  3. Hello, I am not part of the DarkRP staff team, but I will give you a big heads up and say that you need to follow the correct format and read their staff rules. These links will be found below. Also, I have moved your application to the correct subforum. Good luck!
  4. DeniedAfter reviewing the clips that were sent involving your ban, it's clear that you are cheating. The ban will stay.
  5. Hi, please use the appropriate format for a ban appeal: Also, I have moved your appeal to the right section of the forums.
  6. Disclaimer: it is your responsibility to read and abide by our server rules, failure to do so may result in a punishment. Last Edited 8/8/2023 General Rules Do not RDM (Random Deathmatch): Don’t shoot players without proper reason. Consensual RDM is NOT allowed. NLR (New Life Rule) is enforced. Do not use info from your past life unless it was shared in game through in game voice chat before your death. Do not Disrespect in Out of Character (OOC) Chat: Out of character applies to both OOC chat and administrative situations. This also means no harassment. Do not target other players in any OOC platform that is related to Garnet Gaming. Doing so will result in appropriate punishment at the discretion of staff. Do not FRP (FailRP): FailRP is the term applied to actions which are not realistic in a well roleplayed military scenario. Do not be a vigilante. Vigilantism: The situation in which one behaves as an administrator when a player has broken the rules and/or the situation in which one punishes another player for the rule(s) they broke. For example, do not RDM a player who is mass RDMing. Do not Spam: The use of OOC/Advert chat to display unwanted messages sent in bulk rather than one for every reasonable time period is unacceptable. Spamming crowbars as to be an annoyance to other players is also counted as spam and is unacceptable. Do not Impersonate: Changing your name to resemble that of another player in an attempt to act like them or hurt their reputation. Do not Misuse the Report System. Our /report system's sole use is to effectively communicate with staff and inform them of an issue. If one uses /report incorrectly, it may result in an impeded response time for our staff team's performance. Baiting someone to do something that is against the rules is prohibited. Do not Powergame. No forcing interactions or creating unrealistic scenarios to give yourself an advantage in RP. Do not Metagame. Do not use information gained out of character in RP. Exploiting of any kind is not permitted. This includes the server mechanics and addons. Any confusion on exploiting may be clarified by Executives. Players may not use client-sided addons in any way that gives them a competitive advantage. Simple gun skins are permitted, but editing sights to remove the metal but leave the reticle, editing models, or editing skins to make them stand out are not permitted. Loop holing or attempting to loophole a rule is prohibited. Do not VDM (Vehicle Deathmatch). Do not intentionally use your vehicle to kill other players. Jumping in front of a moving vehicle or baiting VDM is against the rules and will result in a FailRP warn to the person baiting VDM. You may not purposefully defibrillate the opposing force, unless they consent to the action. You are not allowed to use the OOC Lounge during war. Rules of Engagement US may KOS Afghanistan soldiers that have a weapon out unless they are on a claimed area or in base. Otherwise, they are treated as a civilian AFG may KOS any US outside of US base, but not in a claimed area or US base. AFG may not use snipers during peacetime unless cleared for an RP scenario or with T-Admin+ approval. Countering kidnapping If a friendly was killed near you or within LOS (Line Of Sight) and perceived in-character, then you can check nearby enemies for weapons used recently with /roll. If you roll higher than them, you can detain them and have them arrested. If they do not comply, then you can kill them. If an enemy was involved with or near someone that has been kidnapped, you may KOS the enemy. Miscellaneous Rules Denial of Tryout Officers of a given faction that are hosting tryouts hold every right to deny you from joining their faction. Their reasoning may be based on anything from your in-game statistics (K/D) as well as your attitude in 3rd party OOC networks. (Ex. Your attitude on the forums and Discord is childish, therefore you may not join MARSOC.) Sub-factions & Branches You may not use /jobs in order to create your own faction that sets yourself apart from other factions. The only factions you may join and be a part of are to be found on the F4 menu. Kidnapping You must be an O-1+ accompanied by at least 2 others in order to kidnap an enemy that is by themselves and not in a reasonable line of vision of their friendlies. You may only hold them for up to 15 minutes unless both parties, kidnapper and the kidnaped, come to an agreement. If you are being kidnapped, you are automatically stripped of weapons, stripped of communications, and are bound to the player kidnapping you. Factions may only hold 1 person kidnapped at a time. Sims Sims may only be called in a claimed area that is not either of the respective country bases. Sims may not be a Free For All and must have some semblance of training to them. Sims may not be continuous. This means that you may not return to a sim area and start firing again without "Sims Start" being called in advert chat again. Clan Tags You may not sport any Clan tags while on the server. Spam You may not spam crowbars, buttons, chat, voice, nor any other such sound or effect that may prove to be an annoyance to fellow players. Names All player must have a targetable name with at least 3 unique characters. No special characters. The only allowable characters in a name are the keys found on an English keyboard. A-Z, 0-9, punctuation marks, etc. Minge/Explicit RP Names or Jobs that would break server rules are also not allowed. AFG Loitering in-front of US Base US players can order AFG players away from US base using /advert. For example, US players