Why should we choose you over other applicants? [minimum 2 paragraphs]

You should choose me because I can bring a lot of realism to events. What I mean by this is bringing cause and effect into all my events. This means that everything each side will do, will have a logical reason behind it, and each decision the players make will have logical rewards or consequences. I feel this is important because even though Gamemasters createĀ events, the way a plot of an event unfolds should be determined by the players.Ā Ā Being a lifelong Star Wars fan, I can bring lore into as many events as possible. I can bring the most realistic possible Republic military tactics and strategy into the way my events are structured. I also donā€™t half-ass things and if I make a commitment to do something, I do everything in my power to fulfill it. Iā€™m willing to learn and take feedback on how I can improve as GM, player and as a member of the community.

You should also choose me because I can be active during usual downtimes. This makes me a good candidate because it Iā€™m in a position to help the server grow by reducing downtime. It also gives me time to practice and refine GM abilities so when Iā€™m helping other members of the GM team on events, I am able to be a bigger help and better at making their vision for an event doable. Both of these mean that I can be more reliable to both the GM team as well as the player base.Ā Ā Iā€™m usually active from 8-12 PM EST and Iā€™m willing to create events and challenges for players on at that time and to keep players on later. Iā€™m willing to serve in any role that the player base wants, whether itā€™s spawning Droids for a patrol or making mini events for players in a later time zone.Ā

Have you ever been banned or punished on any server? If so, Include details: Never
How much time do you have to contribute to the role?: 4-5 hours daily during the summer, I start college in August so it will change, hopefully not by much.

In your own words, what Ā are the responsibilities of a Gamemaster?: The biggest responsibility of a Gamemaster is to make sure the server has as little downtime as possible. This is by both helping other GMs with events if they need it as well as being able to come up with events on the fly if there are players on and nothing going on. Game masters are also responsible for making sure events are new player friendly so a new player who joins the server during an event wants to stay. Itā€™s also the responsibilityĀ of a Gamemaster to not completely dictate an event. Events should be made so that players can make mistakes or make decisions that donā€™t disrupt the event. If a Gamemaster is going to put a player in a position to make a decision, all reasonable options should be feasible and connect back to the plot.Ā

Describe how you would contribute to RP as a part of the Gamemaster team: I would contribute to RP by making events spread out, so that smaller groups of troopers are the focus for RP scenarios. This is because people tend to get bored when a large group has to watch a few players RP. I would also give assignments to units not actively involved in the event, for example if the 327th was involved with an exercise and needed med evac, I would make sure a unit with medics was on standby for MedRP, even if they were on base during the exercise. I would also make vehicles more involved in RP, for example an Exfil LAAT gets damaged on arrival and the remaining clones must hold off the droids while the pilot and any engineers attempt to repair the ship.

Explain your single most creative idea for contributing to the RP environment of the server:

This is a multi stage event that will involve unit specialties, stationing units at outposts for a while and creating multiple important objectives at once, making ground commanders communicate and coordinate their forces in order to succeedĀ

The Kamino Plot:

Ā

Pre-Intro: (4 EC- Gang Member x1, Commando Droid x2, Civ x1)

A civilian will come to the Gate and demand that the Republic put a stop to the gang raiding and stealing from the village. The 91st will be dispatched on Speeders to investigate any disturbances and report back. They will encounter a lone raider on a speeder and must try to capture him.

IF THEY SUCCEED: the 91st will take him to OP Zulu to await transport back to base. An LAAT will be dispatched to Zulu, carrying CG and 501st. The 501st and 91st will hold Zulu as an active display of aggression against the gangs while CG will attempt to transport the prisoner back to base for interrogation. Commando Droids will attempt to shoot down the gunship at a location unknown to the clones (Downed LAAT). If they do so, CG will have to roll for fighting ability, if they roll high enough, they can attempt to fight off the droids, if they donā€™t they will be injured in the crash and captured by the CIS. If the droids do not shoot down the gunship, the prisoner will give up the caves as the gangā€™s hideout during interrogation, but will later attempt suicide in the cells.

