stood by this since the removal of reserves in the first place, if you want to assist a faction, join it. If you really want to assist it, ask the faction leader and higher up staff if you could possibly be appointed to an officer position. It's been done with Larry and several others recently, I don't see how its that hard of a concept to grasp. And hey, if you really want, theres no rule against handpicking, go crazy if you want your buddies to be in your faction so badly. -1.
  16. There was this kid almost two years back who was like 11, had himself as his pfp throwing up gang signs and had his dad buy him RPG. He really wanted to get into SSO and would constantly come to our trainings and tryouts. I also have this clip of him at like midnight hiding a barrel.
  17. Literally would be easier to catch than people using blatant esp. You would see them corner peaking and playing just how third person is right now.
  18. +1 to a full removal. Third person has been heavily abused ever since it's been here and after it's been nerfed. Reason why I'm saying for full removal over just during war is due to people in RP scenario's that still occur during peacetime abusing it to basically just make themselves a periscope and identify a whole scenario without even being seen. i.e, third-personing over a base's wall to see a SOC group with a kidnapee and know where they are without a threat of being seen, thirdperson peaking over a roof to see when to throw a nade for a raid, etc. Third person in general just really nullifies the role of recon since you can be a one man recon team from the inside of a base with really no downside.
  19. So this suggestion basically nullifies Sev having uniqueness in anyway besides being 'Sev'. The whole point of the original loadouts, and the ammendments to the classes that Ching, Swigs and I suggested are to make each class and character hold their own specialty in their right. Furthermore, you're essentially suggesting to add 12 more RPG classes to the server, ~10% of the feasible players in regard to the playercap of 128. Just seeing how you yourself Doggo and many others have been able to quickly get 200-400 kills in events just off the RPG class I don't think adding 12 more for the sake of continuity and 'canoninity' is really important in a balance stand point. RC groups are meant to function as a group to complete a task. In the opening of the game, the Kaminoans specifically go over each members specialization and how each add to a vital role to add to your teams success. The classes as they are, and how they have been suggested in the past, are specifically for balance and to keep RC from being one man armies and to playing as a squad to complete their task. -1.
  20. Orsis shot flings your body 30 feet back, you death exploit and run into the zone and it pops up on your screen, etc. Anything using a cap-zone similar to the war system will more than likely provide false positives.
  21. Forgot to add anonymous comes out of the blue from 5 years of quiet and tries to expose trump for being a rapist.
