MilitaryRP Super-Admin Popular Post Ozzy 2,003 Posted August 30, 2020 MilitaryRP Super-Admin Popular Post Share Posted August 30, 2020 Description: Those of you that have been on as of late may have noticed that there are now text screens on those formerly useless rooms by the stairs in bases. Each of the 3 active special forces factions (sorry base factions but there are only 3 rooms) per country have a room designated for them. Breaking down the suggestion: Each Bunk is automatically claimed by the designated faction and KOS to anyone else unless they are given perms. Thanks for the empty room? No problem! Server is fixed now right? Lol okay so here’s what makes this suggestion fun and engaging, faction members may buy props, lights, and other fixtures for their bunks! There will be a fixed catalog listing all available items for purchase and their cost. In addition to the individual items, there will be group packages available at a discount, and full on room packages available at an even greater discount. So who do we pay? Good question. We can get fancy and ask Garnet to get really technical with an NPC… OR payment will be given to an executive who must drop the exact amount received in an unattainable place; ie: noclip to some random space between the sit rooms and Town, give it to a bot. Another possibility is that it’s pooled and used as prize money for non-rp events. Sounds great but how can we trust Gythem and yourself to not skim some off the sales? Valid concern. There will be a publicly visible (only executives can edit) document detailing each transaction per faction. Okay but how do we keep track of YOUR money?? Yes, you can no longer press tab to see who has money. However, a quick visit to your local Duel NPC will show you everyone’s current holdings. Ozzy, I bought this shitty chair but now I have enough for a couch and I no longer want the chair. The cost of that chair is deducted from what you’ll be charged for the couch! In other words, trade-ins are welcome! *Store credit only, you won’t get the actual money back. Shoutout GameStop* Within reason of course. If the items are of a similar nature or you ran out of room for example. Reasoning: Creating uses for in-game money has been a point of conversation for a few months. I see this as a great way to add value to in-game money and in a way that allows factions to have fun with it. It allows factions to express their personalities and have a place to chill, meet, and utilize any way they want. The only con I see is that too many props could possibly affect performance. Additional Info: If Garnet says he’ll consider this, I’ll work on the Catalog and Receipts docs ASAP and post them here. 1 12 Link to comment
Forums Moderator eli_ 641 Posted August 30, 2020 Forums Moderator Share Posted August 30, 2020 We have bunk customization on SWRP and it makes money actual worth something instead of just something that's totally useless. On top of that it helps battalions/players to come together and pool their money for something cool. Honestly this would be dope and it'd be sick to see this on MRP. +1 Link to comment

That’s the order I had put them in if you take a look. It works as an incentive to try and work onto the other factions. Definitely not meant to be a diss btw, but it’s fact that they should be easier to get into. 1 1 Link to comment

StarWarsRP Administration Team Jake 933 Posted September 4, 2020 StarWarsRP Administration Team Share Posted September 4, 2020 (edited) I was going to do this a little while ago but this is how the system works on SWRP. You can ask to be taken to the item room or whatever they want to call it from there you can see all the props that can be purchased and the prices for them, you then pay the executive who will spawn and perma prop it as you wish, they will then dispose of the money by putting it somewhere that cannot be accessed. Credits are the currency of SWRP just like $ on US, we don't trade in actual AFK credits for those who have not played. This is what the item room looks like on SWRP. Overall, +1 if done properly it should not cause any lag but will improve the aesthetic of the server and respective F.O.B. Edited September 4, 2020 by Jake Clarity Link to comment

I'm pretty sure everyone has access to /getmoney as well which will tell you how much money someone has. String is just /getmoney (ID/Name) Other than that +1 Allowing customization for players is almost always a good thing in my eyes. Not only that it gives people something to do with money, which currently has little use other than prestiging. The money being circulated back through events is also a great idea. Link to comment
Gythem 311
Your suggestion has been ACCEPTED (if Garnet gives permission) The suggestion will be forwarded to Garnet since Managers don't have access to spawn props outside of GM on Duty. Keep in mind just because your suggestion was accepted doesn't mean it will 100% be implemented. @GarnetI'd like to make sure you're ok with me accepting this as it would save props to the map files. 2 1 Link to comment
