  1. Accepted Accepting this because Mark created the report as I was about to start loading in, there were several rule breakers, dealt with them, and with this one too. Thanks for taking use of the /id system to help staff!
  2. Accepted Talk to me, Phantom, or Gildarts to get your rank set in-game (don't use any staff perms till you get trained), and @Pencil to be trained. Welcome to the staff team!
  3. Denied Just like everyone is saying, as I told you on discord, you should put more time into the server/community before you start thinking of applying for staff. Try to get to know everyone, get your name out there in a positive light, make a good name for yourself. Good luck m8.
  4. Accepted Contact myself, Phantom, or Gildarts in-game to be set to your rank, and @draggydx to be trained. Welcome to the MRP staff team m8 .
  5. Accepted Contact myself, Phantom, or Gildarts in-game for your rank to be set, and @Skye to be trained. Welcome to the staff team, again .
  6. Marked it on docs for ya! Your LOA will start June 22nd, so you still got a good way to go till it starts, but glad you let us know early
  7. You currently have a staff application up for the Rust Alpha 5x server: I recommend you edit that post to say you no longer wish to apply to the Rust server, or do that for this application. You should only look to staff on one of our community's servers, and of course, no other community's server while you're staff here. Edit: He took my advice and revoked his Rust Staff Application.
  8. Accepted Contact either myself, Phantom, or Gildarts in-game for your rank to be set, and @draggydx to be trained. Welcome to the staff team!
  9. Denied You should work on getting to know the community more as a player before thinking about applying for staff. Your application seems good, but I don't think you're ready for staff. The 75 hour requirement is barely met in your case, and even then that time requirement is the bare minimum for people to even start to think about applying. As I said before, experience the server more, more importantly the community members, before pursuing staff. Wait at least a week before you apply again.
  10. MRP Staff Meeting 6/1 This upcoming Saturday, I will be hosting a staff meeting to discuss the specifics of staff's role in balancing wars when it comes to a side being outnumbered. Please come to the meeting with any other topics of any kind related to the server, if you have any, otherwise, be ready to discuss the topic at hand. Should be a short meeting, but if anyone else has any other ideas to bring up, it could be dragged on a bit longer. The meeting will start at 6:00 PM EST. Leave a message here if you can't make it and why. If you're able to make it, then put a reminder somewhere and show up to the meeting this Saturday.

    MRP Arsenal 2.0

I think option two would be nice as when you join a special forces faction, instantly getting their class that they're known for, but having a slightly more difficult tryout to get in in the first place could be nice. For example, GRU could do sniper based things for tryouts, and the people that pass would instantly get that sniper. For SSO, we could do things related to close quarters and grenades, and the people that pass would instantly get those grenades and SMG. But I can see the issue with the grenade specialization, having 6 people all with 6 grenades each on an objective could be pretty bad. So if that's too big an issue, I would prefer option one.
  12. SSO Colonel Ethan Greshnev RU Elite : Riot STEAM_0:0:146463742 Apply for a job, finish all the shit for college, and have fun on GG MRP + some other games
  13. Update The tryouts have been updated for our move from CSCDesert to Garnet Iraq! Good luck to those that wish to tryout!
  14. Russian Rules and Regulations Introduction These rules and regulations apply to all Russian Armed Forces currently stationed in the Russian FOB this message will be sent to. This applies while these Soldiers are in or out of the FOB, and will be upheld by the Russian Officers and Officials. The five Russian leaders have come together to authorize this message. If any of these rules are broken, they may be dealt with by punishments the Officers at the time of the situation deem fit (ranging from a verbal warning to a demotion/blacklist/execution). (These Rules and Regulations are subject to change at any time. Any changes made will be pointed out in a reply to this thread.) Rules and Regulations 1. All Russian Recruits are to be treated with respect unless they have deemed themselves unworthy of basic respect. This means that by default, you must first approach a lost Recruit and guide them back on the correct path to getting trained, or train them yourself following the recruiting guideline on the Russian Ground Forces Documents. 2. During the usage of the Russian Briefing Hall, you will enter the Briefing Hall quietly and with your guns away. The Russian Ground Forces line up on the Eastern Wall, with GRU, SSO, Frogmen and Vega following in that order beside 2GA. All Soldiers on the floor will follow three simple rules: Weapons away, utilize PTS properly, and face the stage at all times until dismissed by your Officer. While in line, Soldiers should only turn or move when told to. 3. During the usage of the Russian Briefing Hall, only the highest ranking Officer for Vega/SSO/Frogmen/GRU (Enlisted if an Enlisted is the highest ranking) will stand on the stage, all other Officers will get in line with the Enlisted of their faction. Two 2GA Officers will be on stage to represent 2GA, and the rest will line up in their separate Officer line. 4. When dismissing properly from the Briefing Hall, Vega leaves first, Frogmen following Vega, SSO following Frogmen, GRU behind SSO, and 2GA goes last to do their separate DB in the 2GA building or stay in the Briefing Hall. 5. There are five separate debriefing locations, one for each Spetsnaz faction. The SSO Tower is used by SSO, the GRU Bunker Room is used by GRU, the RU Waters Edge is used by Frogmen, the Nuke Room is used by Vega. 6. 2GA of the rank PVT to JSG (paygrade of E-1 to E-3) may not leave the FOB alone unless granted permission from an Officer, SSO Operative, GRU JLT+, FM SS2, or Vega member, but they may leave in a group in which the leader is a SGT (E-4) or above in 2GA. 7. Soldiers within the Russian FOB must keep their weapons on safety, pointed at the ground, at all times unless for a good cause or purpose. The Shooting Range and the Kill House in the FOB both locations of free gun usage (use the Shooting Range for recoil control or testing of weapons, and the Kill House for improving efficiency in running the KH). All other locations should be used for training purposes as to avoid training sessions being interrupted by gun fire. 8. Special Forces factions are not above recruiting recruits. They must still do this when there are no current 2GA RFRs that aren't already busy training. All Special Forces members must know how to properly train recruits and be ready to do so when they aren't busy with their own tasks.