IF THE 91ST FAILS OR THE DROIDS SHOOT DOWN THE GUNSHIP AND CAPTURE SURVIVORS: the 91st will be directed to OP Zulu, to be joined by the 501st. The thinly stretched Republic forces will send the 41st to town to speak to the scared Civ. If they talk to him, a gang sniper will attempt to kill him, if the 41st protect him, he will tell them that the gang members are stealing parts to build a signal jammer in the caves. The 41st will be sent to recon the outside of the caves and await RC. If the sniper kills the Civ, the 41st will follow the sniper back to the caves and comms it in.

END OF PRE-INTRO.

Ā

Intro: (4 EC- Gang Leader x1, Gang Member x2, Droideka x1)

RC will be dispatched to the caves and attempt to locate the signal jammer, however, as soon as they leave base, the jammer will be activated, stopping all Republic communications. Once the RC have entered the cave they will encounter heavy resistance from the gang members as well as a small CIS group. On the far side of Anaxes, General Grievous will realize that the signal jammer is in jeopardy and launch two full scale attacks against Anaxes Base and OP Zulu. Both Anaxes Base and Zulu will be unaware that the other is under attack until RC succeeds in destroying the signal jammer. If the Gang Leader survives the battle in the caves, he will reveal the location of the Separatist base as well as the location of Grievous and the prisoners (Bravo), saying that the Separatists were paying him and he has no loyalty to them. After the signal jammer is destroyed, the droids will fall back to Bravo, in preparation for the clone attack. The clones will arrive at Bravo and encounter heavy CIS resistance hoping to rescue the prisoners and capture Grievous, but once breaking through, they will realize that Grievous had duped them and isnā€™t there. When they attempt to contact the base, they will receive no reply as Grievous had used the assault on Bravo to enter the unguarded base and steal critical Republic intelligence. As the clones return to base, they will see Grievous fly past in a starfighter and escape the system.

Ā

MAIN EVENT: (5 EC- Grievous, CIS Scientist, Jedi, 28th Battalion Clone Commander, 28th Clone Trooper)

MAP: Starfall Outpost

After Grievous escaped Anaxes, Republic Intelligence tracked Grievous and the military intelligence headed towards the Kamino System, however they lost him in a nearby Republic controlled system. At the same time, the Republic loses all contact with the Republic base, under the command of a Clone Commander leading the 28th Assault Battalion and a Jedi general, the last transmission being a request for medical supplies, before a ship enters the atmosphere. The 34th Battlegroup is sent to the system in order to investigate the loss of communications and deliver supplies as well as capturing Grievous. After landing in the base, the clones discover the 28th Battalion seem to be infected with some sort of disease, causing them to attack their own brothers. After initially retreating, the 34th battlegroup are given authorization to kill and ordered to sweep the base. While they sweep the base they will discover an injured member of the 28th Battalion, who was holding out against his infected brothers. He will need to be taken to the Medbay for intensive treatment and has a chance of not surviving his injuries.

If he survives: He will tell the clones that he noticed someone tampering with the baseā€™s water supply a few days ago and most of the clones seemed to get very sick before seemingly dying while their body still functioned. Then Grievous snuck into the base, killing almost all the survivors except for him, the Commander and the Jedi, kidnapping the latter two.

If he dies: Any clone engaging in FoodRP will cause another outbreak.

