  1. Ill happily do it, just need to know what you guys want.
  2. They are the new town objective, however there is still a lot more being added there that makes it more of an objective, obviously more cover is the first thing and some more secretive things that you will learn about when the map comes out, although it involves that bridge.
  3. In one of the later updates I will, the updates are too far from completion to really get a good idea of where stuff is and how the terrain is done. But just for a decent reference it is essentially right where embassy was, but more centered, that bridge is just about dead center on the map.
  4. A lot of changes are coming, primarily, a complete rework of the terrain, removal of silo which is going to be replaced with a completely new embassy building, a new town to replace embassy and some minor reworks to the bases.
  5. Not too sure yet, the layout will be different, possibly a bit more realistic, also it will be a lot brighter then the current one. (I know its a bit dark right now)
  6. Hello GG Community, Jimbo and I have been hard at work transforming the Jordan desert into a large mountainous landscape filled with new buildings and cover. The map is already looking so different and this is only the beginning. Lots of work under the hood is being done to make the gameplay a lot more balanced and unique. Jimbo has been taking the times of how long it takes to get to the various objectives from the bases to make sure they are all even. We are paying special attention to the terrain to make sure one side doesn't have an advantage over the other, we also are removing the sniper's ability to lock down parts of the map and in addition we are making secret paths to the objective that snipers will have no power, but shotguns and SMG's will. Another thing that happened which kind of caught me off guard is the fact that Embassy doesn't match the new style of the map and no matter what I did it wouldn't match, so unfortunately that is going to have to be remade from scratch. Accidentally Deleted Screenshot.....
  7. A lot of people seem to not like the way the current map is played, I understand this but I wanna be honest here, this is what people wanted when I was designing it. They wanted something that had similar gameplay to csc which is why the terrain is flatter, they wanted support for cqc which lead to the creation of large single building/area objectives and vehicles were going to be added nerfing snipers heavily. When I ran the two separate beta tests I fixed a majority of the problems that people had and especially on the v2 I made a lot of fixes, but nothing major was brought to my attention at the time or for the first couple months of the maps release. I would've happily made necessary changes to the layout and other related issues if they were brought up either by the forums or by the various garnet members that I have added on steam. I'm not complaining I'm just trying to defend the map that I spent several months working on under the guidance of veteran players and server administration. This brings me to another point, bringing back old objectives/maps would lead to its own set of problems, a majority of the older maps and assets are made in an incredibly outdated way and were poorly optimized and looked terrible (not that looks matter more then gameplay of course). If someone wants to go and design a new objective I would be open to making one but just saying that replacing x objective with the old x objective is actually much harder and much more time consuming then just designing a new one that could lead to better and more balanced gameplay. It's important to me as the mapper to know what is wrong and where I need to fix things but the problem comes in when complaints happen without me knowing and it makes me look like I either don't care about what I'm doing or don't care about the community. If this were the case I would be like most other commissioned mappers and never join the server and never interact with anyone outside of the owner. I didn't only spend months making the maps I spent months on the server and communicating with members trying to design the perfect map. Obviously people leave and new people join and metas change but its important for everyone to understand that these adjustments can be made, I'm only a message away and I'm sure garnet would be up for updating things. Constant updates to the maps happen because bugs are found, layout issues are found, and like I said metas change, that's the way of FPS games, no map that is released is ever perfect, it's also hard to test the maps during a beta with only 20-30 people when over 100 people play on it at a time. Once again I dont want to be seen as complaining, I just want to defend my position as mapper and make it clear that the current maps problems stem from playtime and finding ways to exploit the layout, if anyone wants to submit better layouts or plans please dm me on the forums and we can discuss it, same thing goes with objectives, dm me with ideas and ill talk to garnet and other server administration about updating/completely revamping the current map.
  8. Garnet did say this was going to happen which is why I spent a very long time talking to the then current community leaders and high level faction players constructing a map that they all said would be the big final map for garnet. I set out to please all the players of the server, building everything very carefully in a way that was meant to be for every play style and also play to the once again then unspoken future features of garnet. Also with this I wanted a lot of stuff to do outside of war to minimize the amount of time spent afk and to allow players to work with each other during other times besides war, that was the entire concept for ATTC. It seems like a lot of the dislikes are from stuff that was asked for specifically, for example the flat terrain was probably the most requested thing to keep the gameplay more similar to csc rather then go completely off axis and make a mountain map with paths. I could pretty easily adjust the terrain to make it more enjoyable and modify parts of the objectives and remove unnecessary things and improve the important parts of the map. I guess what I'm trying to get out of this post is what would you have liked to see done differently from what was done? And what changes to the current map could be made to possibly remedy this to keep the server moving forwards rather then back?
  9. Yep, there is a lot of assets being used from the new danger zone map.
  10. Hello GG Community, With the recent release of quite possible the dumbest trailer I have made/seen I feel like there should be a more serious update to whats been going on behind the scenes. The lighting/general look isn't really captured in SFM so I wanted to show you what its gonna look like when you actually get in game. Also I have been working on upping the graphical fidelity of the map to make it feel more lived in and realistic. I wanna give you guys a lot more to do outside of war and more stuff to do in base. Plus the last time you saw what the level looks like it was far from being finished. This isnt all the progress that has been made but you can now get a sense of the style and direction the map is going in. (These are pretty much the only areas that are mostly finished and that I feel will represent what the final map will look like)