    Ban Appeal Mikel

It was a mistake on both parts. The Officer put "US raids RU" instead of "/advert US raids RU", and the Enlisted saw that message in regular chat and failed to realize it wasn't an advert. The Officer went on to kill someone and die, but each person, if reported, was punished for their individual kills. Mikel's, however, was four grenades into the enemy base getting 6 kills. So his was the largest, and was the only one punished with a ban. A situation where I think the raid leader should be punished and not the Enlisted would be if the raid leader didn't advert or COMMS their briefing, but still held the raid. Then that is really the Officers fault, not the Enlisted. But yeah, he knows he accidentally massed, just gotta wait out the 24 hours like others have for small mistakes like this that can lead to large consequences, -1.
  16. Beginning of Log-50 We captured a lone Green Beret soldier at Toxic Crater. He confirmed our assumption that he's in the Green Beret, told us that he's a SGT of the role Breacher (signified by weaponry and uniform), and that he was training with Major Flak of the Green Beret. He told us that a Breacher's main weapon is the M3 Super 90 and the sidearm is the Colt M1911, and that his name is Luke. After this, we took him back to where we captured him to look for this Major Flak he told us about, who we did find (at least it was a Green Beret, may not have been Major Flak), who told us that the GB we captured is actually First Lieutenant John. When we asked the captured GB about this, he at first said the other GB was lying, then eventually admitted to being First Lieutenant John. We then ransomed the captured GB to the other GB for $2,000 and returned to base. End of Log-50
  17. Foregrip, the recoil is the only issue with the Vintorez. That's the only difference (besides scopes) from the Vintorez and the AK-103. If not a foregrip, just decrease recoil, because that's all the foregrip does.
  18. I agree, rule should be clarified to state something like this right after it says "host a briefing prior to your raid on the enemy base" it should say "by adverting it or putting a message in COMMS.", so +1 for that addition, and my suggestion was for only the Officer that led the raid to get punished, so I agree your warn should be removed, but if that's the case, the others that got punishments also would have to get theirs removed, which can be done easily, but we'll see if the other staff agree on that verdict or leave the punishments with the updated rule, or neither. I just find it strange to think that the authority in your faction fucking something up causes you to get in trouble when your job is to follow their orders (of course except when it comes to breaking rules, the reason this is an exception is because the rule was a bit too vague). I know what you're talking about, but that wasn't for Conway's warn. Kinda confused why you would just toss this out there without knowing the full context of our conversation, especially when br0ken posted earlier the screenshot of Conway's kill. Here it is for ya @Ting I understand what you mean, but that's not a very good way to think about things. If that's the case, what's the meaning of warns at all if you can just take em and it won't matter? They still matter, still can be appealed, still should be appealed. People who instantly assume that small appeals/reports like this are purely to get people in trouble (some of them are, I get it, but not all are) are the reason change for the better in terms of rules and clarification happens less often than is should. The rules need to stay short, but adding in five words to prevent entire raids that cause many deaths from being considered "false" because someone didn't know they had to type one thing into the chat. Other than those small things, what I said at the top of my reply is what I feel about this appeal.
  19. This is what I am fuckin talkin about m8, can't wait to see what you do to accomplish this goal. Hope you bring some of my ideas at least about the base layout that we talked about, but I know even if you don't, it's gonna be a nice fuckin map. Can't wait to play on it!