can order these AFG to leave LOS of the base. If the AFG players do not comply, then they can be arrested. KOS should only be enforced if the AFG player does not make an attempt to follow the US player's order. An AFG player who lingers or delays the order can be KOS. A US player cannot give an unreasonable amount of time for the AFG player to comply with an order. For example, A US player gives an AFG player 5 seconds to leave LOS of US base - This is essentially RDM. Handcuffs Abuse of handcuffs will result in a FailRP warning. Self-damage Self damage is when you inflict 50 damage to yourself or die from your own weapons. Self Damage will result in a FailRP warn. The only exception to this rule is the use of a suicide bomb. Chat Rules Advert Misuse: The Advert chat may only be used to deliver important in-character information or server announcements. For example, raids and kidnaps. COMMS: Just like adverts, COMMS is an in-character form of communication. COMMS is only discernible to everybody unless specified using [RU] or [US]. This is essentially an in-character chat for RP purposes. OOC: Racist or derogatory terms in OOC are not tolerated. Keep toxicity and arguments to a minimum or take it to PMs. Should you fail to abide by any of these, you may find yourself being warned for toxicity, muted, or banned. Links in chat: Posting links that are not associated with the Garnet Forums, in-game material, and/or faction google documents in chat is strictly prohibited. Doing so will result in a warning for a non-GG link or a ban for advertisement should it be for another GMOD Community. Faction Rules and Information Self Promotion: Do not appoint yourself to a rank you have not earned. This could potentially result in a ban depending on the severity. Permission to Speak: PTS is a form of communication control used by your faction's leaders. When PTS is active, you may not speak without being granted permission to. KOS Zones/Claims: You may claim any area of the map as long as it is clear what you are claiming and it can be reasonably identified by other players. You may not claim your own or the enemy’s base. In addition, you may KOS said claimed area to those that are not in your faction or not authorized to be there and kill them should they intrude on your claim, friendly or not. A faction has a claim until they unclaim it or transfer the claim. You must allow people on the claim at least 10 seconds to leave the claim before killing them. People needing claims for tryouts take priority regardless of the order they were claimed. If two factions both need the location for tryouts, then the first advert called will be the valid claim. Faction Leaders: If you have been recently promoted to a faction leader position, you may appoint a Second-In-Command (2IC) rank, so long as there is availability and proper reasoning. Appointing a new faction leader must be approved by management. Appointing a new faction leader must be approved by management. Additionally, a new faction leader may appoint a 2LT if the faction desperately needs a larger officer corps. This must also be approved by management. Promotions Warrant Officer and Junior Officer Ranks (CWO's, WO's, BMI's, etc.) will have a minimum of 5 days between promotions. Officer promotions will have a minimum of 1 week between promotions. The 2IC position will only be open to those currently holding an active officer rank. If no officers are available, then a WO is eligible. Demotions: In order for a demotion to take place, you must have valid reasoning to back yourself up whether the reasoning is from in-character, or out-of-character. 3rd Party applications such as snapchat images/PMs over Instagram are not valid. Documents: The altering of the documents of your respective faction without permission/valid reasoning is strictly forbidden and may be considered sabotage. Doing so will result in a 1-week ban and permanent blacklist from said faction. Bias: You must treat all members of your faction equally regardless of their age or sex. If excessive bias behavior is picked up on, then it may result in your immediate demotion. All tryouts must be held to the same standard and the entire tryout must be the same for all applicants. The existing faction must test each applicant consistently in the exact same way. The tryout must have clear passing guidelines that are the same for every applicant. Competent tryout leaders may deny the right of someone to tryout for their faction if it is followed with logical and sound reasoning. If you are part of a SOC faction, then you may only play on your SOC faction's whitelists. The only exception is if you have been given permission to swap sides for war-balancing purposes. In this case, you will only be allowed to play on whitelists that do not have a cap limit. For example, you may only play on classes such as Fighter, Support, or Soldier. In order to officially resign and hand the faction to another player, Executives must be notified of the event and have to approve of the new leader. There is NO dual factioning allowed if you are at least the rank of O-1 in any faction. The only exception is with Executive approval. Discord: Abuse of any permissions granted by rank or position in an official MRP Discord will result in a 1-week ban. Raiding Rules Raiding All targets in an enemy base are fair game during a raid including those in buildings. The only thing not allowed is the intentional spawn camp of the enemy. You may not shoot into the enemy's bunks. A debrief must be called before conducting a raid on the opposing nation. There must be a debrief dismissed advert to be able to proceed with a raid. You must be O-1+ to call a raid and be accompanied by at least one other player. You must then advert the raid. Attackers have 1 life and defenders have unlimited lives. Defenders firing back while outside of the base are subject to being shot and killed. Defenders may not actively participate in the raid if they are not within render of the base when the raid is called. You may not participate in a raid as an attacker if you have not rendered