What happened? (include any proof): (context): What had happend is i had raided a group the group consisting of: x12,dovey,Good boi, twisstyggs. (vid of raid):https://medal.tv/games/garrys-mod/clips/1lRrgEIL1HL9xu/d1337JQqdyCH?invite=cr-MSx3TWssMTkxMDE5MDE4LA. Now after the raid  i was asserted with the notice as the following from x12: 

 

I then reply the reason stating why i had raided the base by saying:

 

Context during sit: x12 should have a clip of this sit when he would be responding to this appeal. Basically what happened was he stated that i would be getting banned for harassment, along that didn't state how long the ban would be, during the sit when the clip is provided by him you can hear a tone of anger/upset coming from him. He had stated to me that i had harassed dovey. I replied in what way had i harassed her, x12 replied with i called hear names in chat and that i was toxic, i then asked trash talking is harassment?, he replied with yes it literally is,then told me that i dug myself into this hole. I did not call her any names as the chat ss provided above i had simply said that "she came on a 10 year old game seeking validation", and that "she was not good enough for vr chat so she came here". Not once did i call her a name it was simply trash talking. He did not leave any room for me to defend myself given the emotions coming from him that being anger/upset. He then replied that he would try and extend my ban during the sit.

 

After the ban he stated this in ooc:

 

Why should your ban be removed?:

 The reason my ban should be removed is because this is not harassment. It is simply dissing, x12 should understand this given that he is lead admin, it would probably at most be considered diss in ooc nothing else. Other than harassment from other players stories and other staff that i had asked what would be the definition of harassment they stated it being, being near a player during there playtime constantly and ruining there experience on the server or if anything would be directed to someone for a long period of time this situation lasted no longer than five minutes, i was also never told to stop or giving a warning, even before the sit was taken he dissed me in ooc and did not prevent the situation from going on like it did and had not provided a warning that this would be a lead to harassment instead he went along with trash talking as well. Aside from my pov before i had started my side of trash talking i had left base and dovey started the trash talking by saying "i hope my whole family get diabetes", and said  "i hope you die a slow death"<--- (this was in chat unable to provide ss but was stated from memory). To sum up this x12 acted unprofessional given the situation and instead contradicted himself by saying after my ban in ooc ("cant wait for the appeal, ganna be an easy one"), also along with going with no given me a chance to speak on my behalf he rushed the sit so that this would happen on the forums. If this is considered harassment then  dovey should also be banned for 6 months since she had dissed me twice and i had dissed her twice (not saying that i want her banned just simply stating the logic here), also (x12 would be givin a warn in game stating "sythe you got major issues"). x12 did not assert the situation as a lead admin should be that being stopping the trash talking from both partys. And i am to say that i believe this was a biased ban because  i think x12 was in the party with dovey but i have no proof of that other than x12 printers being in the base that dovey was basing at and i understand if that is not enough proof. If this would be my first ban offense on harassment then it should not be over 6 months for a diss, a normal ban would be around 2 weeks-1month.

 

Note: This would also be unfair if there were no consequences on x12 end in regards to the situation and  him taking it un professionally as a lead admin.

As the person who was primarily affected, i do think that a 6 month ban is quite excessive, especially for harrasment, because ive seen people seriously bother others for an extended amount of time and only get 2-3 weeks. I believe that the situation was handled wrongly because X12 was also affected from the raid, most likely agitating him, which might have made him respond to the situation harshly and unfairly (understandably). And in regards to Dovey's Response saying "i hope your whole family dies of diabetes", while rather rash and disrespectful, probably come from the heat of the moment. (which doesnt excuse her for those actions) But is understandable because no one likes losing their printers after a while of printing. 

We should definitly lower the ban time.

Ok I'll try to explain my thought process through the entire thing and why I decided to ban you. So what started this chain of events was you stealing printers that my friends and I were trying to transport followed by you raiding another friend's base. What you did was 100% valid and you followed the rules. I was however confused at first because I thought we were cool because we were nothing but nice to you the past couple of days and thought we were just chill. I had heard reports of you being a toxic player but I initially dismissed those claims because you I had not seen you done anything yet. So I was like whatever, it is darkrp and you're allowed to raid whoever. You then decided to insult both Dovey and I for no apparent reason. The first two rules of the server are "Do not disrespect other members of the community when out-of-character (OOC)" and "Do not harass, grief, or troll players of the community".  Considering they are literally the first two rules listed, I expect players to follow these and show other people respect, I especially expect long time members to know these rules better than anyone else. Everyone is supposed to have fun on the server and I do not tolerate players that make the server uncomfortable for others. 