  20. No, on Taiga I could hit shots and it honestly didn't feel much different from right now. Still hit reg issues, and I have honestly never seen them get a significant amount better as it is Garry's Mod (not a game made for the best PvP) and it is hard to notice most of the time if a shot that hit and didn't register was you missing or not, just my opinion on it. I did state above in a reply to Gotham that this suggestion is kinda put in place with the intent of it being used on larger maps where travel time to objectives could be an annoyance like Taiga and Sibera/TaigaForest. But there is a way to make it fade away, that's how the spawn zone in DRP works with an effect applied then goes away after time leaving that zone (which is another possibility similar to version two of this suggestion so the bases give you a constant speed boost of 1.5x and go away after a certain amount of seconds when you leave base. Of course, I know that this working for perks would be different, but I know it is possible. Whether or not it is worth the coding effort is another thing, I don't know much about that. But I assume it hasn't been implemented on other perks because it isn't an issue worth putting that coding effort in for.
  21. Yeah, guess I didn't mention that this suggestion is keeping in mind that this suggestion won't be accepted for a while (if at all), and I expected this would only come after the new map is up. I agree, on CSCDesert it definitely isn't needed. That's why I have two versions, you seem to be more on board with the second version which gives you a speed boost only at your base through a vending machine or something, costing nothing, and having no cooldown. Simply would be to get to the objectives faster. The first version is what you seem focused on, so lets talk about that. You say that being forced to have your keys out is strange, but I think it's much better (for those that want to activate their red bull at any time not just at their base) to force keys out so that it takes some actual thought instead of just being a speed boost that is only an improvement. The hitreg issues on Taiga honestly weren't that bad, what was bad was that large amount of special forces members would use it and it would last for 15 minutes, several respawns. So this is what I mean by reinventing Red Bull, it was definitely an annoyance in the past, and I feel it is a good solution for vehicles not being in the server *on other maps, not cscdesert* (I say this because this suggestion isn't needed on cscdesert).
  22. Reinventing Red Bull on Credit Store Description: What I am suggesting is to add back Red Bull to the credit store, but to change how it works. I have two different ideas for how it could be re-implemented. Both involve Red Bull being a temporary item that goes away after it's timer ends (timer being around 10-30 seconds) instead of sticking till death even when the item expires like the other items (if this is possible, if not then the entire suggestion won't work). The difference in the two ideas comes here: If possible, upon purchasing the Red Bull, the speed boost will apply and you will be forced to hold out your keys during the duration of the effect. It will cost around 5 credits (or maybe costing in-game $ instead to give money some use, cost in $ could be like $1,000 each use) with a 10 minute cool down as it will be a temporary boost in one life rather than a long-lasting effect. The second way you could do this would be to bring back vending machine, and remove the /credit menu so that you can only purchase this perk at your base to prevent it from impacting gun fights as often. This would be free to use and have no cool down so you can use it every life. Reasoning: This version of Red Bull could fill the void that not having vehicles has left of speeding to an objective (sadly now as an individual instead of with 20 soldiers all jam packed on the hood). This would also cut travel time to objectives which would allow for those larger maps to be a bit more playable (if it was added for this reason, maybe make the boost free and have no cool down so that all players can use it to get away from base and to an objective faster). If the first version were added, it could be used strategically outside of the base to make flanks/ambushes, but would be risky as you wouldn't be able to defend yourself while using the boost. Additional Information: Use poll to show support, unless you have additional comments/questions that you think should be addressed. If you disagree with the suggestion, I would like to hear about it below in a reply.
  23. +1 to assassinations, a reverse kidnap, has some interesting interactions, only one kill, so wouldn't effect too much, but this could be used as a unique way to kidnap. An example: You have intel that a specific person or group often hangs around our base, or is actively doing so right now, in a pair of two. You could use this to assassinate one with a sniper, which could be organized some way, and then a group of three will kidnap the remaining soldier. There are probably some other interesting ideas for this too, I think it's a nice idea. -1 to silent raids. With the current way the map is laid out, and the current atmosphere of the server, I don't think silent raids would be all that beneficial, and limiting it to only one faction would be real strange in my opinion. Instead, I was thinking that we should wait on this one till the new map comes out. I think my base layout suggestion would be perfect for allowing this to fit in easier as the cliff faces would be very defined and easy to see lines that you can't jump back and forth over essentially. As well as the field in my suggestion being able to be silent raided, but the inner base you cannot, and instead have to advert. Hope you don't mind me slapping my suggestion in here, but this is one of the ideas of RP I was thinking about when making my suggestion, so I thought it fit to put it here.
  24. One thing I have noticed is missing from when I played yesterday was the amount of rifle/smg bodies due to the extra loot in there. Take out the random stuff like windows and fridges as Roy said so that the other items are more likely to spawn imo. I don't know if those things were removed (the rifle/smg bodies), but if they weren't, then the issue lies in the extra stuff that was added making the rifle/smg and useful components like gears a lot less likely. I think that might be the issue, but I have only seen the update for a day now, but that's what I gathered.
  25. This idea I have is just for the bases, which right now, if you imagine it overlaid on CSCDesert, would take up the empty space in the back sides of the map behind the bases, utilizing that space, and then you can do whatever you want with the terrain/objectives in the No Man's Land.