in the base by the time of calling the raid. You may hide behind an object so long your client renders. In the event that you are out of render, you may serve as artillery in a raid so long you have access to rocket launchers, grenade launchers, or other such explosive type weapons. However, you may not proceed to join the gunfight at the base that is being raided should you do this. The cooldown per country is 15 minutes. Raids must not exceed 5 minutes in length. Each country's respective Tier 1 Faction may do a "Disguised Raid" every 20 minutes. They do NOT have to distinguish if the raid is disguised. A "Disguised Raid" also starts the cooldown of a typical raid for that country. You can NOT raid with PTE. Raid Rescue You may advert a raid rescue if you know your ally is kidnapped through RP and know their location through RP. There is a 5 minute raid rescue cooldown You may Raid Rescue at any location, including the oppositions base. During a Raid Rescue the kidnapped player may not be intentionally killed by either side. Vehicle Rules Car Usage To be allowed to spawn a car, you must fall into one of the following categories: SGT+ Transporting for tryouts Participating in war Destroying another player's vehicle during peacetime is punishable by a FailRP warn. Unless they are an enemy in the base or following the ROE. Wartime Rules Players may NOT swap for balance unless they are staff or get permission from staff. If no staff are on to rule, players may use their discretion to ensure a war is balanced. Spawn/Base Camping Killing any players located within their base will be considered Base Camping, and you may be warned and/or respawned. Should you find yourself within the enemy base during war, you will be warned for FailRP and promptly respawned. Pre-proxing is ONLY allowed on objectives. If there is a grey area or a pre-prox that ACCIDENTALLY falls just outside an objective, then there will be a verbal warning first. Do not Precap. All players must be within their respective base walls before the 2-minute mark until the war starts. Being outside your base walls after the 2-minute mark will result in a warning for Precap and a respawn. Blocking entrances of objectives during wartime is FailRP. This includes blocking entrances with cars. When the player base is below 60 players, warleads from each side may communicate in order to exclude objectives from an upcoming war. PTE Rules PTE can be granted by an O-1+ or the highest ranking individual. PTE is void upon death. If the individual pulls a weapon out (accidental or not), then they would have to leave the base immediately. Someone with PTE cannot participate in a raid. In addition, any enlisted can accept a PTE request. However, a higher ranking player can overrule the PTE and void it. You may NOT kidnap someone with PTE or for 15 seconds after their PTE ends. You can not get intel/information while PTE is given. PTE is considered out of character. Donator Faction Rules Donator Factions may choose any realistic rank structure. For example, Agent, SGT, Director, General, etc. are allowed while "Fleet Admiral of the Democratic Republic" is not. Donator Factions may have ranks that have O-1+ permissions. Donator Faction members, regardless of paygrade, do NOT have any power over other factions. They are always subordinate to the true factions. Enlisted ranks of base factions do not overrule an officer of a donor faction. In order to have the Donator Faction MOS, you MUST be on a Donator Faction whitelist. Military Police Rules MP cannot leave the base during war. If caught using an MP whitelist out of base during war, then it will be a warn for FailRP. MP can leave base for the following: Reported kidnaps Someone fleeing an arrest/warrant. Checkpoints Reported Malicious Activity of your own country. Issued Bail The amount of money for a bail can differ from different arrests. The money amounts must be in reasonable reach for people to pay it. If there are reports of a bail being too high, then executives will adjust the bail amount. Arresting The things that people can be arrested for should be public knowledge. If caught for something that is not listed, they can be warned for FailRP. Skirmish Rules During peacetime, players with the rank of SSG or above may challenge the opposing nation to a battle on an objective, occupation, or location using /advert. For example, "/advert US begins a skirmish at Trainyard!" Following the advert, the announced skirmish and close surrounding area will be KOS and players will compete for complete control over it for 10 minutes. In the case that the skirmish is centered around an occupation, players will compete for complete control until the occupation is capped. The cooldown for a skirmish is 5 minutes. You may not call a skirmish on a claimed area. A debrief must be called before a skirmish advert is announced and after one concludes. After the initial debrief, a debrief dismissed advert must be announced to proceed with the skirmish. The skirmish will either end or enter overtime when it concludes. You may not return after death to a skirmish after the 10 minutes are up. If members of both nations are on the objective at the end of 10 minutes, then the skirmish will continue until all players of one nation are dead. Staff discretion will be used in sits for potential RDM. Use common sense when estimating what the boundaries are of a skirmish and do not kill player unreasonably far from the skirmish location. To officially conclude a skirmish, the highest commanding officer of either nation must advert it. For example, "/advert US has wiped the AFG off of Trainyard!" Challenge Rules During peacetime, players with the rank of SSG or above may advert to challenge a claim of the opposing nation using /advert. For example, "/advert AFG challenges the Ranger's claim at Match!" A maximum party of 7 are allowed to challenge a claim. Challenges are one life for the attackers and the attackers must advert when the challenge is over. There is a 15 minute cooldown between challenging claims. The same claim may not be challenged twice.