 

In OOC, you decided to say: 1) "sorry i just dont like women that seek validation on a 10 year old game honest to god its cringe af", 2) "i dont like simps either", 3) "i mean at least im taken", and 4) "dovey wasnt valid enough for vr chat so came to gmod". You claimed in the sit that you considered your messages to be simple trash talking: https://imgur.com/a/yFiS5UD. I 100% disagree with you. Trash talking is like going up to someone in game and saying they have shit aim, aimlabs is free, they have a shitty base, etc. You're just commenting on their in-game mechanics but you attempted to attack our personas which is not considered trash talking, you went out of your way to insult us multiple times in OOC. Don't act innocent and be like we didn't know your intentions. You said those messages to just simply be toxic. When I brought you into the sit, I wanted you to show some type of remorse or maybe even apologize but you did not care. In your head, you believed you were just chatting and I knew nothing was going to change no matter what I said, you were just going to continue being toxic. You've been on the server a long time and you should already know you cannot act this way towards another player for any reason. Your intentions are clear, you are just here to make the server uncomfortable for players and I do not think you are fit for the community if this is how you act after a singular raid on people that had only been nice to you. Too many mods let the harassment get too far before they ban and I was not about to let that happen. Anytime someone makes a toxicity or harassment report, I take it seriously because my main mission is to make sure everyone is happy on the server. And when I saw that two other senior level staff members agreed that you were toxic, I decided to ban you for harassment after taking into consideration you have been a long time member of the community that knows harassment is not allowed period. 

 

Dovey has been getting harassed by other players of the community the past two days and I was tired of giving people the benefit of the doubt when their intentions were clear from the beginning. I'm taking a stand here and not going to allow players that are overly toxic towards others be on the server without consequences. I have provided proof of other OOC messages she's been receiving from others below. It's absolutely disgusting what people have been saying to her recently and you were not helping with your OOC messages. I was not going to give you special treatment on the server just because you're a long time VIP member. I actually hold you guys to a higher standard and you should be role models to newer players to show that our server can be fun.

So that's my reasoning for my ban. I'll let whoever takes care of the appeal decide whether or not they think the ban was justified and whether or not they think it should be reduced. I've said what I've wanted to say and if staff has any questions, feel free to reach out to me.

Basically, He was banned because you were defending a woman?? If you are quoting "OOC Disrespect" in these screenshots you showed no effort in telling other players not to disrespect scythe.. You Let The server disrespect him because you were raided..... Thats completely unfair... -1 to you....

I can't even believe this is a genuine argument for this post. Is this not considered harassment by your standards? According to you this the rule you are referencing:  "Do not disrespect other members of the community when out-of-character (OOC)" and "Do not harass, grief, or troll players of the community." Is this not the rule you and dovey are also breaking by dissing in OOC? If Scythe is banned for this then why aren't you and dovey too? Also even IF you think he is dissing in OOC then why tf is he banned for harassment? 

Firstly let's breakdown you argument. These are all disses and are not any form of harassment imo. I have seen much worse with little to no repercussions. Why is that the case?

In all the images shown from @X12_and everything from @its_sythe these are obviously disses and nothing more. No idea how you could consider this harassment. Also since this was during the sit is there a clip for how the sit was handled? What was said? If there were constant threats in the sit then I could see harassment but honestly the "evidence" you posted makes your argument less valid.

I honestly don't know what to say about this... is this not the definition of a bias sit? He clearly sought it out and banned him for "I do no think you are fit for the community if this is how you act after a SINGULAR  raid on people that had only been nice to you." So you take a sit for someone in your party, then you decided that he is not fit for this server because he inside raided you and dissed in OOC after the fact. I don't really know what you were trying to achieve with this argument. In my opinion this is obviously favoritism and definitely not harassment.

What are his intentions? He raided you from the inside because you let him in? Is that not the point of the whole game? He obviously got pissed once dovey said "I hope you family dies" clearly dovey intentions were to start an argument with him instead because she seemed a bit salty about losing prints. We all understand that. Don't think there was ANY underlying connotations made by him other than the ones you procured in your mind. Seems like this is just a simple situation of someone getting butthurt and an L Admin defending them because they're "friends".

I think it is quite clear reading through this that YOUR intentions are to save you rank by posting this mess of a response to try and make something from nothing. I cant believe this was handled this poorly especially by an L Admin. You preach to us about being a role model when you can't even stand up to the plate yourself, admit this is a mistake and accept it. Rather you make this argument that honestly paints you in the worst light possibly. No Idea why you even tried defending this at all.

ACCEPTED

Harassment is a repeated and/or ongoing series of events targeted at a certain individual, from the proof provided by Sythe and by x12, I do not see this as sufficient enough to warrant a ban for harassment, let alone a ban for 6 months. Extended ban lengths are reserved for the most extreme offenses, and this is not one of those cases.
