On paper, I agree with the decision. But in practice, all that this really done is ensure that those people who left and suddenly have nothing to come back to now have no reason to come back to the server. Regardless of the logic or maturity behind that. Maybe this could turn out to be ultimately for the best, but right now from the looks of it, this is something the community is against it. At the bare minimum, recent older leaders should be able to have reserves, should the faction they just led fall apart, but lose them after at least 2 people come after you.

I'd argue that if the rule of Intentional Mass Bans being Perma was introduced the day he got banned, he should be unbanned. Regardless if what he did was stupid or not (although it certainly was stupid), there is no way he could know that change was made, as he wasn't particulary active in the community at the time, so it wasn't exactly fair to him. +1 for unban.

As someone who massed when going away, why you do that to take a break. At the very least you save that for when you leave the server for good. The fact that you said you were gonna mass and then proceeded to do it, okay enjoy the 2 weeks of being banned, whatever. But why make an appeal when dozens of people who are staff included can testify against you. -1 Evidence proves he intended to mass.

The impression I got from all this was that Simone just didn’t give a fuck anymore and went about cheating to expose the hypocrisy and inabilities of those responsible for mitigating the issue with cheaters by cheating himself. Simone got caught real fast, while others who are cheating have reached higher ranks in factions even with a large portion of the server being aware that they are cheating. I don’t think there was much of reason to cry and cocksuck like some have done, but it did show the true colors of some people. I believe that RU SOC could contribute to the discussion by telling 2GA officers how they can improve themselves and what they should do rather than just telling them they are making mistakes. The decline of RU’s, but also serverwide population, that has been stated is a natural thing that happens in between Christmas and Summer, so this isn’t exactly much to freak out over. I’m not sure what this means. I fail to see a problem with “balance” as 2GA and RU SOC are designed for two very different types of playstyles. Again, not sure what you mean by this so I could be thinking of balance in a different manner. The biggest issue 2GA has right now is the officers that guide it, and that is a shame. I am perfectly willing to explain why that is at this meeting and what immediate steps you can take to work towards resolving the issue.

Well for one, DB raids are against the rules to begin with. The DB protection is there to prevent people who don’t know that from massing.

If you have a name that you go by on Garnet for a long time, like many people do, this would be a huge problem for that person but also would be extremely difficult to enforce, as staff would have to get involved in each incident. This would definitely become more apparent with base factions. Its a decent idea if codenames were required to be in a SOC faction, but it's not realistic for this server given its nature.