Ā

After the 2nd outbreak (if there is one), clones will discover a vial labeled ā€œProject Guillotineā€. Analyzing the vial will reveal the fingerprints of a former Republic bioweapons specialist who defected to the CIS after realizing he would be useless in a war against a droid army. If the Clone Survivor is still alive, he will identify them as the person tampering with the water. The clones will be asked to complete all of the objectives as Grievousā€™ movements leave the Republic to believe that there is an imminent threat to Kamino. The recon units (41st and 91st) will scout the planet for the Scientist and Grievous as well as the captives. They will determine two possible locations, the Temple and the caves. The 212th and 501st will be sent to each location to assist the Recon battalions in clearing each one. (The location of the targets and whether they are together or not will be at the GMā€™s discretion. As a rule of thumb, the Jedi will be with Grievous and the Scientist will be with the commander.) The 104th and the 327th will be tasked with repairing the water system with CG guarding the base. If hostiles are encountered at either of the locations, the engineers will be sent to support the offensive. After Grievousā€™ location is discovered, Grievous will contact Darth Sidious who will tell him to leave the Jedi and secure the Bioweapon, regardless of what happens to the scientist. Chancellor Palpatine will contact Commander Fox (or CG leader) instructing CG to recover the intel Grievous had stolen without alerting the Jedi, and transmit it directly to him, as the intel contained information about Cloning procedures on Kamino that the Chancellor wouldnā€™t like the Jedi Order to find out. If the scientist is in a different location from Grievous, Grievous will enter, kill the scientist and release the bioweapon forcing the clones to choose between falling back and surviving and capturing Grievous and dying. Grievous will escape the system, but the Republic would have stopped the bioweapon from ever reaching Kamino, so it is considered a victory. If CG recovered the intel, Palpatine will contact Fox to thank him for his loyalty and tell him that bigger assignments are in his future.

Ā

END OF EVENT

Please list and explain 5 unique event ideas of any scale: [Be sure to include any additional context that may be necessary to your explanation]

  1. Free Anaxes

An anti-Republic movement on Anaxes will grow under the leadership of an extremist. A report will come in that the extremists have captured the most pro-Republic civilians and are planning to execute them as a show of power. As the clones are sent out, the extremists will capture the comms tower, cutting of Republic comms. The clones must work to rescue the loyalists while avoiding being ambushed by the extremists and avoid killing neutral civilians who will be around the map. Any neutral civilian killed will lead to more Anti-Republic sentiment leading to more frequent and stronger ambushes.

  1. Infestation

A Republic patrol will encounter a type of large aggressive bug on Anaxes. The clones will be sent to rid the planet of the bugs, but it seems every time they kill one, they find two more. This will involve the clones needing to coordinate and communicate in order to stop the infestation from spreading, especially into the base.

  1. Bane of our Existence

After a string of high profile jobs, Republic intelligence has tracked notorious bounty hunter Cad Bane to the Hutt slumworld of Nar Shaada. The most gracious Jabba the Hutt gives the Republic permission to search Nar Shaada as even his most skilled people have failed to find the bounty hunter. He will even give the Republic use of a base used by the Hutt Clans to stage the operation, however warning them that though he honors his agreement with the Republic, not everyone on Nar Shaada feels the same. Clones will have to work in teams to find the bounty hunter, and encounter smugglers, gangsters and criminals who might not be happy to see the Republic.

  1. The Trial

After a clone trooper is accused of murdering a civilian, a group of clones who believe he is innocent must search the planet and question civilians in order to bring the real killer to justice before the trooperā€™s trial ends in a firing squad. This event will involve a lot of RP in a situation where players are working against the clock to save one of their own.

  1. Senate Rescue

After a Republic Senator is captured by the CIS, the 34th Battlegroup will be sent on the RAC Resolute to intercept the Separatist frigate. Once they find the Frigate, they will be sent in boarding parties to rescue the senator and destroy the separatist ship. This event will involve dogfighting, stealth and trigger discipline to succeed.

/playtime and put in your steamID so that the team can know exactly how many hours you have.

Ā

Other than this, you application does look pretty nice, but that could just be since i'm on mobile.

Hey Snapper, thanks for fixing all that was wrong with the app! You're a big figure in this community and was pretty active when you had your PC. Would be happy to see you as a GM. These events look pretty fun and I'd be excited to see these play out. Good luck.

I do thinkĀ  that the paragraphs could be beefed up a bit. Paragraphs should be around 4-7 sentences and you barely have 3.

Ive added more to the paragraphs as well as all three of the shortestĀ eventsĀ

+1Ā  "The Kamino Plot" is well written and described. I liked the layout of it and especially the plausible multi-plots. You've shown great activity and have a great lengthyĀ application.Ā Becoming a gamemaster is a good step for you.Ā