  9. BEEN FUCKING WITH 313 SINCE THE JUMP SON FUCK 313

  10. @Proggy Please move this to DarkRP
  11. +1 and confirming referral Silo has been an integral part of reviving DF and shows more activity than some of the other staff on the server. He's well-known across the community, but I could see how newer players might not recognize him. Silo has always been open to new ideas for DF and I see him carrying that over to staff. I don't find it fair to call him mingy because every player on the server has those moments and Silo straightens up when it comes time to be serious. Also, his hours reflect his knowledge of the server rules. His referrals are all from notable and respected members of the staff (except Twelie). His paragraphs are short, but they are straight to the point. His ban from Smity has to be one of the funniest things I've watched and he handled his bans with professionalism.
  12. @PraetorDon@Wyatt I'd like to see what you have to say about this, but I guess it is easier to just react with "disagree" than to have an opinion on the matter. Both of you know that the meta of the server is absolutely fucked because the server is not appealing to newer players and the meta tends to answer to the cries of veteran players. In my opinion, this needs to change for the sake of the server's health. The only answer vets have when new players complain about the current meta of the server is along the lines of "skill issue" or "try out for a SOC faction." I've had a handful of friends, who are not bad players in FPS shooters, who play the server but stop playing because the combat is brutally unfair and unforgiving for new players - New players are given an assault rifle and have to face vets with one-shot snipers who have thousands of hours on the server. Consider this and ask yourself why this is, why are all of the SOC factions that don't have one-shot snipers asking for them? It's because they're tired of trying to play with the guns they have and want to resort to the simplest way of playing the game. GB, 055, and TSFU have been asking for snipers that can compete with DF, ISI, and Rangers. Objectively speaking, if snipers were only one-shots due to a headshot, then the server would have a significantly healthier meta and would be more forgiving toward new players. I'm going to be brutally honest, I'm sick and tired of veteran players having their heads so far up their asses that they can't see how fucking boring the server is towards newer players. The server is dying and vets fail to realize that their beloved server is in dire need of a facelift. It's not about implementing RP, doing events, or faction-based activities - It's about the recurring event that happens multiple times a day, war. If war is boring and unfair to the new player, then we will never have a sustainable population on the server. Disagree with me all you want, but the scope of my views go beyond the petty faction-level grievances and encompasses the well-being of the server as a whole. The complaints of newer players mean much more to me than the complaints of vets. Player retention is the biggest problem we have on the server and if we don't address this now, we're fucked. We can't keep putting useless bandaids on the problems the server is facing. DMRs would be more viable if the snipers were not so overpowered. These weapons, ie. DF Barrett and ISI JNG, are absolutely massive and are incredibly hard to control when shouldering them (especially after running with them). I would be absolutely stunned if someone could run 100m and still put an accurate shot on a target. Of course, the SOPMOD will outrange and outclass the MP40 at any distance that isn't close range. The MP40 is supposed to be an SMG, so I don't see why a 9mm bullet needs a damage increase. The fire rate and the easy handling of the MP40 are what made the weapon so devastating. I understand that GG isn't trying to be a mil-sim, but if that's the case then why don't we aim for a more arcade-style format? It's not fair that a 9mm SMG is going to have more base damage than 5.56/.223 assault rifles. If this MP40 damage buff goes through, then I want a damage buff on all 9mm weapons and a damage buff on all weapons that use a larger bullet than the 9mm. It's crucial to understand that it's not the gun that does the damage, it's the bullet.
