{GG}otham 812
The rules of this server has always been to not only follow, but also use a bit of common sense. My proposition is to remove the staff protection of Recruiters and recruits alike during a raid scenario. This does not include the standard "don't go into/shoot into any buildings" rule. With the current rules, going into a raid is pretty damn risky in terms of you getting a warn or not. When initiating a raid, you have multiple enemies with guns firing at you, and in with the mix you also have recruiters and recruits. No, this is not at all me saying that people should raid to kill recruiters and recruits, this is me saying that it should not be ruled as against the rules. Protection for recruits and trainees could easily be provided via faction rules against killing them. I.E If an officer sees one of his soldiers killing them intentionally, that person should be punished. A lot of the time this is never an issue, but this does not mean that recruits and recruiters don't get shot often. Hell, there are raids where grenade factions do nothing but throw them blindly off roofs. It's not an issue because it's not usually reported. Why is it not reported? Well that's simple, it isn't really a big deal. A recruit or recruiter dying just means that in 5 seconds they will spawn in nearly the same area and have little to no issue refinding each other. If people start reporting this, and staff actually take it seriously, the whole server is about to have a bunch of naughty players with a surplus of warns. The risk of recruits and recruiters dying is worth less than mean well players getting punished from an overinterpreted server rule. This is a photo not unlike a scenario I was just faced with during a raid. I adverted raid and saw a large force of RU standing in the middle of the base. As they began firing at me, I of course returned fire. BUT OH WAIT! if you didn't notice, there is a recruiter and a recruit smack dab in the middle of the enemy force. Oh dear, if I hit either of them i'll get warned for RdM. 2 1 1 1 Link to comment
Guest Gildarts
Sucks To suck idiot -1iq To be honest they should be KOS-able since they dont need to be outside to train until they are showing them around. Edited February 9, 2019 by Gildarts Link to comment
{GG} CJ 198
Agreed, They dont necessarily need to be taken outside to train.. Honestly everything can be done inside. If they wanna know a certain building? show them afterwards? Plus its a role-play scenario (correct me if im wrong)..why are staff coming into the play. I can only assume you were brought into a staff sit after this to even make this suggestion.. if so you shouldn't be punished. Edited February 9, 2019 by {GG} CJ Link to comment
{GG}otham 812 Posted February 9, 2019 Topic Author Share Posted February 9, 2019 (edited) Breaking News! The finest leader of 1MD has figured out the best way to keep his base secure from the monsters of Russia. Every marine DI that is posted in the middle of base has been trained and is ready to hit the /report button at the shot of a gun. This latest technology has RU Officials reeling. Further evidence of the concept has been provided by the US Department of Defense. As you can see here, once organized, 2 or more DI's can build a sufficient enough wall to stop even an army of men. Look at the Russian's faces, complete bamboozlement. Edited February 9, 2019 by {GG}otham 1 4 Link to comment

(Not that that's an issue from my point of view personally, I'm just trying to get your perspective.) Its based on the idea that killing recruits (though frowned upon) should not be against the rules. With that rule intact to any degree, it would be hard to prove whether someone killed them intentionally or not. So, at the very least faction leaders should keep an eye on their guys. Instead of a staff member trying to prove intent. Link to comment

Volatos 34
+1 He knows what he is talking about and is trying to make it fair for all sides. It can be hard to tell if they're training while far away and not seeing recruits, and causing people to get bans for this isn't fair. They're soldiers, they can handle a raid, and if they can't, run away. This should be thought over by all the head admins for sure. Great idea general. Link to comment
Phantom 1,548
I've been talking about something like this recently myself. I personally think buildings and all personnel in the opposing base should be fair game, minus straight up spawn camping (shooting someone immediately as they spawn). 1 2 Link to comment
